Q Please explain the process or mechanism of baptism with the Holy Spirit.
S That is bringing the Holy Spirit within, into self, by the opening, in truth, of that which is the path by an individual. To an extent, this brings in, then, all that we have said before: that which is the exercise of the body, that which is the feeding of the body, that which must be prayer and meditation to feed the soul. It then opens the way for the Christ within to meet that which is the Holy Spirit from without, that they may become one and active within an individual.
Q Please clarify why it was necessary for Jesus to be glorified before the Holy Spirit could be given as indicated in John 7:39 and John 16:7.
S For what is glorification but that which is the glory of God or that which is the working of God or God’s mercy or love. It, the glorification, must be the purification or the truth made known.
Holy Spirit coming to Jesus at the time of His baptism.
This question is for (260). Is the spirit that Jesus gave up on the cross the same spirit that was given to Him at His baptism?
S No. But part of a collective. Once again, you are dealing with that which there is little word image for the entities here but view it as a bird with wings. That which was given at baptism was a wing. Another wing was collected later, each wing being composed of feathers to make it fly.
Q Was He without a spirit prior to His baptism?
S That, which was the I, AM was present. That which is the Christ Spirit unfolded, as you might say, was present. But the Spirit of the Lord or that which was the Holy Spirit in this case, came to the entity. The Spirit of the Lord being present within self, or that animal force too; and yet not used, as those others were not used to the fullest.
Q It was stated that the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus like a dove, and the Source said that those who were inclined to the spiritual nature, even inclined not perfected, saw something. For understanding, what did they see?
Baptism and the Holy Spirit
Q Is it necessary to be baptized, then, to receive the Holy Spirit?
S Baptized by spirit, not by man.
In meditation when we are baptized by the Holy Spirit, the voice within will tell you same, baptism by the Spirit is like a firecracker to dynamite, when comparing our baptism and Jesus’.
Luke 3:21-22
Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened. And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
S Who is not the son of God, the daughter of the Lord, child of the Creator? In that time, in meditation, when you are baptized by the Holy Spirit, will come that voice from within telling you of same. Therefore, regardless of the time consuming, the impatience of self, meditate, meditate. For meditation brings forth actions, and it is given, “actions speak louder than words.” Then let your words be of the Lord, your actions of the spirit, that you truly will be a child of God.
Q When we are partially christed, how would that compare and how would it differ with what Jesus, the man, experienced here?
S The awakening word within a child of God may be compared to a firecracker next to a stick of dynamite in that which is an experience of receiving the Word. But be christed or baptized, in truth, in fullness as Jesus, is comparable to your nuclear device exploding throughout the creation of the mind-body-spiritual system as one unified unit. Whereas the firecracker awakens the physical to a degree, the dynamite moves the mind and the will. It cannot be impressed upon an individual or a group what Jesus experienced either coming in, going out, or even to that which is the awakening. For there is a three-stage awareness to the awakening – the birth of Jesus, the temptations in the wilderness, and the leaving of the body.
Meaning of the sign of the dove as a symbol of the Holy Spirit and the crowning of the Messiah
Matthew 3:13-17
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbad him, saying, “I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?” And Jesus answering said unto him, “Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.” Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
S For each and every individual must establish within themselves that they have the ability, the right, by God, to bring forth within themselves the Jesus that meets the Holy Spirit, that meets that which is God‘s love, God’s notice of purity and truth. For how many would turn aside, saying that they were inadequate, even as representation here is of John tying only the shoe, or being able only to tie the shoe of Jesus. For each must build, and this is what Jesus was giving forth with. All things must be fulfilled. There are no jumps, no short cuts. A step at a time and ye meet that which is the pleasure of God.
Q How can we tell where we are?
S You cannot.
Q Did anyone else see the Spirit of God descending like a dove, other than the Master?
Yes. Most of those who were present who were inclined to the spiritual nature – even inclined, not perfected in any manner of speaking, but inclined, saw something. Those who were more than inclined, that were true seekers, saw and understood what was happening here.
Q It was stated that the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus like a dove, and the Source said that those who were inclined to the spiritual nature, even inclined not perfected, saw something. For understanding, what did they see?
As to their ability to see, some saw light. Some saw (and understand this) music. Some saw that which was form. Some saw as that which is as reflection. Those who were enlightened to the greater degree, saw that which was the imprint of the bird, or the spiritual imprint, see? [10-46, 5-13-78]
Q What was the meaning of the dove that the Gospels record lit on Jesus at the time of His baptism?
S This was as close as an identification could be written. For dove it was not, but the Word, even as the Word had dwelled within God, being manifested, being shown forth. lt actually was that which was light, which was music, which was harmony, which was that of the cosmic, or the great musician, see? In symbols, in symblomatic language, this was as that which is the great peace, for the bird, the dove, symbolizes peace, that which was sent out by Noah to return, that which is the inoffensive, harms not, attacks not, defends not; the dove, the spirit. This… is that which is the light, the crowning of the Messiah or the Christ.
Q Did the Master realize who He was and His mission before this minute, or was it an immediate Christing at that point?
S He entered as the Christ, and from prenatal times knew. Even the body, not inhibited or inhabited at that time by the spirit, knew who the possessor would be. It was as that, though, that symbolized the Messiahood, the opening of the Way. He could not do what He did until that was given, even though the studies were made, even though the awareness was there, even though the life was even almost as that which would be described as perfected, and perfect, it must have been through that which is as given, the dove, that He could then perform, and be that which He is, and was; that He would be about His Father’s business, His mission, for was not it after that that the miracles, – – or that which is called the miracles, occurred? Baptism by whatever acts represents the cleansing of self by the Holy Spirit.

Q Why did Jesus go through the symbolic- ritual of water baptism? How does it pertain to us? (107)
S It pertains to that which must come into each life, whether it is by the hands, by the acts of others or through the acts of self, each perpetuating in self that which is the line within or has been from times of old, the cleansing of self by the Holy Spirit. It may be through the acts of the mind or through the acts of the body towards others. The symbol of the water is that of the living life, the symbol of God washing away the sins. It is for self, however, to carry it within and into the actions of self. This is the true baptism rather than that which is symbolic from without.

Baptism by the Holy Spirit will allow each of us to benefit from His Christing in that which is now the door or grace.
Luke 12:50
But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I straightened till it be accomplished!
S Here the Master of Love and Light was speaking, not of His baptism in the river, but the baptism that He must receive of the Christing, you see. And each and every individual then will receive that which is the benefit of his Christing in that which is now the door or grace as offered by God the Father, God the Mother, the Holy Spirit, and the Christ.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit
For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
Q Please explain more about the baptism of the Holy Spirit as mentioned in Acts 1:5.
S The baptism of the Holy Spirit, as given in Acts, is simply the awakening of the soul to the force of the mind power, allowing it to react and grow to the I AM that lies within. Make no mistake: the mind has an effect upon the upon the soul for it feeds the soul. The mind does not activate or influence the I AM. The I AM is the God Force that is the spiritual force or the spirit within the entity. It is known to you, in its active phase, as the Christ Force. The baptism here represents a triune or that which is the triad of mind–cleansed and focused then upon the spiritual being, awakening in the soul its destiny, which then is achieved through the I AM within the body force. The I AM, the soul, and the mind are as individual points or entities within the entity or the individual, as each of you are individuals here.
Q What role does faith play in that?
S Faith is that which opens the way. Fate is that which you must achieve because you are a child of God. They become one and the same, faith and fate.
This is the baptism of our being and the true awakening of the soul force, when the Holy Spirit destroys the negative that we have created in the mental.
Revelation 19:14-16
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
S The time of rejoicing will be at hand, for the King of kings and Lord of lords is that which is the awakened spirit, that which is the one that meets at that time the Holy Spirit to destroy the negative that you have created in the mental conditions of yourselves. It is the baptism of your being and the true awakening of your soul force. It is the crossing of the river Jordan. It is the opening of the gates of the temple. It is the casting aside of that old devil, the intellect misused. It is the destruction and the burning of the ego, for it is a cleansing of your world.
This is baptism with tongues of fire which represents the actual awakening and calling in of the Holy Spirit, a baptism truly of God.
Acts 1:1-5
The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, Until the day in which He was taken up, after that He through the Holy Ghost had given commandments unto the apostles whom He had chosen: To whom also He showed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, sayeth he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
S Acts of the spirit, acts of the individual. All acts are of the mind. All acts that are spiritual are of the mind and the spirit. There are acts of the mind and the spirit and the physical. There are acts of the mind and the spirit. There are acts of the mind and the physical. There are acts of the mind, the physical and the spiritual that lead to acts totally of the spirit. In the opening or that which is the writing of the books, as given here, to Theophilus (Theophilus here being that which is the divine light or that which is the coming together of the spiritual forces within an individual or a group or a world) you have a multiple or a multiplicity of action here. First and foremost these or this that you have just gone over actually occurred, was a physical, mental, and spiritual thing for a group, for the individuals there. It was that which gave faith and understanding, impetus to that which was the spiritual thrust of the mind and meaning to the physical destiny of the individuals. It also is that which has the spiritual-mental message that God in His infinite mercy has given to this earth and to its peoples a standard to rally about, a standard to follow, and a standard that can be understood in the overcoming of the world and of all those negative influences or happenings of the world. Also, it is that which happens within the individual body, mind, and spirit when, in truth, the Christ returns to the individual in a manner that the individual can understand, no longer sleeping. For the Christ that is within you has been sleeping or in that state of arrest. Even as Jesus the Christ was the pattern after the crucifixion where the body, the mind and the spirit were separated into that state which you would call death or sleep.
Therefore, the awakened Christ within comes forth to do its miracles – here some, there some. It is that which overcomes first the body physical, the body mental and unwraps then the spiritual which in itself awakens the truth in the soul that the soul may once again be baptized, not with just the loving waters that wash away the physical-mental damages, but with tongues of fire which, here, represents that which is the actual awakening and calling in of the Holy Spirit, that the baptism then may be truly of God and not only of that which are the forces that you have in command within you in the spiritual sense.
They were told that the Holy Spirit would come upon them and cleanse them, and they could overcome this plane.
Acts 1:6-8
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him saying, Lord wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto the uttermost part of the earth.
S Those children present, not totally in the understanding of what was happening to them (even as you yourselves in reality do not yet understand the spiritual meaning for you have not overcome the physical-mental-material world or selves), saw then the reinstatement of the power of Israel, Israel even beyond that which is as a strength or an overcoming of those physical forces such as Rome which held control or sway within the country but that which they saw as the perfect state (or God state) within the earth governed under God’s laws where all Jews were accepted as souls upon this earth.
They had this understanding whereas Jesus gently guided them towards the spiritual meaning, the spiritual understanding, that the Holy Spirit would come upon them to move their souls and in turn cleanse the minds, the bodies, that the overcoming of this plane could be had or could be, in their words, at hand.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit, becoming one in purpose, and we discover the spiritual importance that we become truly children and servants of God.
Acts 2:1-4
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
S You have a happening here that is a happening that must occur within each individual that finds the spiritual dedication or the time when they become as that which is a true servant of and child of God. Pentecost, or the fifth day, is indeed the feast of the harvest. Here, the harvest of the spiritual nature or that which comes together after that time of prayer and meditation brings fruits to be plucked, to be harvested. As in each individual there comes that time which is fruitation in the dedicated search; be it ever long and humbling, the time of fulfillment will come to bear. For those hours of prayer and meditation build to that point when an individual is gathered in all that the individual has searched to be (meaning the mind, the body, and the spirit become as one). And in that time there comes that which is the fire or the cleansing or that which is the baptism by the Holy Spirit which anoints the body, the mind, and the spirit, that the soul may become as one with purpose even as they at that time became one in purpose and discovered in themselves that which is the spiritual significance, the spiritual importance, for they became truly children and servants of God at that time
The individuals exposed to the Holy Spirit, the culmination of prayer and meditation for a long time, became aware of the holy purpose and of God.
Acts 2: 5-13
And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, “Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.” And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, “What meaneth this? Others mocking said, “These men are full of new wine.”
S The spiritual meaning is that new voices, new languages, new understandings come into the lives of the individuals so exposed to the Holy Spirit. As given, this is a culmination of prayer and meditation for a long, long time. It is the understanding of the purpose. It is the awakening that all members of the body, all that is the body, becomes aware of the holy purpose and of God. As to those people at that time, for those who were spiritually inclined, those who believed in their various religions, their various thoughts and philosophies, as schooled and as unschooled -but in faith -they heard the multitude of tongues and understood. For those who were false believers, for those who did not follow any religious dictates or philosophies, who did not believe but believed only in self or the material world, they heard nothing but babble of a rabble, you see.
The intellect only comes into its own when baptized by the Holy Spirit
Mark 8:31-32
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
S Here you have that within self that will be as the storms, the wars within yourself. For nothing is won peacefully, no, not even peace itself. You cannot overcome your mind, your will, your past, your present, until you have won your intellect. And then this great force, driven by the spiritual motives, will itself raise the Christ Force. For however you would measure intellect, it is naught until it has received, yes, been baptized by that which is the Holy Spirit. And you, too may be as a tool of a loving, living God.
Anointing by the Holy Spirit occurs as we awaken within to the Christ.
Mark 9:49-50
For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another.
S The preservation of the force, even as salt, or that which is necessary for life within this plane as represented in salt, as that which is the bosom of the sea which you must go upon, is salt. It is the Christ force you must have -the love, the yearning, the urging, the awakening, the understanding, and the action in mind and thought that is of the Christ rather than that of the human, the material, the animal, what have you. The operation of all life, regardless of what, is through the Christ force. The redemption of man is when the awakening within yourself is to the Christ, that the Holy Spirit anoints you, raises you up, and gives you access to the Door, the Light, the Way, the Truth. We are ready for more questions.
We shall receive the Word when quickened from without by the Holy Spirit and quickened from within by the Christ.
Mark 10:1
And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Judaea by the farther side of Jordan: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.
S When that which is mankind, or the people, or the land, receives that which is the coming, or the quickening, or the Christ, then the Christ will teach, will show the way. But even as you are the people, the land, the nation in yourself, each and every one, then you, too, must receive the teaching of the Christ, that which comes from within, quickened by the Holy Spirit from without, that you, too, may be given the Word. Will you receive or will you reject? This is for the individual, even as He came for each and every individual.
