This document examines the interconnections between faith, the fruits of the spirit, grace, and embracing the Holy Spirit. It delves into how these elements interact in a spiritual context, providing insights into their roles in personal spiritual growth and development. The text integrates both metaphysical perspectives and biblical references to deepen the understanding of these concepts.
How do we know guidance is truly from the Holy Spirit? A prayer is given to help with finding their/our mission.
Luke 6:14-16
Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.
Q Does the conscious mind rationalize itself into thinking the Holy Spirit is giving guidance when it really is not? How can we tell the difference?
S You will know them by their fruits. If that which you do is in line with that which is given by Jesus the Christ as a measure, then you will know. If hurt comes from them (now we are talking more of physical or spiritual hurt than mental hurt, for to find the spiritual path, often there must be mental hurt and sometimes even the physical hurt), to someone in the spiritual quest, then you will know. You will feel it within yourself if you are honest with yourself. Yes, the mind rationalizes and is opinionated and has preconceived ideas. Yes, you are correct here.
Q Well, where do we draw the line between rationalizing every act as to its correctness spiritually and perhaps becoming indifferent on the other hand?
S Where you feel you are being led into those paths that are not of your own choosing or even forced into those decisions which you feel are not for your best, in the spiritual sense; if you feel that you are closing yourself off from that which is a spiritual thing, then put it aside. Stop it then. And if it is a correct urge, you will follow it. If it is an incorrect urge, you can cast it aside. Remember this, it is the following, the trying, that you succeed and gain. The timid will not succeed. It is the bold that succeed. It is the one that puts the spiritual force forward, the mental force forward, the physical force forward. Many times it is more comfortable and seemingly more Christian to stay put than to move out and grow and be one with that which is your mission. If the entity would find a value besides Jesus the Christ as the pattern, take to your dreams, take to your meditation that which you would ask, in this manner:
Dear Father-Mother God, give to me now that which is the knowledge of my mission in this life, in this turn within the physical plane. Help me Lord, through that which is the Christ, to find that which is my mission. For I know my mission involves Thee. [10-130]
How does one know it is the Spirit? By the fruits and spontaneously without thought of self.
Not just by the feeling but, as always given, by the fruits. In the examination of that which is done, in action, in thought, in deed, if self is involved, then it is not of the highest order. It, therefore, must come spontaneously without thought of self, but only of others. For until one becomes one with the brother in need, even as He came to die for those who were sinners, or that which was termed as the bad, much easier would it have been to sacrifice self for the good; so self must become so ingrained with thy neighbor, thy brother, as to become one even in his sorrows, even with his travail, even with that which holds the physical, the mental man to this earth, and in so doing overcome his burden for him, even as the Christ overcomes your burdens.
How do we teach the fruits of the spirit and what about free choice?
Ram Reading 10-022, 4-18-76
Q How and with what teaching methods should the fruits of the spirit be taught?
S By letting it pour forth in acts rather than material things; acts of love, patience, understanding, those things which you have been told over and over. This is the teaching. Then make it so obvious that ye believe and act in belief that it is something that pours from within rather than something that is trained of the mind, that others will ask or seek to know. It will raise from within others the desire from the soul level rather than from the mind level. For ye all emanate that which are the forces, that which is the radiance of God Himself. For in each and every individual is that which is the Christ, the perfect idea, the perfect ideal that God has of thee. The idea being the ideal – what you are before you have built about selves the densities that holds back the light. But as ye act, as you become, so ye shed the densities that pour forth the light even as He, the Prince of Love, that other souls may react. For remember it is given, He chose – not they chose Him. He lighted their souls and they became that which is as a chalice that others may drink from and be lighted.
Q Please discuss the relationship between the fruits of the spirit and free choice.
S Free choice is that which leads to the fruits of the spirit, if you choose in that which is the understanding of the mind of the way that the Christ would have thee choose. For each and every individual even at their different levels of development has the choice of bringing to self, and from self, that which is the Christ force. The Christ force is that which is the fruits of the spirit, bringing forth the ideal, the idea of God, that others may react, may be what they truly are. But ye have the selection. Which way would ye go? This is the selection. Would you be as that which is the feet, that becomes that which touches the material? Or would ye be at the other end, the spiritual? This is the selection. This is free will. Ye are not on a string as a yo-yo. You have the selection where you go.
When we have trust, when we have faith, when we have found the Christ, that which is the Holy Spirit speaks forth.
Luke 12:11-12
And when they bring you into the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say: For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.
S When you become that which is a spokesman for the spiritual, when you become integrated with that which is the spiritual, when you have trust, when you have faith, when you have found the Christ, then in all times, even as in the case of Jesus the Master, that which is the Holy Spirit speaks forth. The Christ is arisen within self; the Holy Spirit is that which then operates through yourself. And the truth of your being, your true nature, your true personality speaks forth – not that which is the phantom, the shell, the illusion, but rather the truth, reality, love.
Faith in God and Love awakens to the spirit or the Holy Spirit, and we acknowledge that the spirit in all things is perfect. To err is to take credit for forces that come through the mind rather than giving credit to God working through the spiritual.
John 11:20-31
Then Martha, as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary sat still in the house. Then said Martha unto Jesus. “Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.” Jesus saith unto her, “Thy brother shall rise again.” Martha saith unto him, “I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.” Jesus said unto her,” I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” She saith unto him, “Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.” And when she had so said, she went her way, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, “The Master is come, and calleth for thee.” As soon as she heard that, she arose quickly, and came unto him. Now Jesus was not yet come into the town but was in that place where Martha met him. The Jews then which were with her in the house, and comforted her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up hastily and went out, followed her, saying, “She goeth unto the grave to weep there.”
S We find here that as Martha which is the understanding of the love in the physical (and this is not only of the physical body but of the physical world, the trees, the grass, the water, what have you) awakens to that which is the spirit, or that which is the Christ, or the Holy Spirit, then professes and understands the meaning of faith which then brings forth, you see, the spiritual love and its response, giving that acknowledgement to the spirit that all things may be made perfect, or rendered perfect through that which is the acknowledgement and use of the spiritual or the spirit factor within that which is the realm of creation. That is to say, the force of God being used to its utmost rather than the substitute of that which is of the mind, untrained, not through faith in God, but faith in itself. Here lies so many who err. For to err is to use that which are the forces that come through the mind, whether they be the psychic forces or the mind power forces in the guise of that which is the spirit, or the spiritual – one being of man, the other of God. So many who believe in themselves because of this, show by their actions, the selfishness. Those who would venerate themselves, or have others venerate them or their works, are those who use these forces incorrectly. But those that use that which is the force of God, ask only that God be recognized, even as He the Master of Love and Life in light and truth gave, “It is the Father within that does the work.”
The will and faith and the Holy Spirit in action.
Revelation 2:18-19
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;” I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.”
S You have, then, the reminding of the purpose of the entry that you are established in, at any time, any place, that the mind force is that of – directed by the will. And the will is that which establishes both the mind force and the action into that which is then the fine brass which becomes the bedrock for that which is the search. It is the will, then, that lies dormant so often in an individual or is overpowering to an individual and becomes a selfish thing. It must be tamed or established or given a rebirth so that it may attain to that which is its correct usage or place, that it may then be that which brings together those forces that an individual must use to be as that which is on the path to that which is the resurrection or the revelation.
Q Does the will become subject to the spirit when we have faith?
S The will becomes the tool of both the Christ within, the Christ without, or the Holy Spirit in action. The will becomes that which is the tool of the mind. It is that which advances the soul force or the soul of an entity. [10-131]
Warning to beware of the anxiety, guilt, anger that can become bonds that hold us to those who are bound within the earth. This can be overcome by the acts of love and faith and patience and gentleness.
Genesis 26:32-35
And it came to pass the same day that Isaac’s servants came, and told him concerning the well which they had digged, and said unto him, “We have found water.” And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beersheba unto this day. And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite: which were a grief of mind unto Isaac and to Rebekah.
S Out of the that which is a solid force or the submission to God (which is represented here by Hittites) you have the consequential forces or the releasing of that which becomes the difficult to handle or that which is the prodding and the fighting within the spirit, within the mind, within the nature – the spirit being, in this case, the animal spirit of mankind rather than that which is the Holy Spirit or the spiritual being of God. You have that which awakens griefs, tragedies, that only may be overcome in the acts of love and faith and patience and gentleness. For it is at this time that there is that which is anxiety and guilt and anger towards others and self which must be cast aside lest they become bonds that hold the individual to others that are bound within this earth that will make the overcoming the more difficult, the more heinous.
We find faith and love when the Holy Spirit touches us so we may be removed from the trial and tribulation of the mental inquisition; it is God, the Holy Spirit, the Christ that counts.
Acts 5:21-24
And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught. But the high priest came, and they that were with him, and called the council together, and all the senate of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought. But when the officers came, and found them not in the prison, they returned, and told, Saying, The prison truly found we shut with all safety, and the keepers standing without before the doors: but when we had opened, we found no man within. Now when the high priest and the captain of the temple and the chief priests heard these things, they doubted of them whereunto this would grow.
S You may be removed from that which is the trial and tribulation of the mental inquisition by that which is faith and love, by the direct touch of the angelic host, by the raising within self of the Christ force, by that which is the Holy Spirit touching yourself. It is unbelievable to those without; it is unbelievable to those who have no faith; it is unbelievable to those who cannot conceive of life beyond this plane as a greater and more wonderful thing, or even as life beyond this plane. Therefore, the walls, the locks, the guards are naught but that which are placed before you by the restrictions of your own making, by your own being, by your imaging. It is God that counts. It is the Holy Spirit that counts. It is the Christ that counts. And you may count, too, when you find this within yourself.
How does this awakening in self happen? Through faith and the one who is filled with the faith.
The faith is that which is the truth that sets ye free. Therefore, must come the awakening in self of the true faith, the lack of desire of any kind, the opening of self that the spirit may come through. We see in those in the group, here a bit, there a bit, a crack appears in the facade of the illusionary that is the face that you see yourself, and others see you; and those rays of light, of love, that pour forth at times, a sparkle here, a sparkle there, is that which lies within the spirit. In using this spirit, the Holy Spirit, have trust. For only in faith, only in trust, can it be made to serve as the light that will lead thy brother, thy sister, from the darkness of sin, or that which is the darkest – self.
The Christ comes from within to meet the Holy Spirit without, by listening to the still small voice.
Mark 13:21-22
And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
S Trust in that which is the still small voice within yourself, yourselves, that you may know the Way and the Truth. For if you are prepared, if you have the faith, you will know the presence of the Christ. For the Christ comes from within to meet that which is the Holy Spirit without, opening the way for He that is to come, Jesus the Christ, returned as he left, in glory.
Baptism of the Holy Spirit and faith
Q Please explain more about the baptism of the Holy Spirit as mentioned in Acts 1:5.
S The baptism of the Holy Spirit, as given in Acts, is simply the awakening of the soul to the force of the mind power, allowing it to react and grow to the I AM that lies within. Make no mistake: the mind has effect upon the upon the soul for it feeds the soul. The mind does not activate or influence the I AM. The I AM is the God Force that is the spiritual force or the spirit within the entity. It is known to you, in its active phase, as the Christ Force. The baptism here represents a triune or that which is the triad of mind–cleansed and focused then upon the spiritual being, awakening in the soul its destiny, which then is achieved through the I AM within the body force. The I AM, the soul, and the mind are as individual points or entities within the entity or the individual, as each of you are individuals here.
Q What role does faith play in that?
S Faith is that which opens the way. Fate is that which you must achieve because you are a child of God. They become one and the same, faith and fate.
The Holy Spirit will show us the way
Luke 6:47-48
Whosoever cometh to me, and hearth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
S The rock is faith, faith, faith. Let the fruit tell you how you have built, what you are building. Proceed in faith and know in faith that the Master of Life, yes, the Holy Spirit Itself, will honor your way, will show you the right, will give you the just fruit. Therefore, create, create the path. Create the way by calling upon Love, that Love may be the light, that Love may be the path.
As we find faith, we find the way, and the way opens to that which is the Holy Spirit.
Mark 28-30
Then Peter began to say unto him, Lo, we have left all, and have followed thee
S Faith as Peter, faith that is the rock that you must build upon, saying the truth: we have cast all things aside for the love of God, for the Christ. For this is faith.
And Jesus answered and said, “Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.”
S When you find faith, you will find the way. And the way opens to that which is the Truth, the Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Lord thy God, in perfection. This is a reward beyond man’s understanding, where here, Jesus tried to put it in words that they might find some symbolic meaning, or some even intellectual imaging, a glimpse – though tiny – of that which is heaven.
The Action of the Holy Spirit is ours upon the calling, we must call from the heart and the soul.
Revelation 22:21
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
S This is the greater message: the grace of Jesus the Christ, the grace of God, the action of the Holy Spirit, is yours upon the calling. Then call from that which is the heart, that which is the soul, for the balm, for the message, for the love.
Connection between grace and receiving of the Holy Spirit
Mark 4:11-12
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
Q Is it right to summarize the understanding of grace by stating: this is what Jesus gave us with the Holy Spirit that we didn’t have before? Is this basically what grace is?
S This is the breaking of the wheel of karma by the knowledge of love – true love – through grace, given to you and to all, through that which is the life, the teaching, and the sacrifice of the Bread of Life and the Blood of Life, Jesus the man, who became christed, that ye, too, may live and find life more abundant.
Q Is there a level that is higher than grace?
S For your understanding, no; but for your edification, yes.
Q Could you explain that a little more, please?
S You cannot understand even grace. How can you understand that which is beyond grace? So the answer is yes and no; no and yes.
Q How does the bread come back on the water?
S This is that, that your actions at one level bring you back (as is taught by many churches) good things of life. But the true meaning and the higher meaning is: your thoughts, your actions bring back the Christ to you, or rather, even more specifically, bring the Holy Spirit, or that which works as God without, to meet that which is raised in self or released – the Christ Force – which then is the meeting of God’s elements that do the work within and without.
Through grace we will know the love that is the Holy Spirit
James 2:13
For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
S In the end you are the judge of yourself, and Christ is the judge of your spirit. And mercy comes from God in the form of the Christ and the Christ’s mercy is grace. And grace will alleviate that which is the earthbound spirit that you are, which, in the end, frees you and gives you that which is your choice, the activity that is God, the force that is the Creator, the love that is the Holy Spirit, and you are then in the realm that you were created to be.
