Pentecost and Spiritual Awakening

Prayer: Channel

Beloved Lord, as children and servants we come before You, seeking Thy love, guidance, help, mercy and asking that this guidance, help, and mercy be extended to all those that would seek to see and know Thy face.  We ask, Father, that Thy wisdom show through tonight for us and for others in this reading that we seek.  And then through the name and power of Jesus the Christ we ask for Your love and Your grace.

It is altogether fitting and proper that you take your places before that which is the throne of God, seeking His mercy and His justice through that which is given to you in this form at this time.  You have come this night to discuss, to listen, to absorb (each in their own way and manner) that which you consider the Acts or that which is as the dedication of the Pentecost or the celebration of the feast of Pentecost, the fifth day.  It is right, then, that you seek and ask those questions pertinent to the spiritual progress and enfoldment of that which is the path that the enfolding arms of God will encompass you, that the merciful hands of God will lift you, that the enlightening spirit of God will fulfill your destiny and that you will see the light, hear the music, and feel the joy.  For the Comforter is nigh, the path is wide, the gate is opened, and you must seek, then, to establish within yourself the motivation and the faith that is necessary to make the transformation from this plane to the next in your search for the spiritual treasures for selves and for others.  We are here.  We have this group and we are ready for this reading that is sought after.

We have the group.  We have the inquiring minds of the group. We have that which is the destiny of this group. We have the path of this group.  We have the forces of this group, and we will give this reading.  We are now ready for questions.

ACTS 2:1-4:

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.  And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

S You have a happening here that is a happening that must occur within each individual that finds the spiritual dedication or the time when they become as that which is a true servant of and child of God.  Pentecost, or the fifth day, is indeed the feast of the harvest.  Here, the harvest of the spiritual nature or that which comes together after that time of prayer and meditation brings fruits to be plucked, to be harvested. As in each individual there comes that time which is fruitation in the dedicated search; be it ever long and humbling, the time of fulfillment will come to bear. For those hours of prayer and meditation build to that point when an individual is gathered in all that the individual has searched to be (meaning the mind, the body, and the spirit become as one). And in that time there comes that which is the fire or the cleansing or that which is the baptism by the Holy Spirit which anoints the body, the mind, and the spirit, that the soul may become as one with purpose even as they at that time became one in purpose and discovered in themselves that which is the spiritual significance, the spiritual importance, for they became truly children and servants of God at that time.

Q We have been told that Pentecost was the fiftieth day.

S This is true, but it is the celebration of the fifth day, you see, as the feast or that which is the dedication of the spirit of harvest.  True, it came as on the fiftieth day but is celebrated even as the Hebrews celebrate the fifth day after that which is their great feast of the Passover.

Q Is the unity of purpose part of the destiny of this group?

S It is the destiny of all that have come into this world seeking to see, to find the path, to understand, to become full of that which is wisdom and enlightenment.  For this group, yes, it is true; for the individuals, yes, it is true; for mankind, yes, it is true.

ACTS 2:5-13

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, “Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?  And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.”  And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, “What meaneth this?”  Others mocking said, “These men are full of new wine.”

S  The spiritual meaning is that new voices, new languages, new understandings come into the lives of the individuals so exposed to the Holy Spirit.  As given, this is a culmination of prayer and meditation for a long, long time.  It is the understanding of the purpose.  It is the awakening that all members of the body, all that is the body, becomes aware of the holy purpose and of God.  As to those people at that time, for those who were spiritually inclined, those who believed in their various religions, their various thoughts and philosophies, as schooled and as unschooled -but in faith -they heard the multitude of tongues and understood.  For those who were false believers, for those who did not follow any religious dictates or philosophies, who did not believe but believed only in self or the material world, they heard nothing but babble of a rabble, you see.

 ACTS 2:14-21:

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, “Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;  ‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:  And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:  And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. ‘ “

S In truth, the exuberance, the joy, the wonder of the moment could have been interpreted by many as those who have imbibed in that which is the physical wine but, in truth, this was likened to new wine. For it was a different wine, a wine of the spirit that filled, that led, that exhorted the bodies, the minds and the spirits of the individuals to act in a different and glorious manner.  As to those prophecies as spoken of: within the orbit of your own selves, each as an individual, you have those things which have from time immemorial affected you.  These are your suns and your moons that in the time of spiritual success, spiritual achievement, become tossed aside, destroyed, that in the day of the Lord, in this spiritual success and achievement, you may call upon the Lord and have success in doing the same. The force of God, the force of love is rampant within the individuals that have achieved to this successful position, this point of spirit.

Q In reference to the last days, does this refer to the last days of the old covenant that Joel is prophesying the end of the time before Jesus and the beginning of Jesus?

S  This is correct.  It is also a new covenant within the individual, breaking the covenant that self has had with the material world.

Q Were there tongues of fire, fire as we know fire to be?

S This was spiritual fire but was evident to those who had a spiritual bent or leaning as flickering lights or, to some who could see the greater, the aura of each individual or as a group

ACTS 2:22-28:

“Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.  For David speaketh concerning him, ‘I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:  Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:  Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.  Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. ‘ “

S  Even as you now know, David knew his destiny.  David knew what he would become and this was his strength from the Lord.  This was what he had attained in his search in the overcoming of his own personality, the defects of his past, the influences of mankind.  And thus it is for selves to know that you have great destinies that are similar as to David’s, that you cannot cast aside, turn away from the truth – the truth of God, the truth of your being, and the truth that is given you. For in these lessons, in this primer, you are to find the faith and the basic understanding even as David, through his dreams, through his meditation and through his conversation with the Lord, learned who and what he was, is and will always be.

Q David said here that he would not leave our Lord’s soul in hell.  Did Jesus go to hell and preach to the souls in hell during the three days between His death and His resurrection?

S  First, David was referring to the soul of himself to become Jesus the Christ, would not remain in David or within this plane. As to that which you ask, the translation is incorrect here. The first, as given, Sheol or the place of waiting, the place of grayness, which is not that of joy or light, but only of awareness of the light and of this plane.  Jesus in that time of waiting between the crucifixion and the final transformation appeared many places in this vale (which you might call hell) and preached, walked and talked (if you can understand that term) in those borderland areas, and ascended through the higher planes to proclaim the glory of God, to spread the joy and to be about his Father’s business.

Q How did the early church fathers develop this concept of purgatory?

S  It was an adaptation of Sheol, of Hades, of Greek mythology, of Eastern concepts of a waiting place.  It was adapted and adopted to fulfill the policeman attitude and the attitude of judgment in this plane.  Hence, it was a tool to frighten, to punish, to keep in line those that might stray as seen by those early church fathers.

Q Then Cayce’s use of the word borderland is pretty accurate?

S This is correct.

Q This reference to the sun and the moon – I think you said we would be putting aside – does this refer to astrology?

S  No.  These are all those influences by day and by night that occur in the individual’s tilting with this world, and that which are the fundamental physical and mental strains and forces and guidelines that have been acquired and accrued by each soul, each entity,   in the countless comings and goings in this plane.

ACTS 2:29-36:

“Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;  He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, Until I make thy foes thy footstool. Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.”

S  This is simply saying: in the progress that you make, even when you become aware, even as David, you must realize that the incorruptible and uncorruptible is the Jesus or the Christ within each and every individual, that even in the search you many times will crucify thy Lord by your actions, by your manners, by your thoughts, your deeds.  And yet, even as Jesus overcame, so you will overcome that which is the insurmountable as seen so often by the individuals.  In short, your spiritual progress will not be stopped nor contained regardless of that which seem to be the great odds, the great forces against it.  For those who have faith, those who have dedication, even though at times they falter, even at times when they feel weak, even at times when they feel that they are insignificant and unworthy, have made progress, will make progress and will, and will achieve to that which is the pinnacle.  Even as Jesus broke the ground for selves, so you shall break the ground for those who will follow.

ACTS 2:37-40:

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do? ” Then Peter said unto them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, “Save yourselves from this untoward generation.”

S This is a guideline for selves.  For though you feel that you are not worthy, you have been picked to do the job that you have assumed within this life, to succeed in those areas that you have assumed to succeed in.  For all mankind in their hearts possess that which is the instinct to become the spiritual being again.  There are those who cloud, there are those who protest, there are those who build a wall around this knowledge, this drive, this fulfilling idea, and yet, in all that have been given souls there is this desire that is innate from the time of the holy conception of individuals by God.

ACTS 2:41:

Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

S  When you receive the baptism of the spirit, then those lives come with you.  In essence there are thousands of lives that now proclaim the Christ, proclaim God, proclaim the light and the way.  For you in truth, in saving self, save a multitude before you even touch others.

Q Are you speaking of our past lives?

S This is correct.

ACTS 2:42:

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

S  This is dedication, the fellowship with God – not just the fellowship with others, but the fellowship with God, the breaking of bread, the prayers, all dedicated through Jesus the Christ and the sacrifice of same.  Can you do less?

ACTS 2:43:

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

S  In these times that you face, face them in faith and wonders and signs will come to you and through you.  Have faith, for it is true.

Q Then what is fear?

S  The fear of having to become spiritual; the fear of putting aside the personality that you envision yourself to be; the fear of the physical and the casting aside of the physical; the fear that this persona, this mind that you have developed and see as yourself, will not be the same, that you will not be what you think you are now.  This is the fear of the unknown or the fear of discovering the truth.

ACTS 2:44-45:

And all that believed were together and had all things common; And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

S  This is sharing, but within yourself, parting with those physical, those material things, for the good of the spiritual being.  For putting aside those drives in the physical nature that encumber self and enlightening, then, the soul at that time with the goodness of giving. Giving up for what?  For God.

Q  A concept of all things in common which has been interpreted as communism is false?

S  It is false.  The sharing or the ‘common’ here are those things that are common to people that must be put aside.  There are  those things that are common goals that are in success, for if you give to those who have not earned and are not about the spiritual path or understanding, you have detoured them from their path.  For this is a matter that must go to prayer, to meditation.  So often the giving or the holding in common is an ego or mental thing or becomes a crutch for those who are weak.  For the true giving is following the laws, the dictates of God, and the profound knowledge that God is the provider, that God is the force of love, that God is that which will overcome.  For those who truly believe, in truth, totally, as given to you before, God will provide and the illusion is no more. For those who are on the path, God will provide as is necessary and often through others.  And yet, and yet, the goals must be true, total faith and God will provide as is best.

ACTS 2:46-47:

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

S  The individual that comes to that time of true believing celebrates throughout the body, through the mind, through the nervous system, through all the organs of the body, through all the tissues of the body, through the cells, and proclaims God. Even the atoms of the body proclaim God and become the glorious song, the hymn to the Lord, the great and wonderful incense that rises before God and cleans and opens and brings joy, wisdom and love.

And we give that which is blessing of God, blessing of the Holy Spirit, and blessing of Jesus the Christ that it may be upon you even as tongues of fire descended upon those at the Pentecost.  May God’s love touch your souls, may God’s light light your way and may God’s life fill you with true life that you may be as a jewel in the crown of the Saviour.  We are through with this reading at this time.
