The document is a comprehensive analysis and interpretation of Matthew 15 from the Bible. It explores internal purity and various spiritual and metaphysical themes, focusing on the teachings and events in this chapter. Key topics include the nature of spiritual understanding, the importance of internal purity over external rituals, and the deeper meanings behind Jesus’ interactions and parables.
Matthew 15:1-2
Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
S Here ye have that which is a misunderstanding with even the body of self, that you may search, that ye may pray, that ye may meditate, that ye may confess God regardless of what you do, or when you do it. For there‘s an attitude, even in the mental or even with that which is the intellectual self, that requires dogma, that requires this to be done, or that to be met. This is, then, the overcoming within self of that which are those objects or formats set up by the ego self, by the intellectual self, by the mental self, which restricts you from finding that which is the path to God.
Q Some of the disciples, we understand were Essenes. Didn’t they make a practice of washing before eating?
S Yes. However, you see, there was then the understanding being put forth by that which is Jesus the Christ, that ritual for ritual‘s sake is to be put aside. For if ye do it for others, then ritual has its place. But to attain by ritual, for so oft even those who are spiritually inclined are led subtly astray by this or that, by those forces from without, or even latent forces within that would lead themselves away. Therefore, they had to learn that they, too, did not possess that which was the key to heaven or understanding. No man does. It must be, then, through the opening of self to the Christ, that ye find that which is the proper key, and there is no ritual, no dogma.
Q What was this ritual based on of washing the hands in those days?
S This was representative of two things: first, the need to be clean. For that which was the mind recognized the physical necessity. It was also that which is the spiritual denying of the earth or the earth forces. For if ye have washed yourself of them, there is no need to be pure in the earth sense, that is to say, where disease or poisons exist, for they no longer exist. Therefore, it’s step from one to another. But it was as ritual and often those, even Essenes who understood, lost its meaning. For mind will stray. Mind of man is occupied by many things, ever subtly here and there, even as each and every individual here is led astray by themselves at times, even in those times they would pray or meditate. It even was for them, too, these things.
Matthew 15:3–6
But he answered and said unto them, “Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. But ye say, “Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus, have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.
S Here is to say: there is a muzzling of the forces by that which you would have within yourself and without of self, either in the physical-mental man or the mental-spiritual man, by setting up that which are process or processes that would be as that which must be followed. For ye would stand between yourself and God. It is good to follow patterns, to establish within self, thought patterns, thought actions, mental patterns, mental actions, intellectual patterns, intellectual ways of doing things, even physical ways. But when they have reached that which is the azimuth, or the epitome, to be able to discern this and put it aside and be therefore guided totally by the spiritual nature, rather than by these other things. How often ye have seen within that which is the Christian community, and other communities, that which is bogged down within processes, even as kneeling, which was at first to show the humbling of that which was the mental, the intellectual, the ego, which then became merely that which was the bowing of the physical man -lost in process. This, then, is an example of the ritual that at first had meaning, then should have been put aside.
Q Do father and mother symbolize heaven and earth, spirit and matter?
S And God.
Q In the original commandment “Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee,” the primary reason was honor your Creator and the secondary reason was your earthly mother and father. Is that correct?
S That is correct. Also that which are the elements.
Q The elements referring to earth elements?
S Correct. Correct.
Matthew 15:7–9
Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
S To be true to the cleansing force, as spoken here, ye must be true to yourself. Ye cannot live one way and have a spiritual reality another way. Ye cannot have lip service here and not perform within self. For as ye live, so ye are. What ye say and do is a reflection of the truth of thy being. You cannot have God and act in another way. Even if ye would have God, therefore, ye must speak of God, live of God, and have the actions of same.
Q Are we to understand from this that a lot of the commandments that Moses gave the Jewish race were commandments of men and that he was not completely divinely inspired?
S It was given in a double meaning, you see. Divinely inspired -yes. But to give to man that which they intellectually, mentally, and physically were prepared for at that time. Even as those who were first spiritually inclined sacrificed humans, then animals, then that which were the fruit, the vegetables, and lastly that which was the wine, the bread. It is a progressive step forward. Here you have, then, Moses understanding that which are as the spiritual needs, necessities, and elevations (but having to transcribe and translate to those who did not) to lead them in a way. This, again, is that which we have given as dogma that reaches a certain point and then must be cast aside that there can be the spiritual attainment.
Q Is that what Jesus meant when He said, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another‘‘?
S That which is the total. When ye can love one another, even as ye love the truth of thine own being and know it to be so that they are thine own being, ye have attained.
Q Then these are crutches to be cast aside?
S Or steps to be taken, or retaken. For there are those who walk up and down them, and never reach that which is the platform above.
Matthew 15:10–11
And he called the multitude, and said unto them, “Hear, and understand: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”
S Here ye have that which ye say. Forever is the word, the power, the thought, ever that which is the apex of the human. Not so much that which is the physical. It is not what you eat or drink. lt is that which ye give to others. Not lip service, but truth – truth of thy being. This, then, is that which is to be understood. For when ye lash out at others, ye hurt that which is the spiritual nature of self and others, rather than that which is only the mental or physical. Therefore, put aside that which involves the physical the more, and concentrate upon that which is the mental, the intellectual, and the greatest of all, the spiritual. Therefore, also, it is not so much that which you would take into self that governs the body itself, but that which is the thought pattern that is established, or, here shown, in that which comes forth from the mouth.
Q Can this be interpreted to make all the effort on health foods, and so forth, negligible?
S It is as a step that brings yourself forward, but in the end is that which may be cast aside. For in the end, the total end, there is no need for that which is sustenance as you would have it. Even that which is given, the Jesus the Christ, returning again, will have no need of sustenance that ye would understand. For the God Force within, perfected, is that which sustains the body – physical, mental, and spiritual, in that which is the perfected body in the flesh.
Q We say, “mind is the builder”. If you eat certain foods and you don‘t feel they’ll hurt you, though they are said to be harmful, does it harm you?
S If ye are prepared. For how often have those who believed in such things, even those things taken from that which are as, or you would consider, the Bible, the sacred writings, that they may take within themselves the poisons, or be bitten by that which is the asp, or the snake, and have died from same. For they have not understood the spiritual necessity but went with that which were the intellectual and mental necessities or understandings.
Q While this is all ultimately true, still as a practical matter for most of humanity, these intermediate or lower steps are a definite requirement, are they not?
S They are basic to that which is the understanding, or that which is the perfection, or that which is finding the way. Yes. For ye are still, to the greater degree, locked within that which is the physical mental plane.
Q During the thousand years that the Master will be here upon the earth, will those who are here with Him grow to such an extent that they also may attain, maintaining the physical without food?
S Make it a point to be there to know!
Matthew 15:12-14
Then came his disciples, and said unto him, “Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, “Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch”.
S Here again is that warning. Here again is that which ye must take into self, cogitate upon, must understand, you see. Ever there have been false prophets, false Christs. Therefore, ye must be even as that which must judge, within self, the happenings within self, not from a physical standpoint, not from the mental standpoint, not from the intellectual standpoint, but from the spiritual standpoint. For there are those who would put aside the material, only to capture the mental and to repress the spiritual natures of others. Ye must, therefore, watch out for the Pharisees within self who cannot understand the spiritual nature, of your own being. Therefore, know yourself and turn to that which lies within, ever, to evaluate, not so much the judgment of the actions of others, or what they don‘t do or they have done or say, but that which is of valuing rather.
Matthew 15:15–20
Then answered Peter and said unto him, Declare unto us this parable. And Jesus said, “Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart, and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man.
S Ye have that, here, which was meant for the understanding, even as a steppingstone of those of the day and those to come. Even those of today that need this-that it is action(s) rather than the foods or those things, the rituals, that are the necessity. That the understanding of the steps to that which is loving thy brother as thyself is the importance.
Q We can interpret heart here as subconscious mind, can’t we?
S Correct.
Matthew 15:21-24
Then Jesus went thence and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.” But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, “Send her away; for she crieth after us.” But he answered and said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
S Here you have that representative force in the lower elements, or the lower two elements of selves, the creative force, or searching, or that which is the awakening again, or that which is the constructive force, as the Canaanite or Canaanites here. That because of its faith, its search, calls and recognizes that which is even as the Prince of Love, the Christ Force within self, even though this force has come in for those elements or that which is the understanding or the edification of the higher centers of the body more than that which are the lower elements, or even that which is the search, or the understanding. The daughter being, here, the thoughts, the constructive force that has gone errant or astray, that causes that which is the constructive force to realize that that which is astray, or the thoughts of same, are those forces of the lower element that have gone astray, too, are as the actions that are insane when there is the ability to find that which is the Christ.
Q Can we interpret Israel there as seeker?
S As the seeker, and Canaanite as that which are the forces or understanding, or the creative or constructive force, rather, within an individual.
Q Can we key this to the paragraph we had previously, “lest at any time they should be converted and I should heal them‘?
S To a degree, yes. However, this is the individual, rather, that has the ability to be saved, as you would put it, or to find the path the more, and is at that point where there is no circumventing but only an uplifting.
Q It was said that we could be led astray in meditation. If we ask for the Christ light to be around us, is that…?
S If ye ask for God’s will to be done, if ye base it totally in selflessness in the Christ, in God, calling for the Holy Spirit, this, then, is perfection. But how many go into meditation giving lip service to God, and in reality, go in to build for self- not for others, not for God, not for the glory of God, not for the love of brother, sister, but for self. Then this is vain and wrong.
Matthew 15:25-28
Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, “It is not meet to take the children‘s bread, and to cast it to dogs.” And she said, “Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters‘ table.” Then Jesus answered and said unto her, “O woman, great is thy faith; be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
S Faith, love, mercy, grace – here is the example – when that constructive force within self, that seeking force, that which would have the errant thoughts righted, realizes that here is the Christ, here is that which the soul longs for. For Canaanite also may be considered the soul force within self, looking for the way. When that which are the processes of the mind and the process that is seeking come in harmony, they may be saved, even by that which are the crumbs. For God, in His mercy, has given thee the Christ. And through the Christ ye may be brought forward to overcome that which are as those elemental forces within self, developed through the many lives within the earth, that hold self to the illusion. When the overcoming of the illusion by the truth of seeking (here again you have an example of that force within self for others, even as the daughter can symbolize the seeking for others, the help for others) in truth ye seek for others, then there is the overcoming of that which are as the forces that hold self within this earth plane. It is grace, love, mercy.

Children of the one God, if ye would serve the Lord thy God, then be ye ever ready to throw aside that which is criticism, that which is not the patience with thy brother, thy sister. And if ye would love the Lord, you‘ll find patience, forgiveness, long–suffering. If ye would do these things, though ye might be ridiculed, though ye might be called names, though ye might be laughed at, ye must do as He, for they called Him names. Can you do less?
Matthew 15:29-31
And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain and sat down there. And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them: Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see and they glorified the God of Israel.
S You have that which, though it was done in the physical, which was done in the mental, was through that of the spiritual, that which is the overcoming in the individual selves and in the masses, for those who would use the power of God aright. For even as He gave, “Where two or more are gathered in My name”, meaning those who have overcome or are in agreement in mind, body, and spirit in those things that are asked in His name, shall be done. Therefore, at that time among those peoples, that was accomplished. But (it) ever it is for the individual to realize that self is crippled, self is ill, self is dumb. When thou hast not met thy Master and He, finding ye not wanting then, (and) then you may call upon that which will overcome.
Matthew 15:32–39
Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. And his disciples say unto him, “Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude”? And Jesus saith unto them, “How many loaves have ye’? And they said, “Seven, and a few little fishes.” And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground. And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude. And they did all eat and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full. And they that did eat were four thousand men, beside women and children. And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.
S This is reaffirming that which is always apparent in mankind, that which ye must learn, that which ye must do, by feeding that which is yourself, through that which is as meditation and prayer – that ye may feed others and take up that which is the remnants to give to others. And then must go out on to the sea of life to be as a light to others. For it is as ye give to others that ye are known. As ye are known, ye glorify Him and His ways.
Q There were five loaves of bread and two fish mentioned in Matthew 14.15–21. There are also seven in this story, Is there something we should know about…?
S Five and two are seven. It‘s the same thing. lt deals with the same as we have given before. It is that which is the reaffirming, as given, of that which man always has, the doubts, the questions of themselves, even as they attain, even as they attune, even as they become at oneness with Him– yet the doubts are there. For it is human to do so. For even He, the Prince of Love, the Judge of this earth, had His doubts, His calling.
