Holy Father-Mother God,

we ask Thy presence, Thy blessing, Thy love to

be used, oh Father, as You know is best.

We ask Thy love, Thy mercy go to those who

seek to see and know Thy face. Oh Lord, we

ask this through our Elder Brother, Jesus the

Christ. We call for His presence to guide us, to

show us the way, lest we become lost and stray.

Blessed is the name of the Lord! Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord! Blessed are those who would listen for the name of the Lord, and recognize Him that cometh in the name of the Lord.

Matthew 23:1-3

Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples. Saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Mosessea: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.”

S This is ever the pattern of mankind that must not be aped within the body, within the mind, within that which is the totality of the individual. For there are always those who say and order but do not do of themselves. Therefore, the mind cannot direct the body where the will does not show the way. Nor will that of the will subvert the mind or the body unless all are in coordination. There, fore, though ye hear those words and have been given guidance, ye must make it a total thing to possess the mind, the will, and the physical self, by that which is the spiritual nature and the direction of same. For mankind, it is ever that those in authority, though they follow that which is the lip service of the Way, do not live same. For who among mankind has walked in the shoes of Jesus who became the Christ? And unless ye can do that, ye have not attained.

Matthew 23:4-7

For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne and lay them on men‘s shoulders: but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, and love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi.

S The direction here is that ye must live within self, even within that of the mind, by direction of the spirit, rather than that which shows on the outward self, or the preoccupation of the ego self upon that which are others, or the impression of self upon others. And ye cannot call yourself Rabbi. For the meaning here is not teacher, but Master or Lord. For ye are of God and God is the Lord. Therefore, do not seek titles for self or others, lest ye run afoul of that which is self and sin (the missing of the mark) in that which is the preoccupation or that which leads astray, however subtly, by titles or by assuming authority for that which is God’s work, which is God, and not that of the personality that is shown on that which is the plane that ye exist.

Matthew 23:8-9

But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

S Titles are hollow things. Position is a transitory thing. Ye are here but for a short time. Therefore, do not be swallowed up by the material, by the profane, by that which would profit only that of the physical man, or the physical-mental man, rather than that which is the spiritual nature of the human, or the entity, or that which is the soul force, rather than those things which are attributed to the earth. Therefore, walk carefully, talk carefully, but above all, be worshipful to the true Master, the Master of Life, the Christ.

Matthew 23:1012

Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

S For as ye throw that aside which is as of this world, so will ye find the truth, and the truth will, indeed, set ye free and give you that which is the  Truth, or the God, or that which is the Godlike character, or that which ye were intended to be from the beginning, even as He, God, has created you to be that which is as His and His alone.

Matthew 23:13

But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

S Those forces that would lead you astray are even as the mind forces, as the Pharisees and the scribes, the rationalization, the aware mind – aware of this earth, and the powers of this earth, and that which is the Prince of this earth. For woe is he that succumbs to that which is as self and selfishness, rather than to give his alms, substance, to that which is as the Force of Life and Truth – even God.

Matthew 23:14

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore, ye shall receive the greater damnation.

S He that deludes himself has sinned the greatest sin. For he that deludes himself sends his soul into prison for the longer time and houses it in that which is of the earth rather than that which is as the spiritual levels where it will attain, where it is as on its level, God’s level. Therefore, ye imprison by your very acts.

What is the significance of the widows’ houses?

S That which has sacrificed, or that which is in need of, or that which are the forces that may be collected and then used for the goodness of others. For as ye strike against that which are others, you have taken that which is the opportunity, as seen here as the widow or the widowshouses, or that place that is the opportunity to not only to be as service to others, but to be that which would raise up the soul of self in doing so.

Q I have a translation here that doesn’t even mention the widowshouses. What about that?

S How often is there that many things have been changed, or left out, or that which is circumnavigated. It is covered again and again, one way or another, as you will go through that which are the Testaments, or that which are the sacred writings, or that which is as the guide for selves. Therefore, if it is left out here, it will be retained there.

Q On two or three occasions the Source has suggested that an individual seek to help the widows and the orphans. Does this have a symbolic as well as a literal meaning?

S Are ye not all widows and orphans? [10-46, 5-13-78]

Matthew 23:15

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.

S That which would go out and convert others to the way of selfishness, of self-righteousness, of that which would deprive others of the Light or the Way, have destroyed that which is not only themselves and others, in a lifetime, and therefore [have] cast selves and others into the judgment of selves. Whereas all must be made new again through that which is the rebirth, again and again, to overcome that which is as the change, or chains forged  within a lifetime.

Matthew 23:16-18I

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, “Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold/” And, “Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.”

S There are those who would denounce that which is the God Force within selves by putting forth that which is as the temple, or the body, in this case. There are those who would cast aside the spiritual to uplift the mind, and they will know their way. For he who was blind is that one which, given the truth and the opportunity to find within self the Way, cast it aside to look upon the mind, or the body, or both, as that which is as greater than the rest. But in this earth plane you must have that which is the trinity within self – the mind, the body, and the spirit, working in that which is a triumvirate, that which is in conjunction, or else ye have lost the opportunity.

Matthew 23:19-21

Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

S Guided by God, you must come to that conclusion: that the spiritual, the mental, and the physical are as tools in this plane, that ye may work the Father’s work, do the Father’s bidding (not self or selfishness) to prevail.

Matthew 23:2223

And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

S What ye do with your body, your mind, and even the spiritual nature of self, must pay tribute to that which is the God Force, or the Christ Force within self. There are those who would exalt the Christ Force, and yet not realize that it is the God Force in action and separate even this from the Oneness. There is the reprimand here, that even as ye take that which is as the spice of life, or those things which would spice your life, even as given here, the cumin (or omitted the dill) and do those things for the body, for the mind, ye have lost your way and the sense of propriety. Remember, ye must balance self.

Matthew 23:24-26

Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

S Even seekers are Pharisees until that time, in truth, they no longer have that which are the desires of that which is the physical world, but only use the physical world as a means of that which is the help of the brothers, the sisters. Therefore, turn to that which is the guide from within, lest ye find that which is the physical nature, the mental nature, overwhelming.

 Matthew 23:2728

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.

S This is the call to prayer and meditation. This is the call to that which is as: do as ye believe, rather than live that which is a lie for the beauty of this world, rather than the worlds that lie beyond, and the true Light, the true Way, the true Love that is as the redeeming force within this universe, this cosmos.

Matthew 23:29-30

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.

S With the guidance, with that which is given, any individual that does not turn within and follow that which is the guide from within – the guidance of love, truth, and beauty, putting God before all things and self after all, then are as that which would give lip service to that which [is] even as the guidance from the prophets, and then, too, there are those who have partaken of the death that is given to (in] that which are as instructions to the individuals. And regardless of that which you would be and do, it is through actions that ye overcome and become.

Matthew 23:31-33

Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

S Like begets like. And if ye would not be as those who stoned, those who crucified, those who brought blood upon their fellow beings, then turn ye within. Find the Light, the Love, and the Way, lest ye damn yourself, and condemn yourself once again to the living hell, that, in truth, is the separation from God, being as those individuals that must return over and over to this life plane.

Matthew 23:34-35

Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

S ln every life, in every individual, is the opportunity to receive or to turn away that which is given in the spiritual nature, that which is the truth of God, that which is as life for thy fellowman, that which is the opportunity to spread that which is the Word by actions, by thought, too, within this plane. Therefore, align yourself and choose this day whom you would serve, the Lord thy God, or thyself.

Matthew 23:36

Verily, I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.

S You are the generation. You are those who are held within this earth, regardless of position, regardless of place, you are that generation. Then break from that generation and be gone from that which is possession by the physical, material plane. Therefore, take up that which is the cross and be as one who seeks not for self, but for others even as He gave: “Others first, Father, others first.”

Matthew 23:37.-39

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

S For if ye would find Christ, if you would find Him who is your Elder Brother, who is the Way, the Door, the Path, then you must go into yourself, into that place which is Jerusalem, the mind, the spiritual understanding place, or that which (ye) evaluates, that which uses the faculties, what which ascertains and evaluates and not be biased. For when this center is biased, when this operation is biased, ye stone the prophets, you shut the door on that which is Him who is thy help, thy light, thy way. And until self can truly prepare, and, in truth, live that which is given, then ye cannot turn to Him – though He wishes you to, and stands awaiting, arms open, hands out. But how often is He ignored! For this is the warning: there are those who wrap themselves in the cloak of love, spirituality, and yet they are Jerusalem.
