The document provides a detailed analysis of Matthew 26 from the Bible, focusing on the Symbolic Meaning of Betrayal and Sacrifice; spiritual and metaphysical interpretations. It covers various events and teachings within the chapter, including the plot against Jesus, the Last Supper, Peter’s denial, and the arrest of Jesus. The analysis delves into the symbolic meanings and spiritual messages behind these narratives, emphasizing themes like betrayal, sacrifice, and spiritual awakening.
Matthew 26:1-2
And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples, Ye know that after two days is the feast of the Passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.
S Here is that which is, even as given (or), an example of that which happens within the individual and must happen within each and every individual: to be betrayed by thine own body that ye may know that which is the sacrifice that He gave. Betrayed by that which is the mind, the physical yearnings, the desires of the mind, what have you, so you may know, so you may overcome, so you may become as He that is the Light, the Door, the Way, the Path.
Matthew 26:3-5
Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas, And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty and kill him. But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.
S For those who search within, there must come the confrontation with those who see that of the Scriptures as being superficial. For that of the chief, or the high priest, is as the intellectual understanding of the Bible, of God, of the spirit, knowing not the truth of the spirit, the true word of the Bible, or the understanding of God. And those that serve this purpose, or these understandings, are those who are as the servants. Those who are as the people are as those who condemn or throw aside that which is as the spiritual or even that which is the religious bent of others, or of anyone, or themselves.
For here you have that which is not only the trial within self but the trial of that which is the understanding, as developed through prayer and meditation within the individuals, by the rest of the world – those who are in the world and of the world, rather than in the world but not of this world.

And now we give to this group that which is love, that which is mercy, that which is truth, that which is freedom, in the name of Him who is the Way, Jesus the Christ, Lord of this plane and all places if you would have Him so. We give the love, the blessings of the Father and of the Son at this time.

Merciful Father, hear our prayers.
Use us as Thou knowest is best. We call upon
Thee, oh Lord, for Thou are truly our God, our
Way, our Life. Then use us, oh Lord, as You
would have us to be used – not as we would
be used but as You would have, oh Lord.
And we thank Thee for Thy presence
and Thy love.

Oh children of the one God, choose that which ye would serve, and make it known within thine own house that you would choose the living God. For, as given: ‘Seek, and ye shall find; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and the door shall be opened.” For those who approach in faith, receive that which are as the just rewards for the loving, giving child.
S We have this group. We have the inquiring minds of this group. We have the bodies physical, mental, and spiritual. We have those that stand in audience. But first we would give that, once again, it is faith ye must seek, ye must ask, and ye must knock. For many, the way is perilous and fraught with dangers, false leads, lies, and bigotry. And yet who among you has trod that path that is straight, clean, and bright? lt is faith that brings you back and faith that guides the footsteps of each and every individual. Therefore, search; but always seek, always ask, always knock.
Matthew 26:6-7
Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
S Here you have that which is as Simon (though not that which has become Peter), causal world forces, not yet into that which is the faith and yet bordering on it – the seeker, in other words. You have, then, the woman, Mary, who anoints and carries that which is the anointing, that which is Divine Love, that which is the purification of the body of Him, and selves, that approach, then, that which is thine own, even as His crucifixion, the anointing or the washing of the body, or the filling of that, you see, even as given here, the house of the leper. And what is the leper but significant of that which is the separation of man and his thoughts, to the extreme, from that which is God, the divine forces. In short, ye have Mary who cleanses because she is representative here of God’s strength and renewing, His love, in the house that ye have built-that of the leper, or the rotting away of the spiritual foundations of the body. And yet, also, the house is that of Simon, the searcher, the seeker, who is at, then, the step to become faith, or Peter. Alabaster: that which is representative here of that center of the body, that highest center of the body, the pituitary, wherein the Divine Love, the Christ Force, rests.
Q Did Jesus eat meat other than fish?
S Even as He gave, that which comes into the body is not that which defiles the body. Jesus at times ate that which was not fish, though He was inclined not even to eat much fish. He did eat of goat and lamb.
Q Is there a spiritual significance in the eating of goat and lamb?
S Yes. He who took the beating became even as that which was the scapegoat, remembering that the high feast was celebrated by the Hebrew when the scapegoat was used and driven out and destroyed – symbolmatic of the taking and the giving of the sins of Israel, investing it in one object, and being destroyed. The lamb, of course, the symbol of the sacrifice.
Q Is this the reason that Jesus was born under the sign of Capricorn – symbolized by a goat?
S This is correct. [ 10–45, 5–7-78]
Q Which Mary was this? Was this Mary the mother of Jesus?
S No, Mary Bethany.
Matthew 26:8-9
But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, “To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much and given to the poor.”
S That which is crying out was not as the disciples per se, but that which was represented in the disciples, even as Judas, or Judah Iscariot – that which is ever the betrayer of those who seek upon the path. For in that man, that (the) name, that being, is that which are as the mind forces, the body forces, that pull away from that which is the purification, crying out even at that time, see, to the material, pointing out that which is the material gain, or the material loss, as that entity saw it to be. This is representative of each and every individual’s yearnings of the superconscious against that which is the super ego man, as represented in that of Mary versus that which is as Judah, or Judaea, or Judas Iscariot, or the battle between same. For this man is as that which is the downfall of many who are on the spiritual path and yet allow that which is the fragmentations of the ego: that, a lingering search for power, for that which is the understanding in the mental conditions and the control of same, rather than washing self, free and being as that which is the true spiritual being.
Matthew 26:10-12
When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, “Why trouble ye the woman? For she hath wrought a good work upon me. For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always. For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.”
S This, then, is that which happens to each and every individual. The poor always with you are your own thoughts, your own material body, your own material way. Ye have this always with you. And the comfort, then, is only secondary for this part of an entity. Whereas that which is the spiritual is not always awakened, not always present. And the burial here, then, is that which is the uplifting. For burial of that which is as the body is the freeing of the soul. But the burying of that which is as He, as meant here, is the destruction of that which is the spiritual that happens so frequently among that which are those upon this face [of] this earth. Therefore, here is meant: the burial of Him, as an individual, must be done so that the freeing of that which is the Christ, the Christ Force, could be accomplished.
Matthew 26:13
Verily I say unto you, “Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.
S The good news must be present. The truth must be known: that the good woman, that which is done, is as divine truth, divine love, freeing the body from that which are as its chains, the body physical, that the body (that is to say, the soul body) may be raised up, exalted, unto that which it as has come, unto that which it is. Therefore, to those who would seek and those who would find, this is the door and the opening of the Christ Force.
Matthew 26:14-16
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, And said unto them, “What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you?” And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver. And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
S Here, the forces that lie within, that are so often seen within those who claim to be and think of themselves as seekers, going to that which is the formal, going to that which titillates the outer man, going to that which stimulates that which is the intellectual man, as represented here by the priests, betraying for some (that is for the outer man) that which is the inner man or the spiritual force.
Q In the I Ching the sum of the earthly numbers is thirty. Does the number thirty symbolize here the three lower centers?
S It symbolizes all the forces, especially that which are the outer man, the physical man, and, in a sense, the three lower centers as given. For here, you see, are the urges and desires to be first overcome, that the upper centers may fall into line. For without the lower centers being conquered, there cannot be the full spiritual growth and awakening within an individual that must be. Therefore, that which symbolizes the outer man and the forces of same, even the intellect, and that which are as the lower centers become one.
Q Can we be given more understanding of the purpose behind Judas Iscariot‘s act?
S Someone had to fill that which were the shoes of this one for the purposes, or the purpose that must be, even as one had to fill the shoes and be the man Jesus, that He may become christed. Therefore, in the proper place was the proper man. Regardless of the emotions, or the meanings, or the purposes of the entity, it was to be. That which must be fulfilled, must be fulfilled. Judas acted and operated even as individuals within this room have done. For ye are all at that stage that Judas Iscariot was in. For you see, he, though pious in his understanding, in his conception, was misled by that which is ever so secretive within an individual: to find that and force that which is the spiritual understanding upon others, even He that was Jesus, or others. Have ye all not partaken of this? And yet ye stand one step away from that which is as the rock, Peter, the faith. Therefore, choose this day whom you would serve. Who will the master be, Jesus the Christ or Judas Iscariot? It is the choice. Judas Iscariot believed that what he did was the correct thing, believing to force upon the man Jesus the role of Messiah, fulfilled as he saw it to be, of the Christ as he saw it to be, rendering his will upon others. And mark ye well: never allow another’s will to dominate selves, or selves‘ will to dominate another, for then ye follow false gods. This is as said, each and every individual in this room has the opportunity to go this way or that way. Therefore, be careful as to that which ye would determine is correct. Always, always, make that decision as if the Christ were before thee, seeing as how He, Jesus the Christ, would do, would act, by that which ye know of His ways, and by that which are as the fruits. And always, always, be ready to evaluate self – the purposes, the reasons, the forces – before making choices, or expounding to others, or obeying others.
Matthew 26:1 7-18
Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, “Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover?” And he said, “Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples.”
S Even as the symbol of the first day is that which is the awakening to the path of each and every individual, and that which must be taken to that which is the Passover, or the acceptance of the blood of the Lamb, even as Egypt was cleansed in those areas for the Israelites, for the Hebrew. So it must be within selves. For Egypt is as the lower, the intellectual, the urges of the body; whereas Israel, the seeking; Hebrews, the followers. Therefore, prepare yourselves by opening the way to that which is the cleansing by that which is the blood of the Lamb, Jesus the Christ.
Q Does unleavened bread symbolize the unrisen body?
S Unrisen body and unrisen forces within the body, to be used in that which is contacting the blood of the Lamb.
Matthew 26:19
And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the Passover.
S Remember, even as that word ‘disciple’ is as a word that chains you to a cause, is as a word that makes you dedicated and giving that which is as your full measure, your earthly, your spiritual devotion. So, at that time that you became or become a disciple to Him that is the Christ, or the forces of the Christ, you become that which goes to, then, joyfully, thine own crucifixion, thine own Passover, too.
Matthew 26:20–21
Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve. And as they did eat, he said, “Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me”.
S Pointing out that this, even though you sit in prayer and meditation, ever is the Christ Force aware of that which is the intellect of self, the karmic pattern of same, the mind forces, the will, and the urges of the body, and knows the forces within self will betray here or there or many places, as the individual will choose.
Q Were there any female disciples present at the last supper in addition to the twelve male disciples?
S Six.
Q Can you give us their names?
S Mary Magdalene, Mary of Bethany, Mary of Olivet, Helen, Ruth, and Jundea – all of that which were as Nazareth.
Q Were they related to Jesus or any of the male disciples?
S Ruth, sister of Jesus.
Q Was one of the female disciples the one referred to in John 13:21 as “one of his disciples whom Jesus loved’?
S Correct.
Q Which one was she?
S Mary of Bethany.
Q Was she the author of the fourth gospel?
S Co–authoress.
Q And was the reason she did not use her name because of her sex and the status of her sex in those days?
S Correct.
Matthew 26:22-23
And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, “Lord, is it I?” And he answered and said, “He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.”
S Once again, that is the body or the awareness within self of the fact that there is the presence of desires and forces, within the bodies, within the minds of entities, that lead them astray. They are that which is part of self, even as self, dips into the feeding by the forces of God within self. The awareness is there of the faults, the frailties of that which has been assumed by an entity, the human entity or the human side.
Matthew 26:24
The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
S This is as that which is condemning, that which is even the bodies that ye live within condemning that which is held to the body and that which is the often returns, or the many returns, by the individuals to be condemned within the body. For the body of an individual, no matter how beautiful, no matter how healthy, no matter how helpful to others, is as a prison. And therefore, ye are as a prisoner status -not a prisoner of Christ, oh no, but a prisoner of that which is materiality, humanality, or the humanist side of things. How often has man misused that which are the forces within self, even terming it that which is the humanistic, or the humanitarian, when it is base.
Matthew 26:25
Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, “Master, is it I?” He said unto him, “Thou hast said.”
S Always there must be the recognition within self of that which are the betraying factors. For until you come face-to-face with that which are the motives, the forces within yourself, regardless of how overpowering, how awe inspiring they are, ye cannot meet that which is the real God in truth, and you cannot free that which is as the soul force, or awaken the Christ until ye have done same. And yet it cannot be another that calls it forth from self, whether it be a priest, whether it be this one or that one. lt must be the awakening within self, the full awareness of self and the truth of thy being.
Q When Judas betrayed Christ, in his own mind was he attempting to help Christ? Did he realize the consequences?
S No one could recognize the cons quences. The entity was battling with self. He was the proper one in the proper place at the proper time … If it were not Judas, it could have been another. But someone would have, and this time it was Judas. It‘s happened before, to a lesser extent. The entity, Judas, was as closely to deranged, mentally, physically and spiritually as an entity can, and still function. ln the moment of lucidness, the entity had an inkling of what self had done, leading to the destruction of the body in the New Testament.
Q Was this the same soul that sold Joseph into slavery in Egypt for the same amount of money?
S It was.
Q Is this the reason the Master chose him?
S As we have given, it was done to a lesser extent before. [10-13,12–4-74]
Matthew 26:26
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body”.
S This is the symbol of the destruction of the body. This does not mean, as so many have thought, that ye take in that which is the physical body of the Christ. It is as He was giving it: “My body is being destroyed, eaten, gone. For this is the release of Me.” And you must do the same that ye may be released too.
Q Did the disciples understand His meaning at this time?
S No. They did not. Not until He reappeared to them after that which is as the return, or after that which was the raising from that which was the tomb.
Q Was that the basis for the writing of the Didache, because that seems to me to clearly show that they understood?
S Correct.
Matthew 26:27-28
And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
S Even as the blood of the lamb protected those in Egypt from the terrors of the night, so the blood of the Lamb cleanses. And this is the force of God at work. The cleansing force of the Christ that cleans the body, opens up that which is the spiritual path that the soul force may rise above that which are and is the chains that hold that which is the spiritual development of the entities of the world in the world.
Q Could you please discuss the phrase ‘‘remission of sins“” as found in Matthew 26:28?
S Remission of sins is the opportunity that is given to people that they may, through the awakening within themselves of the Christ Force, remove themselves from that which are the bonds of this earth, or that which is the bond of this earth, that they may, in perfection, pass that which is the stage of materialistic understanding, and part from that which is as the birth, rebirth, or that which is the constant returning into life after life. This, then, is the remission of sins as He gave to thee, the Way, the Truth, and the Door, that you may enter.
Q This phrase has been so badly misunderstood, according to that, by Christianity. Why was it given in that way?
S That it may confound the minds of man that are easily confounded, until they had earned that right, that ability, through that which were the searches, over and over again, and had come to that place where they could, as an individual, find the path to truth and be, once again, on the return to that which is the God Force. [ 10–43, 2–25-78]
Matthew 26:29
But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.
S Here is the indication for selves, even as it was for Him, the Master, that once cleansed there is no more to be done. For as ye are cleansed, ye have freed yourself forever from that which is as the material world. And yet, He gave also the promise that ye would do this and drink with Him then of that wine which comes straight from the Father of all, the Lord thy God, in perfection.
Q Does the phrase ”drink of this fruit of the vine’‘ also refer to His return or reincarnation?
S This would not be termed as reincarnation: appearance in the flesh, or resumed purified, more correct. For at that time ye have the opportunity to drink of that, in truth, which He left for you to drink of, to cleanse self, that ye, too, may go on that journey to the return.
Q Could you give us better words to explain the symbology of ”the blood of the Lamb’?
S Even as there began in ancient times the sacrifice, first of humans, then to that of animals, birds included, but mostly that which were the mammals, unto that which He, thy Christ, thy Lord, exemplified: the sacrifice of the spirit, by sacrificing the mind and the will and, of course, the body. (As) the lamb is that which is representational of purity, innocence, and, in truth, love, that grows to be that which is food and clothing, all useful purpose, you see, in the body of the lamb. In the giving of, then, the clothing and the food is that which symbolizes that which is the feeding of the truth, the purity, divinity, by the shedding of His blood through His sacrifice, even as the lamb is sacrificed, that ye may have a way to feed that which is the central portion of yourself, the mainstay of your being, your soul, and also to clothe it in that which is as protection, warmth, and understanding in that which is the blood in His sacrifice, by coming back, by becoming man in a base world. His shedding of that which is the blood is the means, the way, that ye may retrieve that which is your bounden duty, to be upon that path again, unmarred but wiser. Therefore, you may view it as that which is as an ointment, a balm, a light, what have you. Whether other words are more significant, it could be viewed as that which is as the spectrum of red, cleansing, even as red light is such a cleansing agent, filtered and filtering the impurities. Even as is given, the blood of the lamb will cleanse the robes, turning that which are the dyes, that which are the impurities, into white, purity, love, truth, force, goodness, the positive. It is as a cleansing agent that filters the negative from water, or the particles from water, such as muds, the drosses. Whether it is better to say “cleansing agent” rather than “blood of the lamb” is as that which is moot at this time. But, in truth, it is the blood, the sacrifice of the vital life forces, and the coming back from the higher plane, which in itself was a sacrifice of the grandest proportions. All ends in that which is the shedding of the blood, or the material body, totally, which ye must do, too.
Q Would it be logical or acceptable to equate the word sacrifice with the word gift?
S Only to an extent. For gift is not a word that is inclusive of that which was given. Only sacrifice can be understood to fulfill the total, even as life. As ye see, the greatest giving is to sacrifice a life. For ye are bound by the term life in that which is the physical body, the physical mind, and the intertwining knowledge of personality with these two, as ye know personality to be. To sacrifice these, to destroy these, is a sacrifice. To become that which is subject to the law of God, and not subject to selves‘ law, is a sacrifice. He gave us a gift, you, and you, and you, all of you, and all of us, that the angels could sing again, that the heavens could be opened again, and the Way brought to light. A gift, yes, but ever the sacrifice.
Q In relation to this sacrifice, have I been correct in stating that when our Lord came as Melchizedek, he attempted to teach people (having come into the world without being born) and when he failed, he then realized that the sacrifice of coming into the flesh and going through the mess that we had made for ourselves was necessary? ls this correct teaching?
S This is correct. Though the entity was in a physical body, could not at that time assume the physical totality that was necessary. For then the entity that became christed realized that a total understanding, once again, of the human impulses, the human ignorance, the human organism, must be assumed, that it could be shown in a lifetime that every individual born of woman could find the path again to that which is as the overcoming, to find the love.
Q Did He then sacrifice at that time, too?
S He had at that time sacrificed, too.
Q In the copy [of the Didache] I remember, it suggested a communal meal for the followers of the teachings of Jesus. Am I correct in remembering this?
S This also is used in other writings, however was inferred in the original, directly added later, and deleted again so that that which is communion, or the sacrament, would be administered by that which are as the clergy, the priests, rather than that which are the individuals upon each other and themselves.
Q How should we remember the sacrifice of Jesus? What suggestions can be given for a more meaningful remembrance which would be used by small groups for whom the traditional church communion service has lost its meaning?
S First, there can be that which is imaging. And yet that, too, should fall away. The imaging can be of that which is as the man called Jesus. lt can be that which is the mental-spiritual coordination of imaging that which is the man Jesus turning into that which is as the Christ, and in the benign, in that which is as love, blessing, and laying on of hands to all individuals. For others, that which is imaging the golden orb of God, the inner, white purity shining through, love and purity as an orb, a globe suspended before self and in between selves, floating, as you were, above that which is as symbolic of the ground or the earth. ln the imaging for some, it is the fish, for some it is the wine, what have you, some even that which are the grapes. Where your mind travels to find the symbol, then use same, until that time when you sit alone or with others and know the sacrament is with you. For He is the sacrament. Thus it is called blessed. And He then fills you, sustains you, calms you, gives you peace – if you will allow it to be. Remember, you must control your mind first, your will through same you control the body, the actions of same, the feelings, the desires, the needs. Then, as ye control, so you allow the spirit to overwhelm, to take charge, and all is well in God‘s house. [10-46, 5-13-78]
Matthew 26:30-31
And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives. Then saith Jesus unto them, “All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
S All of you must find the Olivet, even as they went and He took them to Olivet, the place where Mary of Olivet lived, or dwelled at that time, the Mount of Olives as you would call it. For that which is symbolized here is that ye, too, must raise yourself up, go to that place. And what is the olive but that which is ever the symbol of love. Muchmore the symbol than ye would use, at this time, of the heart. The symbol of love. Why is it that the ripe olive is more of that which is beneficial to the body than the green? For the simple explanation: it has ripened to its fullest, even as love ripens to its fullest is that which is divine love. Therefore, even as He took them there, He knew, even as individuals must learn, though you raise to that which is the highest within self, when the negative forces of self, strike, the good intentions waver; the good intentions, the good ways, the good habits are scattered. Over and over it has happened to the individuals until that time that they may purify themselves completely and no longer have that which are the earthly desires.
Q Then the olive had to be prepared before it was edible, and would this also be applied to the heart?
S It is correct. Even as the oils that are beneficial and a balm to individuals, or even to the digestive tracts, outer or inner must be prepared.
Matthew 26:32-33
“But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee”. Peter answered and said unto him, “Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.
S Here’s the promise, always going before you into that which is the sea of tranquility, or that which is the search, or that which is even in every individual – the point of meditation. Here He will go before thee to await thee, to take thyself to Him, that ye may be fed that which is the manna of God – love. And here, then, is that which is becoming faith declaring yet to the physical and through the physical being, as so often has been done by every individual: “I will never betray Thee, oh my God.” How often proved wrong!
Matthew 26:34.-35
\Jesus said unto him, “Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice”. Peter said unto him, “Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee”. Likewise, also said all the disciples.
S This is as we have given. When Peter has not assumed the proportions of the rock and becomes that which is faith, so the individual ego speaks for that which is the soul force, the God Force, the Christ Force, in an individual. So the disciples still cling to that which is as the material, and speak of same, through same, with the greatest of intentions to be that which is the nondenying of the force of God. And yet, at the time of that which is as the confrontation with self and the forces within self, the denials come in action, word, and thought – all being one.

We give that which is our love, our blessings, that ye, too, may know that which is as love, the blessing of the Lamb, our Source, our Hope, our Glory. For we, too, have seeked in His name. We, too, have asked in His name. We, too, have knocked in His name. For lo, we are those who have served, do serve, even though we be that which is the messenger. We, too, follow that which is as the Prince of Love, Peace, and for you, Resurrection.

Matthew 26:36–38
Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples,” Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder”. And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee and began to be sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he unto them, “My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me”.
S Now this contains that which each and every individual, coming to which is the Christ realization or that which is the crucifixion of the body, that which is the crucifixion of the material, that which is the crucifixion of the personality as known by man, looks into self and finds that, then, as given as Peter – faith. And the sons of Zebedee, James and John, as wisdom and love, or, as some would give, wisdom and knowledge. But yet love, the greater. These, then, at that place at the foot of the hill, in that place of trial before that which is the spirit within, the Christ Itself goes forth to meet that which is the Holy Spirit of God without, at work.
Q_Is the location that is generally believed to be Gethsemane correct?
S Correct.
Matthew 26:39
And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt”.
S Here ye have that which is as falling on the face (or the symbol of an individual) as each individual must do, coming to that where there was a stripping away of that which is as the pride of man, or the pride of humanity, and that bitter cup that must be taken with same. Here, as He, the Master, meant: the facing of that which was to come. And yet, what ye, each and every individual, must face before they can overcome, too, even as He, that which is the throwing aside of the humanity or the humanhood.
Matthew 26:40-41
And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, “What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
S Even as said, the spirit is willing and the flesh is weak. Here, then, is the division within self even at that time when ye must be the strongest in overcoming those things which come to you as trial and tribulation that lead to that which is the ultimate purpose of self within the earth – the glorification of God – by destroying that which is as the world as man has created it to be–your world, each and every individual‘s world. And finding, then, within self at that time of need, even then, the division of self, the doubts, the need of that which is as guidance.
Matthew 26:42
He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, “O my Father, If this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done”.
S Even as ever it should be always, ”Thy will be done.” Even as He, the Master of Life, fell upon His knees and asked the Father, not once, not twice, but thrice. So it ever should be that always ye must seek, ye must strive, ye must return to that point – and over and over again, until self has accomplished the task.
Q Would you comment on ”and he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep‘‘?
S This, once again, even as before, is that which are as the divisions within self – helter-skelter – the pulling even of love, even of faith, even of that which is wisdom. When it comes to that which is the final, the final testing, the final work, you see, there is always that which is the force within that pulls aside. Remember, that which ye would call the devil, or world thought, what have you, or the intellect, always is at work. Remember, even as for you now, there are those thousands and thousands of generations of thought that has become almost a seething reality about this globe, that cries out and does not want for those to reach that pinnacle as the Christ.
Q Quoting, ”Remember, even as for you now, there are those thousands and thousands of generations of thought that has become almost a seething reality about this globe, that cries out and does not want for those to reach that pinnacle as Christ.” Are there not thousands and thousands of generations of thought and prayer that cry out wishing to reach that pinnacle as Christ?
S Of course, or this world would be overwhelmed. But in yourself be honest. Are these thoughts that are Christlike more predominant than those which are not Christlike?
Q But they are floating around among the seething, are they not?
S Oh, yes. They are those bits and rays of light that come through, that shatter the darkness, that prevent this world from becoming a desert of sin and destruction, and fire and brimstone, and all those things which many meddlesome prayer groups would have it. [10-130, 8-11-84]
Q Why was Jesus asking if the cup could pass from Him when He knew what was going to happen?
S For He was human, and yet He expressed the human emotion. And even as the prophets of old prophesied in those ways and He reacted in those ways that the prophecies would be fulfilled, so He prophesied at this time, for He knew what ye would face, too.
Matthew 26:43–46
And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy. And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, “Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.”
S All things must be put aside. And once they are put aside and ye are in the hands of the Christ Force, in the hands of God, then there is naught to stand in the way. Even as He was betrayed then, so will the final combat, the final war (and it is a war), be fought within self before that which are as the forces of righteousness will overcome.
Matthew 26:47.-48
And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people. Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, “Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.”
S For within yourselves ye even have that prime force that does not understand the way of the Christ, does not understand God, but thinks and acts within that which is the material understanding, sets forth the reasoning, even as the betrayer here did, to force upon yourself, onto others, the thoughts, your thoughts, your interpretations, man‘s interpretations of God, of righteousness, of love. For he that was Judas was the one who believed in the way of might and force, and ever tried to fit the man Jesus into the pattern, never fully understanding or comprehending that which was the Christ.
Q What is the difference here between Herod who was fulfilling a purpose by killing the children aged two years and under, and yet He did not have to meet it karmically, and Judas who was also fulfilling a purpose but did have to meet it karmically?
S Because there was a choosing by one and not the choosing by the other. Whereas you have this which must have been, too, even as Herod, you have that which is the selection and stands for that within self that is the force that must be destroyed. For as ye see, there was the destruction, then, in the understanding of that which was the mistake as made by Judas, as he destroys himself. So the warning within self is that ye will destroy yourself, too. For in the act of destroying himself, the one who was as the traitor compounded the sin by murder, see? For what is suicide but murder. Destroyed the opportunity. Though it is given in the Scriptures as to fulfill the promises of the prophecies that there would be blood money and a field of blood, yet would have been averted if that entity had so chosen. But the man, the humanity, the awareness of the humanity, destroyed the man. For even at that time he could not perceive that the Master of Life was above, beyond manhood, and saw only death of a Prince of Love. Did not fully understand. Therefore, there was that which the entity willfully had put aside, and then in that which was as the karmic order of things, face up to that which he had done in the learning situation.
Q Did the Master choose Judas because he had been the brother who had sold Him for thirty pieces of silver to the Egyptians?
S This is correct.
Matthew 26:49-50
And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, “Hail, master;” and kissed him. And Jesus said unto him,” Friend, wherefore art thou come?” Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
S Remember, the Christ Force knows all hypocrites. God is not fooled, God is not mocked. And those who would perceive themselves as Christians, those who would be followers of the Light, cannot kiss God and be a hypocrite. For God knows.
Matthew 26:51–52
And behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priests, and smote off his ear. Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.
S The example here is: that is truth! He who lives by the world, dies in the world. And to live in the world is to die. To cast all aside is to truly live, and live in that which is beyond this world. As to that which is the striking off of the ear, the symbol here was cutting off that which is the learning process, even of that which actually happened. And though the Master redeemed or repaired that which was done, and so giving that which is mercy to he who struck the ear, Peter, so He will do the same for each and every individual that calls upon His name.
Q Are you saying that the ear was healed also?
S This is correct.
Matthew 26:53-54
Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
S Once again this is reminding every individual that they, too, will be christed. They, too, have the opportunity. They, too, can raise that which is the power, the forces of God. Even as here you have the symbol of twelve, that which [are] as the great twelve main branches of the nervous system, the 60,000. For in each legion there are 5,000, giving you 60,000, or a multitude of hosts within self to carry on that which is as the work. Meaning here, that you have all power to tap as ye become aware of that which are the forces of good within self- God’s force, the Christ Force. Then use same- but for that which is God‘s purpose, not self’s purpose, even as Jesus exemplified here by calling not upon the powers that He had command over. And this, again, was throwing aside temptation. For lo, the karma that would have been lifted for many. Lo, the wonder that He could have done for many. And yet, He would have not fulfilled the way, the earning way that must be for mankind.
Q Following through on the question of Jesus choosing Judas, did He know, when He chose Judas, what would be happening later on?
S Correct.
Q Was this decided before the two of them came in?
S There was more than one available to fulfill the place of Judas. Judas was, as you might say, the head of the class.
Q Then the teaching that we’ve heard that Judas loved Him so much that he offered to do this to fulfill the prophecy isn’t right, is it?
S It is not correct.
Q Was one of the other candidates also a disciple?
S Not of the twelve. For you must understand the term disciple. Anyone who gives that which is their adoration, in truth, is a disciple. More you may say, the apostles. No, but among the disciples, for the disciples, the total disciples at that time of the last supper, would be numbered nearly 700. Those on the inner circle – no, none were present.
Matthew 26:55–56
In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, “Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me. But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples forsook him and fled.
S Even as you seek that which is as the power and love of God, you must come to that which is the reckoning of the forces within yourself. And those, then, even as ye have seen so often, who follow a path and fight their way through that which is as man‘s version of religion, man’s way of explaining or serving God, and then come to that which is as the understanding – only to face that which was too much, or to be diverted by that which is the intellect, or that which is the personality of self, or others – and then to cast aside the path and race to that which is so often the surest to that which is personal safety or personal gain, one way or another. This is the meaning, then, of that which He gave, that ye had been with Him daily. And then, also, that is the explanation of the disciples as they fled at that time.
Q Did any of the disciples put up any fight?
S Peter.
Q Did John take any positive action?
S John took the action that was correct. John understood, you see, as the personification of love. John took the action which was most expedient – he loved.
Q Did John lose his clothes at this occasion?
S Yes. They were torn from him. Remember, he stood his ground. Others dragged him away. There were those who tore at his clothes to keep him, too. John was bewildered, took no action to protect the Master, which was appropriate and understood by himself. Condemned himself later for that which he had done, or felt that he had done, by being allowed to be pulled away – helter–skelter – by the others.
Matthew 26:57–58
And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest’s palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.
S Here came that faith, following at a distance. Not the faith that is ultimate, but faith nevertheless. Even as the shadow following that which is the master, or that which is the force within self, to confront that which is as the established way, the established understanding which the high priest stood for, you see, and those, then, who fulfilled the law as man directed the law to be, the scribes. Therefore, each and every one must go through that, must buildtheir faith, that the faith will see them through, that the Master within them will not go alone.
Matthew 26:59–61
Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death; But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses, And said, “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”
S Always that which is as this world is false and bears false witness to those who would give themselves to God. For even in that time of Jesus there was none that could stand up and accuse Him rightly of evil, even their concept of evil. For He followed the laws and obeyed same. And in what was He finally condemned? For failure to pay to Caesar. For, then, that is as the great sin and the only one that He could be condemned to death for in a Roman court, see?
Matthew 26:62
And the high priest arose, and said unto him, “Answerest thou nothing? What is it which these witness against thee?”
S For the Christ, or the seekers to the Christ, need not answer to the world, nor that which is the formal religious thought, nor that which are the mores of the day. For that which they strive to, and through, is far beyond that which can be accused.
Matthew 26:63-65
But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him,” I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.” Jesus saith unto him, “Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.” Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, “He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy”.
S ln the final analysis, the final point within each and every individual, the apex of that which is the striving, ye must come to the recognition of the powers of earth and the powers of heaven. And when we give that which is as the powers of earth, it is the earthbound power that ye see every day, that which ye live within. And yet, though you are here, you must live beyond, for ye are not of this world, even as He gave. Be not, then, of this world, but only that which passes through, giving that which is love, consideration, goodness. Be that which is a conduit, the pouring forth, the giving of that which is the Christ to others.
Matthew 26:66-68
What think ye? They answered and said, “He is guilty of death.” Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, Saying, “Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee”?
S You will be prosecuted and persecuted for His name‘s sake. For that which ye have lived among, that which ye have lived by, will all raise up against you. For even the jobs, even the employers, even that which lies within you that you have been taught, cries out against that which is the proclamation of the freedom of an individual, the freeing of a soul to that which is God. And ever it will be as long as individuals are held within the earth‘s bonds.
Q Wasn’t it the fact that Jesus had been partly christed before, and He saw the world as illusion, that He was able to bear this better?
S He came back and bore it as a man, faced the temptations of a man. And yet, even in the trials, even at the time He was spat upon, buffeted, did He not smile? Did He not joke? For it is true, even on the way to the cross, He smiled, He joked. He had the sense of humor. For it is through the sense of humor and love, hand in hand, that ye overcome. He came to answer that which was the longing of mankind for a man‘s way of understanding, a man’s reaction to overcome the world. It was not through the Christ Force that He overcame. No. He overcame, or the overcoming was that He threw out that which was contempt, condemnation, hate, fear. You can do it, too. This, then, adds that grand touch to the deed done here. For He used no shield that Christhood would offer, but faced it as you could as an individual, see?
Q Did Jesus have anyone representing Him in this trial or did He represent Himself?
S He had two trials and in neither was He represented, though there were those Jews that He knew that stepped forward. But He would recognize them not, lest they, too, suffer for that which was not proper to suffer for at that time.
Q Do the three days have any special significance?
S Three days always represent that which is the trial of mankind. It was the trial of the body, the mind, and the spirit. Even as the body, the mind, and the spirit represent the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Q Did these two trials take place one right after the other or were they on different days?
S That night, immediately, there was a pre-trial, as you might call it, a trial that was hoped would satisfy all concerned. But as He, the Master, spoke not, could not be condemned, and under that which then was the Roman jurisdiction, for He was a citizen of Rome, you see. Therefore, a trial before a Roman prelate, or a Roman magistrate, or a Roman consul, or a Roman proconsul, or governor, was in order.
Q Did Paul have access to written material about Jesus in his teachings, and if so, what were they?
S He had an abundance of letters, of witnesses, even interviewed many who were at Calvary, many who had witnessed the trial. For even among the Sanhedrin were those who gaped in amazement and shuddered for that which they knew was the truth, and gave voice. Some were cruelly murdered, which is, sadly, part of human nature to get rid of those who would tip the scale, who would rock the boat, who would upset the apple cart.
Q Did he have the material that we are now dealing with in Matthew when he started his teaching?
S Both given to him and revealed to him, to a greater degree, causing much unrest within this entity. For that which is the preconditioning and the concepts of this entity tended at times to become as obstacles for this entity to overcome and only partially, at times was overcome. [10-46, 5–13–78]
Matthew 26:69-70
Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, “Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.” But he denied before them all, saying, “I know not what thou sayest.”
S Thoughts of self, the thoughts and actions of self, will confront self in the times of trial and there will be that turning aside, that denial. And yet, the opportunity will come again and again.
Matthew 26:71-72
And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, “This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth”. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.
S The porch is that which is the symbol here of the actions, or the outward actions, that which is towards thy fellow man. And once again, they will proclaim your leaning, your beliefs. For then ye cannot be washed away. And again, though, the choosing to go other ways, other religious paths, will be that which is the denial. And yet, once again, there will come that which is the opportunity over and over.
Q Was Peter’s denial proper under the circumstances?
S Well, it was not proper, but he fulfilled his role. For each and every act, (though then Peter did not understand at that time, only had that which was the awakening of faith and of the understanding that comes with faith) was for those to follow, to understand that which occurs within all individuals, even if it takes many lifetimes, to follow each step in that which is the overcoming of the physical mental man to become the spiritual man.
Matthew 26:73-75
And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, “Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech betrayeth thee.” Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, “I know not the man.” And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, “Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.” And he went out and wept bitterly.
S This is as the actions, the overt actions, then, of mankind denying in a lifetime, or in a part of a lifetime, or even in a search, that which is the God Force, that which is the Way – in those times that an entity knows or has been schooled, or has schooled self in that which is the truth or the true search – and in the denying and the facing up, then, of what has happened. For there will come an awakening, an accounting with self, at a time, and then this will cause the weeping within an individual or a group.
Q Can it be truthfully said that Peter, the symbol of faith, really didn’t understand or believe until he saw the evidence in the tomb of the resurrection?
S This is true. For Peter was not an astute man, not a learned man, but was not dull, yet, only could perceive. And he is a symbol of mankind, and his faith grew slowly and was awakened. And at that time of that which is the resurrection truly came to understand, to accept and believe.
Q Were any of the apostles intelligent or astute?
S Yes. There were several that had more than average intelligence. None were highly intelligent, as you would count intelligence to be. For Matthew was by far the most intelligent, and yet his capacity at that time could not even be considered outstandingly intelligent. It was not for intelligence that they were chosen.
Q Does this three-day interval have any bearing on our burial policies today as far as cremation or embalming of the body goes?
S No. It is that which is a mental, physical, spiritual thing. Once that which is an entity passes from a body, the first is done, or the first step as symbolized here. And the symbolmatic, then [the] second step is that overcoming of the mind, or the mind’s balancing those positive and negative aspects of the life just passed. The third, then, is the spiritual instruction to that which would come again.
Q A question was formerly asked about whether the first four apostles were brothers when the Master was Joseph. The Source said this was correct. In the Cayce reading 3976-15, Halaliel spoke of the intended return of John the Beloved in 1936. He said, ”Hence that one, John the Beloved in the earth, his name shall be John and also at that place where he met face-to–face.’‘ Many have thought the last statement referred to John the Beloved having been Jacob. Would the Source give us the correct meaning here?
S Well, you have aspects involved here, which complicate an explanation. How do you explain the light diffused in a prism to those who cannot understand color? There is a reference here, yes, Jacob; yes, John. But only partially so. For it had to be a fulfilling of more than one duty, one aspect. Though there was a warp within the time and a change, John did not come in 1936 as planned. For remember this: no matter what a prophet says, no matter what guidance comes, those things that are not destined by God specifically are changed, even as a prayer sent out to an individual, not needed or not acceptable at that time to the individual, still moves in a path where it unites with that individual in another time and place, making it correct. So that which are the prophecies given through Cayce and others sometimes seem not to be correct, and, yet, in their time, and place, and way, will be maintained and be correct. Even as given earlier in this reading, Judas needed not have been the Judas Iscariot. Another might have been. As given, several others could have been. And yet he fulfilled the purpose, though it was not directly his purpose. And those who could have, then had the opportunity, even as he, to choose at another time and place, if they, too, would be as a Judas, see?
Q The Source stated that Jacob was John the Beloved, but partially so. We were also told that Jacob was the 14th life of the Master. It is my understanding that Cayce said that Joseph, son of Jacob, was a life of the Master. May we have an explanation on all of this?
S Yes. First of all, remember all are one. Secondly, you live in others’ lives by their achievements. Joseph was the true life, where the personality that became Jesus the Christ was of the life, you see. ln question here is Jacob: is as a life that all must achieve. Jesus achieved the Jacob life in the 14th incarnation in this world. He was not the Jacob as you know Jacob to be in that which are the Scriptures. Each and every individual here has grappled or is grappling with Jacob Life now. Jacob life is overcoming, then, that which are the animal instincts, or being, or the natural man, or native man, even as Esau was, that selves may come to that position of understanding and manipulating, then, the mental man, and opening the door to the spiritual. For then, Jesus, who was Joseph, who lived the 14th life of Jacob, or as Jacob, then came to that point ( the second seven) where the self, had to either fall away or go forward. This, in truth, then, is the opening of the door for selves. For then the Master of Light grappled with that which was self, overcame self, and began to use the mental to bring forth the spiritual.
Q Where does John the Beloved fit into this? – partially into Jacob?
S John the Beloved, you see, also faced the same, to become, then, also as the overcoming of the mental man, finding of love was essential – even as it is essential for each and every individual also to become as that which is John the Beloved, to make that entry into that which is the spiritual realm, that others may find light and love. It is one of the essential steps to becoming christed. [10-64, 8-4–79]
Q Were John and James aspects of the same soul?
S Twins, yes.
Q But working independently in a sense, in the same sense that Mary and Jesus were?
S Correctly, even as you and your helpmeet work independently –though you‘re not as aspects, but as individuals. So the aspects in this case worked as individuals.
Q Are twins always aspects?
S Not necessarily, no. Sometimes in the case of identical twins where there is that which is even a chromosome breaking up, giving that which is the mirror image, see. Then you might find, and do at times find, that which are as twin aspects.
Q Was there a girl born at the same time that James and John were born? Did she have triplets?
S This is as that which was brought into the family to bring to that which is, was necessary to develop those two souls –that which is the triad or the tribunal aspect, even as you find the trinity within the God Force of Creator, the God Force within each individual, and the God Force that is the active force or constructive force within the earth. It was necessary to have, then, the two aspects plus that which would make them work – even as you might have a machine that has wheels, has a motor, but needs that which is the source of energy to make it motivated. –
Q When asked whether the mother gave birth to a girl at the same time as James and John, it was said in part, ”this is as that which was brought into the family to bring to that which is, was, necessary to develop those two souls, that which is the triad or the tribunal aspect.‘‘ Did the Source mean those two aspects instead of those two souls?
S Each aspect has soul. Jesus had a soul. Mary had a soul. But it is part of that which is the greater soul, or the superlative soul, as we have given earlier in this reading. That which is questioned here, each had their soul, and that which was brought in was the soul force to balance the two.
Q Are you saying that each aspect has an individual soul, and that portion of the soul belongs to the main soul?
S This is correct. When the Creative Force created the souls, He created the souls that are, even as we have given (the sun, giving off rays, each ray is an individual and yet part of the same ), as soul that become the soul at its root.
Q Was the girl born at the same time as James and John from the same soul, the master soul?
S Not at the same time. Yes, of the master soul.
Q If I understand correctly, Jesus and Mary received the feminine and masculine balance from each other during the time each was in the earth. James and John had to have a feminine aspect from their master soul come into the household to bring this balance. In a given line of aspects, is this kind of balance also achieved by alternating the entry into the feminine or masculine when necessary, as Cayce has indicated?
S This is correct, though normally one gender or the other is predominant.
Q Are there any other ways that this balance is achieved?
S On this plane, no. [10-46, 5-13-78]
Q Could you explain what kind of karma it was that the souls that came in and had their lives taken by Herod underwent? It was mentioned that it was a karma but not as we understand karma.
S This was a karma that [was] to release others from karma, if you can understand that. It was the volunteering to face that which was as a destruction, so that, voluntarily, the act would be upon the individuals that received rather than on those that gave, understand?
Q Is this in the same category as the man that was born blind that he might show, that Jesus might show God’s power?
S Correct.
Source:
Then we give that which is as the love, the blessings, and the guidance. We that light this world through Him that is the Master of Love and Light. We that are as that which are as the angels of light give that which are the blessings of love, and transmit that which is the message of Him to those generations now that will listen, and those coming generations. We then give title so that those who will, and do, often have the question present, within themselves, of whence comes that which are as the messages may be satisfied at this time.
