This document is an in-depth analysis of Luke Chapter 13 from the Bible, focusing on its spiritual and metaphysical interpretations. It includes Parables, Spiritual Growth and the Kingdom of God; Jesus’ teachings about repentance and parables, such as the barren fig tree and the mustard seed, as well as His healing of the crippled woman on the Sabbath. The material delves into themes like spiritual growth, divine judgment, and the kingdom of God.
Luke 13:1-5
There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, “suppose ye that the Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
S The reference here is to that which is the term as used (in) as Galilaeans, or those people, you see, the Galilaeans being the thought patterns awakened to that which is the spiritual search, the spiritual understanding. If those that have found the path are destroyed in the physical, then where is the importance of life? Not in the physical, not even really in the mental, but in the spiritual. Therefore, the word was given at that time: awaken the physical and mental that the spiritual may live the more, that the truth of the individual being be awakened. And regardless of what happened to the physical, or the mental, the entity has achieved and found the truth and the true peace which is the active God in action, or the Christ Force.
Luke 13:6-9
He spake also this parable: “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, ‘Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?’ And he answering said unto him, ‘Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.'”
S These are the patterns or the fruit of the spirit. The fig tree and its branches are that being the thought patterns in the established way – that is the search, that is the action that each and every individual initiates, and then must cultivate. This is the facing of the reality in self. Should there be a continuation, should there be the effort, or should there be that which wipes it out, and the concentration upon living in the world as part of the world, or that which is the material-mental plane rather than the mental-spiritual plane, it comes into each life that the decision must be made. And only self can make the decision of whether to go forward, to fertilize that which is the spiritual, or turn aside to that which is the mental-physical world.
Q Are the first three years symbolic of the three lower centers and the fourth year, the fourth or heart center?
S Astute in that which the entity perceives to be correct here.
Q And are we as members of this group as fourth year fig trees?
S Very much so. This is a time of decision. Even as the year indicates a decision year, the group is in that which is a state of flux or decision.
Luke 13:10-14
And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, “Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.” And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, “There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day.”
S This is the hypocrite’s way of measuring things. Had the ruler of the synagogue been able to perform that which Jesus of Nazareth, he would have proclaimed it from the roofs of the temple, would have mouthed it in the streets, but this is typical, you see, of the world that you exist in. Remember, this lady, a true, fine lady, took on that which was beyond the duty to come into that world at that time to suffer that which you would see as paralysis of the body, to give eighteen long years of suffering that that moment might be used to further the work of God within the land, that Jesus of Nazareth could lay His hand upon her and restore that which was bent to straight, that which suffered to peace. This was voluntary. If you could realize the sacrifice made by the individual here, it would give you a measurement of what you should do for your God, too.
Luke 13:15-17
The Lord then answered him, and said, “thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?” And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
S The people saw in this not only the actions of God at work, but rejoiced in the wonder that those people in authority were put in their place. For the burden [that] was put upon the people by those rabbis, those priests of the time, was extraordinary. Satan, at this time, was that which was the intellect which required the miracle (as you would term it to be), or the law to be worked on, to come about at that time, you see. The lady in question had no workings with that which you would call the devil or Satan, being more saintly than satanly.
Q What is the significance of the eighteen years, here?
S That’s a nine, you see, a finishing number. The entity was finishing that which was a bout within the material world by overcoming that which was the pain and the physical of the world, having overcome all other things. Was not required to do anything but wait for that which was the Christ to appear to open the way for redemption through that which was His own sacrifice – yet realized and made the choice, knowing full the bounds that that entity would be placing herself in at that time – a real sacrifice, a real learning, and there was just and wondrous rewards for same.
Luke 13:18-19
Then said he, “unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard see, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it.”
S And the kingdom of heaven is within. It is a thought, but nothing is mightier, more overwhelming than thought. It is the pure thought. You cannot weigh it, you cannot measure it, but it is there. Awaken the thought that it may burst forth and the foliage of same may fill yourself and be as that which is a tree in the garden of God, that the purpose of the soul within the earth may be accomplished.
Luke 13:20-21
And again, he said, “whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.”
S Action, action, spiritual action brings forth, even as the raising of the bread that makes that which is flat, full, and that which is of little body, to full body. Thus, the taking of thought and action within your body, within your mind, within your sphere of influence, becomes that as the leaven that raises the whole.
Q Would the three measures of meal relate to the three Gunas – Tamas, Rajas, and Sattva?
S That’s correct.
Luke 13:22-30
And he went through the cities and villages, teaching and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then said one unto him, “Lord, are there few that be saved?” And he said unto them, “strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye being to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, ‘I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.’ There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.”
S This is the warning that goes also with, “knock and the door shall be opened.” But so often there is a misunderstanding, you see. Yes, the door shall be opened. It will be opened to those that unselfishly seek and are about their Father’s business. Those in selfishness that approach crying out will not be redeemed. For then this which is spoken of here is the beginning again of that which is a new cycle of being bound within the earth. For whence comes all the prophets to give the sign that the times of old are over, that new times have begun again. And when you have renounced that which is the Way, the Holy Spirit, you have then renounced the opportunity. Therefore, seek each day to announce yourself to your fellow men by your actions, your thoughts, your deeds, that you have found the door, that you will knock on that door and be accepted – not for your selfish intents, not really for yourself at all, but for others, that others may find the Path, the Way, and the Light (as we have so often given). Seek and you shall find. And in the seeking it is by dedicating yourself to the search. Knock and the door shall be opened for those who unselfishly give of themselves. Ask and you shall receive in the name of the Lord, not for yourselves, but for the betterment, for the love for-and-to the rest of humanity, those entities that are within this earth.
Luke 13:31-33
The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, “Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.” And he said unto them, “Go ye, and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. Nevertheless, I must walk today, and tomorrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.’”
S Jerusalem being that which is the holy place within yourself. And once the prophet of the Lord has been established within that, then you have received that which is the blessing of God, and you are truly on your way. You cannot be destroyed nor harmed – the physical may go, the mental may go, but the spirit is rewarded. Therefore, even as He gave to those which was His first expression in reality, or alluded to that which was to be termed as the three days, or the cleansing of the three centers, totality, the Christing, so begin within yourself that experience that leads to that which is the Christing within yourself and that glorious renunciation of that which is the personality developed within the earth planes, and receiving that which is the true or perfected personality of the spiritual world.
Q In the physical example given here, were the Pharisees Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea?
S Yes.
Luke 13:34-35
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, ‘Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.'”
S All examine your own minds for this, and this description is the intellect of self. This is Jerusalem – the chicks, the thoughts, the thought patterns. How would the Christ wish to gather yours in? How would you wish to gather in all of that which are the troubles and make them anew, cleansed, clean and proper! How often has He been disappointed in that which were the opportunities as missed by groups and individuals? And yet the Christ is not one, nor a thing, that will be thrown aside, derailed, detracted. It cannot be subtracted. It cannot be divided. It can only be multiplied and added to. There lies that which is your opportunity to be as that which is a catalyst towards that which would cause the Christ Force to multiply, to be added to, in strength, within the many individuals by becoming one with the purpose of God within the earth, by dedicating yourselves, however feeble, however crudely, however simply, to that which is God. Then dedicate the mind, the body, and the soul to that which is the Light, the Father-Mother Creator Who has given love, mercy, and now grace through that which were the actions of one of your own – Jesus of Nazareth, raised. Can you do less for your fellow men than to be as Jesus of Nazareth even in the smallest imitation? Yes, you are limited at this time, and yet, you are limitless. You set your own boundaries, your own degrees of success, and throw off those chains that bind you, open up your heart and let the truth pour forth, that this world in its troubled times may find that which is the strength and the mercy that is of God and God’s alone.

And now, we as the messenger, give that which is thanks, that which is love, that which is mercy. The blessings of God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit be upon you.
