John 4: Spiritual Meaning of The Samaritan WomanThe document is an in-depth analysis of John Chapter 4 from the Bible, focusing on its spiritual and metaphysical interpretations. It covers Jesus’ encounter with the Samaritan woman at the well, the concept of “living water,” and the spiritual teachings related to this encounter. The material delves into themes like spiritual truth, divine revelation, and the breaking of social and cultural barriers through spiritual understanding.

John 4:1-6

When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. And he must needs go through Samaria. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Now Jacob’s well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour.

S You have, here, that which are the forces raising through that which is selves from the lower centers to the higher center. This is the travel of Jesus through the Samaritan land, that which is the accursed, or the physical nature of yourselves, where the spiritual body is encased – not by God’s decree, but by that which is the judgment of mankind upon itself. The journey is wearisome. It is the arrival of the Christ force by that well or spring which pours forth, then, the cup, as “the cup runneth over.” Therefore, the water of spirituality pours through the body, enlightening and enlivening it. Jacob’s well is that which lies within the body of each individual, seen in the cranial area as that which lies above the pineal, which then pours forth or gives the body its resurrection to the degree as enlightened by the actions and works of the individual.

John 4:7-10

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, “Give me to drink.” (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, “How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.” Jesus answered and said unto her, “If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, ‘Give me to drink;’ thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.”

S Your Jacob’s well, as given, lies in that area that the Christ has risen through in meditation. And yet, when you have not reached to that which is the awareness, it is as the Samaritan woman, represents the body physical, the mind physical, and the link between not accepting, or really truly believing in that which is the spiritual rewards or fruit, which is the intellect still in command as the greater “I” and not allowing the I AM to assume that which is its proper place or position. For this is doubt. This is that which has not been overruled, washed and this, then, is action within the mind and the search of an individual. Therefore, know this: each time you do not meditate properly, each time in your heart there are other things that come first, each time you place requirement upon the spiritual, you are that Samaritan woman who had the opportunity to receive the waters of truth and life everlasting but did not know, was not educated, did not have the action to receive same.

John 4:11-14

The woman saith unto him, “Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?” Jesus answered and said unto her, “Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”

S Jesus was giving you the message at this time that once you have opened that which is the communication between the Christ force and the elements of your spiritual nature, you have then achieved the life pattern. And, in truth, those that receive same, may return in that which is the reincarnation cycle, and may not necessarily relive, or use, in the following life or lives that which is the meeting of the Christ through the true meditation and the fruition of meditation. But it is not necessary; the accomplishment has occurred. And then, other things are to be learned, or overcome, or self has come in to be that which is an opportunity for others. And yet, again and again and again you may use that which is the spiritual attunement as received in a lifetime. What Jesus is giving to you as individuals is this: You must treat each life as that which is your opportunity to become attuned through the Christ to the Father Creator that you may, too, then have that which Jesus the Christ promised – life eternal, which does not mean just life, but the recognition of God and God recognizing selves, and then the discovery of your real, true personality. How much greater than any gift is this!

 John 4:15-19

The woman saith unto him, “Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.” Jesus saith unto her, “Go, call thy husband, and come hither.” The woman answered and said, “I have no husband.” Jesus said unto her, “Thou hast well said, I have no husband: For thou has had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly.” The woman saith unto him, “Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet.”

S What the Christ has to say here is that regardless of how secretive you are about your lives, your actions, your thoughts, though they may be screened from others and unknown to the masses, it is known to God, it is known to the Christ within yourself, and yourself cannot hide it. And when you come to meditation you must be truthful with yourself and to the Christ. It has been given over and over, “know yourselves”, and all, therefore, must know themselves, or be about learning of themselves when they seek that which is meditation. You cannot stint. You must find the abundance of God through the abundance of self- analysis, self-cleansing, as fast and as far reaching as you can. Then turn to the Christ. Let the Christ know that you know you have reached that which is your personal limit. And as He has given, when you ask in His name, He will do it for you with that power that is invested, by God, in God the action.

 John 4:20-24

“Our fathers worshiped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.” Jesus saith unto her, “Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”

S For the Word is spirit, God is spirit, and your soul forces are spirit. When you can connect and realize what the spiritual force is, or God, then you have reached that which is the level of understanding that may propel you to other times and places, that you may be about a greater learning experience, that you may go on and on and on. The individual that cannot pass that which is self-interest, selfishness, the ego, the personalized intellect, has not that which is the chance. Not one thing can be done. For when you ask in His name, it means by purification of that which are the motives and actions, by the thoughts and deed within yourself toward others especially, that lifts you up and makes the true request through that which is the name and power of the Christ. There are no shortcuts or substitutes, but only one path, one way to that which is the overcoming of the personalized, living self.

Q Please explain “salvation is from the Jews.”

S The Jews, as given so many times before, is that which is the title or name of those that seek and are on the Path.

Q Is that the same as Israel?

S Israel is that state of mind rather than the total ability or the total consumption by that which is the search. [10-108]

John 4:25-29

The woman saith unto him, “I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things.” Jesus saith unto her, “I that speak unto thee am he.” And upon this came his disciples, and marveled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, “What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?” The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, “Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?”

S Even when the still, small voice within yourself speaks, how often you cannot believe. And when it is repeated through its acts, then you call upon that which is the intellect, that which are the actions, that which is the subconscious nature, and that which is the tie between the subconscious and conscious which is the ego. The intellect then calls these forth and castigates itself, that it may be the correct tool and recognize then that which is God’s action. This occurs within individuals over and over and over again. When the actions start occurring within the life pattern, within the awareness, they must be questioned. For each must judge from whence comes that which is given. For often people are fooled by their subconscious yearning, or selves, or even their conscious manifestation of that which is a Christ force within themselves working. But its fruits are not that as the fruits that come from the awakened spiritual center of self. Therefore, judge, question – it is not wrong – and then know in your heart which is correct.

John 4:30-38

And the men went out of the city and came to Him. During the interval His disciples begged Him, saying, “Teacher, eat.” But He said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” The disciples said among themselves, “What! Did any man bring Him something to eat?” Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him Who sent Me and to finish His work. Do you not say that after four months of harvest? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields which have turned white and have long been reading for the harvest. And he who reaps receives wages and gathers fruits to life everlasting, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together. For in this case the saying is true, one sows, and another reaps. I sent you to reap that for which you did not labor; for other labored; and you have entered into their labor.”

S No individual achieves alone in that which is the meditations, in that which are the prayers, in that which is the seeking, in that which are the actions and thoughts and deeds of the physical-mental world, of the material world. You must question and will be questioned. You must seek and seek the Path. You are never alone. You follow what has been blazoned before you by others. You have the work of the saints and the angels, but they in their turn are of no consequence when it comes to that which is He Who has sown the field for you, and has given you the opportunity to be the laborer, the One Who has given the bounty, the One Who has given life, from the barren to the lush, that you may receive the harvest and collect the harvest as tribute to that which is God, the Creative force. How often do you come before Him empty handed and He in His grace and mercy allows you to work the fields again, and again, and again? Search your hearts. What have you done in His name this day? What outflowing of love? What action to alleviate that which is the burdens of others? What love have you thought towards other? What have your actions, your prayers, your thoughts achieved this day? Have your thoughts been those that would be approved by God? Have you been less than selfish today? These are the criteria that self must use when evaluating your own procedures day by day.

Q Who are the saints just mentioned?

S Well, theoretically, all are saints. As given here, those who have raised themselves to the abilities to help their fellow man, those that hold themselves in this earth to be used by the forces that are ever present of the positive nature, and those who have, by request and service, crossed into that which is the borderland and beyond the work for those on this plane and those that will return to this plane. In short, they are those who have risen to the highest level prior to that which would be considered ascension and serve to raise the level of man’s ability to think, comprehend and act. [10-87]

John 4:39-42

A great many Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of that woman, who testified, “He told me everything which I have done.” So when the Samaritans came to Him, they begged Him to stay with them; and He stayed with them two days. And a great many believed in Him because of His word; and they were saying to the woman, “Henceforth it is not because of your word that we believe in Him; for we ourselves have heard and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”

S When that which is the intellect sees and understands those things termed as miracles or enlightenments, those results of the still, small voice that occur that prove to the intellect that there is a Christ, then it diminishes itself that the will, the mind, the body may proclaim the works of God. The intellect must use that which is the will, that which is the mind power to the raising of the cause and the explaining to the will what its deed, what its work must be. This is the interaction that occurs within yourselves in the spiritual lessons when a deed is magnified only because it is a spiritual deed – not of self but of God.

John 4:43-45

Two days later, Jesus departed thence and went to Galilee. For Jesus Himself testified that a prophet is not honored in his own city. When He came to Galilee, the Galileans welcomed Him, for they had seen all the wonders He did at Jerusalem during the feast; for they also had come to the feast.

S Your life is entwined with others. And then remember that old saying, “birds of a feather flock together”. And once you have found your Christ, your God, your way, you search out those who are on their way, or have found the Path, their God, their Christ, their way that you may become another link in that chain that binds the spiritual to the spiritual, that the greater body may know that which is the lesser body, and the lessor body may be strengthened by the greater, and then minds and spirits may become one, even in the touching through that which is the community prayer, through the offering of that which is the spiritual for the good of others.

John 4:46-54

Then Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water wine. And there was at Capernaum a servant of a king, whose son was sick. This man heard that Jesus had come from Judea to Galilee; so he went to Him and asked Him to come down and heal his son; for he was near death. Jesus said to him “Unless you see miracles and wonders, you will not believe.” The king’s servant said to Him, “My Lord, come down before the boy is dead.” Jesus said to him, “Go, your son is healed.” And the man believed the word that Jesus said to him and went away. And as he was going down, his servants met him and brought him good news, saying, “Your son is healed.” And he asked them, “At what time was he healed?” They said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour and the fever left him.” And his father knew that it was at that very hour when Jesus told him, “Your son is healed”; so he himself believed and his whole household. This is again the second miracle which Jesus did after he came from Judea to Galilee.

S The first miracle within yourself is the shedding of blood, the giving of that which is the wine for your body, your mind, your soul. And the second, in its way, is like to it. It is proving to your mind, your intellectual body, through that which is the seventh hour miracle or that of the seven endocrines used correctly, that God is ever present and has given you the miracle. And many do not believe, even at this stage when they have that which is the intuition, that which is the insight, that which is the healing, that which is the prophecy, and yet turn away, falter and (not as the king) turn to that which is selfishness. For in this case the king is that which is your personality as a person developed, realizing there is a great force, a Creative force, that which can cure, that which can give life everlasting, that which is the promise, that which is the Christ.
