This document is an in-depth analysis of John Chapter 7 from the Bible, focusing on divine wisdom and its spiritual and metaphysical interpretations. It covers Jesus’ teachings at the Feast of Tabernacles, his discussions on spiritual authority, and the mixed reactions of the public and religious leaders to his message. The material delves into themes such as divine wisdom, the challenge of spiritual understanding, and the conflict between earthly authority and spiritual truth.
John 7:1-9
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand. His brethren therefore said unto him, “Depart hence, and go into Judea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. For there is no man that doeth anything in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.” For neither did his brethren believe in him. Then Jesus said unto them, “My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come.” When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.
S Can you imagine the consternation of these brothers? How many of you could receive a Jesus Christ in your family? For they did not only disbelieve aithe notoriety, the popularity and that which was bestowed upon Jesus. For you see, His brothers felt that the opportunities given to Jesus should have been theirs also. And though they loved Him, they did not understand and felt that that which had been taught Him in Egypt and Persia and India were those things which He was using to perform those miracles (as called) before the peoples – even was accused of sleight-of-hand and using that which you would term as hypnosis by the brothers. Imagine brothers who were not even taught to write, but to go about their daily tasks as loyal, loving children of Joseph and Mary, and had a brother that was sent abroad to the best, and traveled in the greatest company, Whose every need was met either by that which were as the material people about Him or by means which they could not understand; Who never, you see, seemed to be sick, shocked, or unhappy, Who seemed to find joy and love everywhere He went. Yes, there was resentment and disbelief, even as you hold within yourself those things about that which is the Christ that is within you. For even the most searching and hopeful entity must come face-to-face with that which is the understanding that the personality (the ego personality as developed through the centuries of time, the many lifetimes) resents the ascendance of that which is the Christ spiritual force within the body, within the doing, within the projecting of that which is a personality from the vehicle that is the mind-body conjunction. It appears so often, even within those who have searched and found so highly, failure to release that which is their mind-physical personalities. You must learn to do this, but step-by- step. It is not demanded at a split instant but in the proper time and place. Do it a little each day. Recognize the good things that come from yourself, the good feelings, and learn not to condemn those negative patterns or thoughts and things that are within you and come through you. Only look at them as that which the greater side, the God side, will overcome because you recognize them. For criticism of yourself, condemning your actions (especially past) is a destructive, negative element of your being. If you are to find that which is God, that which is Jesus, that which is the Christ, that which is salvation, or the Holy Spirit, you must recognize this.
Q Please comment on, “The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify against it.”
S The world as given here is world thought, world opinion, the cruder, ruder side of mankind, the negative image mankind has created for itself, knowing that Jesus was Jesus, being that which is a manifestation love, selflessness, truth, mercy, goodness, which is absolutely opposite to that which is the ego centered, selfish world. [10-106]
Q Did any of His brothers come to believe in Him?
S All came to believe. They were heartbroken. There was that which was the rending of the very fabric of their being at the crucifixion. And there was that which was the utmost joy, love and acceptance in that which was the resurrection. For eve they that had assumed the lower status and the lower mental abilities found joy from within that was proclaiming of the Christ.
Q The brothers referred to were James and Jude?
S Yes.
John 7:10-18
But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, “Where is he?” And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, “He is a good man:” others said, “Nay; but he deceiveth the people.” Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. And the Jews marveled, saying, “How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?” Jesus answered them, and said, “My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.”
S Can you imagine the scene as we see it now? For Jesus was a man of humor and slipped into the feast and listened and laughed and joked and even made jokes to some about Jesus. They were not aware who He was, you see, even as you are quite often not aware of Jesus within yourself. The feast here within yourself is that where you go before the Lord in prayer, so often, and sometimes even in meditation, and yet, not recognizing Jesus. And that which stunned those about his presentation of material was two-fold. First, Jesus could quote verbatim the entire Scriptures. Also, Jesus knew that which were the secret writings and secret language of the priestly kind that only the few were privileged to know. For there was the Hebraic writing and language along with that which were the dialects of Aramaic. And there was that which had been perfected from the experience in Egypt of a priestly tongue which Jesus had mastered quite easily (along with the stumbling John) in that which was Egypt in the training period. This amazed and staggered, especially those who were the rabbis and priests, those who were the judges when Jesus not only recited verbatim the entire Scriptures at will, but also spoke and interpreted for the people the priestly tongue, which helped the demise of same.
John 7:19-24
“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?” The people answered and said, “Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?” Jesus answered and said unto them, “I have done one work, and ye all marvel. Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Judge not according to the appearance but judge righteous judgment.”
S You cry out to kill the Christ each time you concede that which is the Christ and do not live in that which you have conceded to. When you become unjust, angry, shortsighted, foolish, critical, all these things, when you, in short, fall short of that which is the Blueprint, then you call for that which is the death of the Christ. Think on that next time you wish to use the acid tongue, the biting word, the criticism, the anger, the selfishness. You may reflect that when you live in that manner as the negative, you are driving that which is the spike into the flesh of Jesus the Christ. Make no mistake – it hurts now just as much as it did then.

And now we leave you with the thought that you must do good, you must live through that which is the Blueprint, find joy, happiness, love, patience, and goodness within your life and within the lives of those who are about you. We give that which is joy, love and blessings of that which is the force of good, light. We give you that which is the love and blessings of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Merciful Father, through the Pattern, Jesus the Christ, we come to You, asking for your awareness of us, Your love, Your guidance, Your mercy, that we may be about Your business, that we, too, may be a savior for someone.

The Lord is thy Shepherd and is ever present, ever mindful of thee. Know that God and thy God is within you. Be not confused by the terms Christ, Holy Spirit, Father, or all these things that are given to you. For know that thy Father is the Creator, is Love, and loves His creation; that the Father within will do the bidding when that bidding is through that which is faith and charity for the good. And know the Father is the judge of what you ask in prayer and the guide in meditation. Have faith in God. Have faith in that which is the Christ (which is the God within) and the spirit of God (which rests in that which you understand as Jesus the Christ) and the works, that are the Holy Spirit. Be not confounded with that which is given to you but rather find the delight of the child that searches in a world of surprises, of happiness, of joy. Awaken to that which is the Truth, the Love, the compassion, and turn to Him Who is gentle, kind, strong and good. And that you, too, may become unspotted from the world, begin to select the thought that are His that are in you and around you each day, each hour, each minute. For you have much to accomplish, much to learn, and much to be. For as you are made of cells, and the cells are made of atoms, and each atom is a universe of its own to be developed, to find Joy, the Love and the Light. Then, you must be on you way, about your Father’s business that you, too, may disperse the darkness and give the light and save that which is your own soul in doing so.
John 7:25-31
Then said some of them of Jerusalem, “Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is.” Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, “Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me.” Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. And many of the people believed on him, and said, “When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done?”
S When you call upon the Christ within yourself, you will have doubts. You will expect those things you asked to be answered in your way, in your time, with your methods. And the personal greed that is your ego-centered mind will weigh and judge and find fault. For the Master of Life gave sight to the blind, lifted up the dead, cured the lepers, fed the weak and the poor, turned water into wine, walked upon the face of the deep, and in your minds you see these things for your- selves. But this we give to you: when you have the Christ at work within you, when God’s love pours through you, it is that greater thing that happens from you to others – the restoration of a soul, the cleansing of a karmic pattern, the lifting up to find in another that which is God. To open the eyes of those that are spiritually blind are the greater miracles than those that your mind would have them be. For man judges of his own self and would rather, you see, turn a heart to a lump of gold, rather than a lump of gold into a heart. For mankind is ever greedy, ever selfish, ever masterful in that which is concealing the spiritual, in their own desires. And yet, when He arises within you, you know whence He comes and who He is. And you, too, may become the vehicle that does the same for others. Then let this be your objective: to do those little things for others. For rather would Jesus the Christ see your helping hand to others, your loving thoughts, your patience, than your hand to go out and heal the leper or close the wounds. For love is an internal thing before it becomes manifested in the physical world. The physical world dominates mankind. It must be tempered, you see, by the spiritual world.
John 7:32-36
The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. Then said Jesus unto them, “Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. Ye shall seek me and shall not find me: and where I am thither ye cannot come.” Then said the Jews among themselves, “Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? Will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? What manner of saying is this that he said, ‘Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come?’”
S Jesus spoke here, you see, first of the mystical experience of joining into that which is the I AM. And those who seek God, but not in the proper manner, cannot reach to that which is the I AM. Though their hearts may be good, their intentions the best, they cannot reach the I AM unless they approach through meditation. Good works are not enough. And yet, good thoughts without the good works are nothing. Therefore, you begin with the thoughts, go to the works, thence to meditation. Jesus also spoke of that which none but Jesus the Christ is capable of, or has overcome for, or was created for. That is the experience, as given before, of His return into the awareness, the consciousness, the totality of the Creator, God the Father. And from thence He has come back to you to give you the abilities to raise above that which you are at this time, to what you really are at this time and do not know. In yourselves you send those problems, those ways, those habits, those selfishnesses (as of soldiers, priests, Pharisees) and yet, if you could, you would lock up God, throw away the key – especially if you could have God’s power to a degree. But this cannot be done, for God is God and you are yourselves. You cannot destroy yourselves. You may only alter that which is your physical-mental beings, even through that which is as the destruction of the body or the mind in an experience, but you return. Only God can absorb, change, or create.
John 7:37-43
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, ‘out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.’” (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, “Of a truth this is the Prophet.” Others said, “This is the Christ.” But some said, “Shall Christ come out of Galilee? Hath not the scripture said, ‘That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was?’” So there was a division among the people because of him.
S Ever are mankind’s thoughts guided by their own creative efforts, their own limitations, their own justifications, their own rationalities, their own laws. God’s law, God’s word, God’s love is not bound nor guided by mankind. It is endless, cannot be contained, overflows, nourishes and fills. Jesus was merely giving to a people that could not understand the Spirit (even as the people of today cannot understand the Spirit) and using Himself as that which they could focus upon for the miracle of life. He stands within you and next to you, waiting to be used, that the waters of life may be tapped. And yet, you cling to the preciousness of the physical body not even understanding why it is precious. It is a prison for you at this time. And yet, and yet, it is your future, your way, your opportunity, your love. Though you cannot be tied down by it, it will become more useful to you when you achieve. Therefore, seek to know that which is the face of God or the Spirit. Some begin to know it in one way and some in another, some through music, some through colors, some simply through the vibrations of love from others. In one way or another it meshes and becomes that which is in the truth. It is something to live by and for, to pray for, and to hope for. For, in truth, it is a promise. You will all know and see the face of God. You will all know and hear God’s voice, feel and know Him – when the time is ripe for the individuals. Therefore, Jesus the Christ, then, must manifest the more for you until that time. And when you can see into His eyes, and through His eyes, you will know that God is, Jesus is, and what the message is.
Q Didn’t the people know that Jesus was born in Bethlehem?
S Most did not know. Remember you didn’t have your TV programs, your radios, you telephones, your newspapers. And a babe borne in Bethlehem (even under the circumstances as were given) and remember, He was taken into hiding almost immediately; and remember, 33 years even today is a long time to wait.
Q Please clarify why it was necessary for Jesus to be glorified before the Holy Spirit could be given, as indicated in John 7:39 and John 16:7.
S For what is glorification but that which is the glory of God or that which is the working of God or God’s mercy or love. It, the glorification, must be the purification, or the truth made known.
Q Please discuss the movement of the Holy Spirit within each soul and its expression in the material.
S The movement and expression are the same, the very same, as that which is the most important thing in your universe, the electron–that which is found in all atoms or causes all atoms to have balance and force. Regardless of that of that which science would give it, it is the electron which controls and runs each atom. This is the same within selves, the use of the Holy Spirit. This is the Holy Spirit working within self at this time.
Q Please give a further explanation concerning the Holy Spirit.
S Much has been given on this subject before…through this Source in readings. We would first explain this as to the actual function of the Holy Spirit, somewhat as indicated before, and yet more. Whereas ye know there is the Father, that which created and is immobile, in peace, is the source of power and that which is the I AM or the God force within each and every individual; and that which is the Christ, or the perfect idea or ideal of each and every entity; that which is the spirit, too, or God in all things, or the action of God. But the Holy Spirit, as given, is God. This is God that can comprehend the fallacies, that which is of the illusionary and know it for what it is. For God the Father cannot comprehend that which is not truth. It is for the Holy Spirit then, to be that link between the Father, the Source of all power, the Creative Force, and that which is the Christ, the I AM, and the Spirit manifested in all things. Therefore, that which is the Holy Spirit is the action, or the word of God in action, the force of God in action, or action itself, or love. [10-24]
John 7:44-49
And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. Then came the officers to the chief priests and Pharisees; and they said unto them, “Why have ye not brought him?” The officers answered, “Never man spake like this man.” Then answered them the Pharisees, “Are ye also deceived? Have any of the rulers or of the Pharisees believed on him? But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed. “
S Interesting enough, those who were supposed to be the most spiritual could not receive Jesus. And those who were the simple people could receive Him, especially the simple people who were the soldiers trained to obey authority; inwardly and outwardly recognized authority of Jesus the Christ; knew intuitively that here was that which could not be denied, even though they knew the consequences for themselves in returning, in disobeying the orders. Interestingly enough (as we look at that scene) these were not the Roman soldiers, but these were the priestly soldiers hired by the temple and knew more of the temple, apparently, than their masters, the priests. There was some consternation among them on their return, you see, to the priests, for they feared they would be turned over to the Romans for punishment. And indeed, it was suggested, and the Romans merely sneered at this and kept their hands off. The Romans had little use, you see, for the priests or their temple guards, their personal bodyguards.
John 7:50-53
Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them.) “Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth?” They answered and said unto him, “Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet.” And every man went unto his own house.
S In the search within yourself you will run into that which is fair judgment or that which you call your consciousness. From that which are parts of your subconscious, and your conscious mind will come that which will tantalize, argue, and in its essence serve that which is to make stronger the judgment within yourself. And this is the part the will plays. For the will then directs that which is the mind towards its own understanding, then, by going into its place to contemplate, to assess, to make value judgments upon that which is presented physically, mentally, and spiritually to it, that it may then help that which is the intellect to assume its proper role in the development of the personality, or the true personality, and the finding of same within the individual.
