This document explores the spiritual practice of going within oneself, akin to entering a ‘closet’, to connect with and nurture the spirit. It discusses the importance of meditation and prayer, drawing parallels with biblical teachings, especially the teachings of Jesus Christ. The material offers guidance on how to engage in these practices effectively, emphasizing their role in spiritual growth and inner transformation.
Through prayer and meditation, we are admonished to invite Him in and awaken that which is dormant within selves.
Mark 8: 1-5
In those days the multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples unto him, and saith unto them, I have compassion on the multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: And if I send them away fasting to their own houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. And his disciples answered him, From whence can a man satisfy these men with bread here in the wilderness? And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
S Here is the guiding principle, the guiding light. For why three days? Even as this prepares mankind for that as even He went through, symbolic here of that which must be attained by the individuals before they, too, can raise themselves up through their efforts to meet that which is their God and ascend. They must be fed and must find in themselves their own multitude of beings, that which will provide the food of spirit, that which will raise within themselves, through the actions, through meditation, through prayer, the Light. Even as He fed, so let Him feed you, too. And through prayer and meditation invite Him in. Awaken that which is dormant within thyselves, that ye, too, may be as a salvation for a cosmos – which you in reality are.
Through prayer and meditation, we are guided to the unveiling of the Christ within
Luke 2: 8-10
And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
S Even as in those days, shepherd, or the shepherding of the ideas within self, is as the symbol of those who guard and guide the flocks, or that which cannot defend itself, that which is the feeding, or the feed, of the proper peoples. Even within self, the ways, the drives, the needs that are of the spiritual, are guided by that which is the shepherd within yourself. And that is prayer an d meditation to come to that which is the unveiling of the Christ within, even as those who were the shepherds at that time found, through their love of that which is nature, God in action, God in spirit, within themselves and in all things, and were true to their calling and sought not the wealth, the power that, to a degree, was available, were then led to that which was He, the Good Shepherd, as He came.
True knowledge must come from within, we must make the spiritual choice rather than the mental choice.
Luke 10: 8-9
And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.
When you have found a source of light, when you feel within yourself that you have found a path, a way, then feed from the knowledge therein. For this is the food that you as the worker, as the seeker, are worthy of. Even if it is not the highest that you may attain to, and in the long judgment you have made the wrong choice, there is the learning. But turn not back. For even those who go on the wrong path will receive the opportunities to change, to admit the wrongness of the choice. But it must come from within. The failing of the peoples is (even at the time of the Prince of Love within the earth as now) of making the mental choice rather than that which is the spiritual choice. How often, how often do we see and hear of those who convince themselves that they have found the way, that they know the truth and do not seek from within.
As we pray and meditate our centers are ever ready to be fed, as we prepare for the day of the Lord. To do this we must overcome desires of the mind and body and then God makes himself known to us.
Luke 12:37-38
Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
The servants, here, are your servants. These are the seven centers. These are that which is used by God as the path to feed you, to anoint you, to prepare you for the day of the Lord. Then work upon your centers. Bless your centers. Rejoice in your centers. For as you pray and meditate and develop at all times, your centers are ever ready. They sleep not but are forever aware and awake, as sentries, that they may trumpet the word, the coming of the Lord, and that in those times that you call upon God, the word will travel through that which is your endocrine system and awaken your entire being to the face, to the love of the Lord.
Entering into the closet in secret
Reading 10-28, Matthew 6:6-8
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
S Here is that which is the directive of going within into that place of silence, that which is meditation. But also warning that ye should ask God what is best for self, not tell God what is best for self. For He that answers thy prayers will answer them at times to that which is your own misdoing, if ye would so have it. For it is a learning situation, even in the prayer, even in that which is as meditation.
What is meant by “thy closet”?
S This is the inner self, the Holy of Holies. That which is shut off from the world, even as the closet in which hangs thy goodness, thy robes that are put upon self, making self even to that which is the spiritual.
Q Is there much value in meditation without prayer?
S. Meditation is valuable at all times, but so oft without prayer it is not meditation but contemplation. Contemplation has its points. For many it should be prayer, contemplation, and meditation.
Q About vain repetitions: this does not refer in any way to the affirmations that we use over and over, does it?
S If an affirmation becomes as even that which is given here, repetitious, where the mind does not dwell upon the thought, but gives only lip service, even if it is mental lip service, and the mind wanders or it is not focused upon what it is asking, it is vain repetition.
Q What does the shutting of the door to the closet symbolize?
S This is the silence, or the shutting out the world, the world of thought and self’s desire, into that which is the depth of self, or the I AM.
The yoke and burden through the Christ are made Light.
Matthew 11: 28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
S This, then, is the training, the succumbing to that which is as the search through meditation. For whom can be more humble and meek than those who truly approach God, open the closet, and find the path. For those who are high and haughty, do not kneel in the mind, or that which they would consider the spirit, to anything. Regardless of their outer showing, it is the inner that counts. Then, if ye would find God, and ye would walk with the Christ, accept His yoke. For that which is even as the yoke, or that which is symbolic of same, does not mean as an element that is carried by a beast of burden. No. But is that which is even as an aura symbol. For the yoke is U-shaped, even as the aura fits about the body. Then let His aura be your aura. For there is no burden in same. For ye have thrown aside the concept of burden – therefore no burden, therefore it is light.
The search within will mean old habits and thinking must be overcome with love, faith and patience.
Acts 6:7
And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.
S. Here is the search within yourself. Here is the meeting and the conversion of your thoughts and your activities. Here is even the line of warfare within yourself as you will see in the course of this reading. As you change your habits, your ways, your thinking, as you become one in the path of the Lord, so the obstacles will occur that are within you: obstinance, selfishness, foolishness, desire. These things must be met even as an enemy in battle and overcome by that which ye have been given before – love, gentleness, faith, patience, et cetera.
Meditation and the meeting of the Christ
Matthew 8: 1-4
When he was come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. And behold, there came a leper and worshiped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed. and Jesus saith unto him, Sec thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.
S Here you have that which is the description for each and every individual to behold within them (own) selves, the awakening (that which is as the truth, or that which is the totality) or that which is the speaking, the listening, the being fed by God, even as that which is in meditation, or the highest peak, or the mountain, returning through that which is the body, meeting that which is the destructive force or man’s destructive nature, that which is leper, see? Here you have the cure, if one would meet the Christ within. Even that which destroys the body, the mind, and cripples the soul, is cleansed, made whole, through that which is meditation, the meeting of the Christ and the faith shown here. Speak not of it to others but let them see it as it is in truth, within thy being, thy actions, the power of the soul that pours forth to those who would open their eyes, their ears to the truth of reality in reality.
Going to the mountain top within self and the 5000 nerve centers.
Matthew 14: 21-23
And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children. And straightway Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.
S This, then: as ye overcome that which is the body or the multitude of same, or the numbers which imply that which are (the serve) serving the nerve centers, or that which commands the body elements itself, even as represented here as the Christ going to that which is the mountain or the pinnacle. Then there, ye meet that which is God, the forces within, the forces without that become one, to adjust, to feed, to develop that which is the God that ye may give to others, or the using of same. In short, the development or the calling in of that which is the spirit of God within action – the Holy Spirit.
Q Would you amplify that regarding the number 5,000 as serving the nerve centers?
S As to the main flow of the impulses within the body, or more so that which is the flow of the electrical forces, the spiritual forces, that guide the body, that awakens the body, that is controlled more or less, then, to a degree by a spiritual-mental awakening within the body: there are 5,000 centers within the body. Many used by those who understand the flows of the magnetisms, or the electrical fields within the body, even as some would apply pressures or stimuli to these areas to overcome, or to arrest, or to throw out that which is as sickness within the body, disease, or those elements that distress an individual. Whether it be those who work with the feet, those who work with massage, those who work with needles, they work upon those centers. But rather it should be, that through the spiritual awakening and understanding, that there is an overcoming of that which separates from self the functions, that of the 5,000 centers, from the mental use of the body.
The mount symbolic of going into Meditation
Matthew 17:1 -3
And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
S This is as going into meditation and finding the mount. What He showed them is what happens within the individual in meditation. First you would find Moses which is as love, or that which is born of the waters of faith. Then you would have Elijah who is the spirit of God enlightened within the earth, the I AM force, to be exact in a guise here, talking with that which is the force of God within self, the truth of your being, your I AM. Elijah, the force without , Moses, the awakening force within self, and that which is the truth of thy being, the I AM, the transfiguration into that which is the triune of the body of each and every individual.
The mount is where we must raise ourselves up to find the divine love and may be purified of the earthly desires.
Matthew 26: 30-31
And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the Mount of Olives. Then saith Jesus unto them, “All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.”
S All of you must find the Olivet, even as they went and He took them to Olivet, the place where Mary of Olivet lived, or dwelled at that time, the Mount of Olives as you would call it. For that which is symbolized here is that ye, too, must raise yourself up, go to that place. And what is the olive but that which is ever the symbol of love. Much more the symbol than ye would use, at this time, of the heart. The symbol of love. Why is it the ripe olive is more of that which is beneficial to the body than the green? For the simple explanation: it has ripened to its fullest, even as love ripens to its fullest is that which is divine love. Therefore, even as He took them there, He knew, even as individuals must learn, though you raise to the which is the highest within self, when the negative forces of self strike, the good intentions, the good ways, the good habits are scattered. Over and over it has happened to the individuals until that time that they may purify themselves completely and no longer have that which are the earthly desires.
Meet him in that which is the mountain of self.
Matthew 28:4-7
And for fear of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, “Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.”
S Here, then, is to spread the word within yourself. This is making sure. This is believing. For belief spreads through the entire body when it is true belief. Where will you even as a disciple, even as an apostle, even as a true believer – meet Him? In that which is the Galilee of self, that which is the mountain of self, the force, the spiritual center of self, through meditation, where he will feed thee with the power that is represented here as Galilee.
Going to the mountain is likened to meditation, or the feeding of the spiritual force within.
Mark 6:45-46
And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people. And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
S Here is that which sends away the worldly thoughts, the worldly conditions, which goes beyond the physical and the mental, which puts aside even that which are the disciples, and tells them to go upon that which is trust in the sea of life and within the body. It is the action of going, you see, within yourself, as Jesus the Christ went up to the mountain. So, the mountain is representational of that which is meditation, or the feeding of the spiritual force within self through God Almighty; His arm, the Holy Spirit, in conjunction with the Christ awakening, or the Christ in action.
We must seek out that which is the First Cause, the Creative force, and Love within where the true Light and Peace abide.
Luke 21: 37-38
And in the daytime he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
S For that is the appearance for the physical-mental man, the temple; but the mount, the mount of Olives, is that which is going within, that which is the true communing with God. Therefore, just as He did, so must you do. You must appear before mankind in that in the understanding way, using the forms of the day for a forum, that you may reach out to mankind in their understanding. But then in an hour of rest, the hour of feeding of the body through the spiritual nature and cause, you must seek that which is the First Cause, the Creative Force, Love, in that which is the dark closet of self where the true Light abides, where the true Peace abides.
We must seek the mountain, the place where God is, in Meditation.
Genesis 19:17
And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, “Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed.”
S Guidance here is to go within, to seek the mountain, the place where God is that you, in meditation, may be shown the way and given rebirth. Look not to the past or that which is the physical world or the physical-mental past.
Going into the desert is when temptation is overcome with meditation.
Mark 1:12-13
And immediately the spirit driveth him into the wilderness. And he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of Satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.
S And this is that which are the temptations and the beasts of mind and body, that which is the confrontation between all the aspects that lie within self, all those forces that lie within self, all those forces that come from outside, all those aspects and forces of the world, world thought of others that you must overcome by raising up in self all the questions and then destroying the questions with that which is faith, love, joy, peace. This is as the step that goes into meditation that bring
Going into the desert likened to going to seek the Christ within that we may be cleansed and healed.
Mark 16: 33-34
And for fear of him the keepers did shake and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, “Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. “Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.”
S When you seek that which is the Christ, go to the desert place, even that which is the closet within, where all material things are put aside, all material considerations are put aside. For the desert, here, has the meaning of that which is a barren place – barren of that which is the physical, or the physical comforts, or the physical awareness. For there is no greenery, there is no shade, there is nothing to hide from that which is the sun (s-u-n, s-o-n). And the awareness must come to that which is even to the Shepherd as He comes forth to gather that which are the mental conditions, the thought patterns, the individual thoughts, that which are the forces of life within the body, and the forces of that which are as the physical, atomic conditions of the body, that He may lead, cleanse, heal, feed.
As we pray and meditate, we become an extension of Jesus Christ, we go to the upper room the meeting place of God, that area where our cup doth run over – the Pineal.
Luke 22: 7-13
Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the Passover must be killed. And he sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare us the Passover, that we may eat.” And they said unto him, “Where wilt thou that we prepare?” And he said unto them, “Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, ‘The Master saith unto thee, ‘Where is the guest chamber, where I shall eat the Passover with my disciples?’ And he shall show you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.” And they went and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the Passover.
S Even as the Passover occurred to Moses and the peoples of that land, so the Passover, in its way, must come to you. It is that which overcomes the trials and tribulations, the forces of this world. And as the Prince of Love directed here, search for that which is the Aquarian. For through the Aquarian, or that of the New Age to come, is that entry into the time of justification of your being. God has created; God has offered; God has given a passage and a way; God will direct, have no fear. For even as Jesus the Christ was directed to become that which is an extension of God at work, so you may become an extension of Jesus the Christ, who is the bearer of the New Age.
Q What is the city in this?
S The city represents Jerusalem, or that within your body where you must go through all the trials that are within you, facing yourself, to come to that which is the room, or that which is the meeting place of God, that you may face the Passover then. For remember, what is partaken in the Passover or that form which is bitterness, the bitterness of life. And yet, the bitterness of life leads to that which is the overcoming of those forces within yourself and of this world that have detained you from the path you have chosen.
Q Which spiritual center does this symbolize?
S Nominally this signifies that which is the pineal.
Q Is there any significance to the fact that the room was an upper room?
S This is the centers you find within yourself in the time of meditation and that which is the choice is to go up within yourself to that which is the area where your cup doth run over.
Meditation as going up into the upper room, and cleansing self of daily thoughts, waiting upon the spirit to arrive.
Acts 1: 13-14
And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James. These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brethren.
S You have a total here, including Mary, of that which represents the twelve cranial nerves and all of, then, those nerves and ganglia that become the mental, the cortex, the power, the retention, the use, that is the human thought pattern and that which guides and directs the body functions as well as the mental functions. You have the going up, then, which was understood at that time, thoroughly, by many people world-wide, into that area of the upper room or that which is the symbol of meditation, making selves holy, repentant, and cleansing self of the daily thoughts, trials and tribulations, waiting, even as you wait in meditation, for that which is the spirit to arrive, to be known.
