James 1: Path to Wisdom and Faith
Originally Matthew was published as a book and an introduction to RAM was placed at the beginning of the book.
We have chosen to place this Introduction at the beginning of the first chapter of each of the books of the Bible.
INTRODUCTION TO RAM
A motto for the group’s work was given by the Source as that which was embodied in the prayer that Jesus said as He walked the hills of Galilee, ”Others first, Father, others first.‘‘ This prayer is frequently given throughout the subsequent readings as a reminder of the true purpose of the work.
The group was given its name, and the meaning, as follows: ‘RAM, or RAM, is that which will be the working name for the group. That which is RAM is that which guides from the East. This is the word, the name of GOD. For you, or this group, better to use that which is RAM-RAM in the Hebrew tongue is the connotation or the meaning, to extol, to raise to the highest, even to an extent rejoice in the raising of same.“
It was later stated, ”It is not the Source of these readings, but the results of these readings that are RAM, for it is the exultation of God that which will raise up a people that will once again worship in cleanliness and love.”
WORDS OF ADVICE AND WARNING REGARDING THIS MATERIAL
The Source gave these words of advice, ‘Even material such as we give you must be weighed and evaluated within each and every individual as to the needs and processes that are necessary for the individual. For if ye are fed this and ye are not of this level, or ready for this level, then this is not the teacher and ye would be led astray.
For many are there who, in honesty and in truth, would hear these words, even as they heard the words of the Prince of Love, Jesus the Christ, who could not receive them, and used and fell back upon that which was correct for them, their religion of the time, even as now. And it was not sinful, nor wrong, nor misdoing upon their part, nor will it be upon the parts of those who cannot accept, cannot believe that which comes through this channel, through this group-for each has his place, his time, and his abilities.” And again, “If what is given here does not meet your ideal, it must be rejected.
Only if it gives to you the fruits of the spirit meeting your ideal are these readings, this Source, to be of influence or use to self. See?”
BUT . . . This was also given, “And when the entity sees the fruits-and where the fruits are good, let it be known that it is from the Source of Life Itself.”
Behold! The day of the Lord is at hand and ye shall carry His word across the land to those who would seek and know His way, His truth, His love.”

Ram Reading 10-145
Channel – Prayer
Lord, fill us with Thy strength. Teach us, Lord, to do those thing which we ought to do. Give us that which is the ability to follow Your word, to do Your work as You know is best for us. In Jesus Christ we ask this
Source
If you would have life, give life. If you would have love, give love. We would give you now the formula for that which is wisdom to be your guide, that you, too, may be as Solomon – an instrument of God in this plane. Wisdom is that which is the mingling of the intellect, or the intelligence (as you would have it), and purity. The greater the wisdom, the greater the purity. For it takes little intellect, little intelligence, but lots of purity. If you would be an instrument of the Lord, then purify thy thoughts, and from thoughts the actions will be purified also. For that which is the lesson tonight is that which requires wisdom. “Look not at me! Avert thy eyes! for I am the wrath. I am the destruction, and I am the judgment. I am the waters that destroyed the Pharaoh. I am the plague that chastised Europe. And I walked in Egypt and touched not that of the blood of the lamb. Look not at me for I hold the judgment and in my hands, I hold life and death. Then listen to that which is the word, which is life. For only mercy holds me in check. The shame of mankind is that they have ignored their God and have dealt with me. I walk as man. I walk as nature. I am that, that cleanses. Behold me not, for I am not angel nor am I man, but I am that which cometh from the Lord that ye may be made clean and none would have that which is I. Listen to the words that would lead you and them away from me. It is written in Ezekiel 44 that the sacrifice shall be a ram without spot, a ram without blemish, a ram that is perfect. Hear this that is given to you: the Ram is here. You must become without blemish that that which is mercy and life may prevail over that which is the judgment.
Prologue to the Book of James
Q Before we start this study of the general epistle of James could you clarify the authorship?
S This is James, known as James of Jerusalem. By your time written approximately 90 A.D.
Q Was he the brother of Jesus? James
S No.
Q How was this letter distributed?
S By many ways. It was written, this was written first in Hebrew, contrary to much else that was written in the Scriptures. For James of Jerusalem was, in fact, a pure Jew and follower of Jesus. It was passed by word of mouth, and it was translated into many tongues, many written forms before coming to you in the version that you have now. Essentially the thought is correct, though there have been changes in some of the verbiage here and there, but essentially it is correct.
Q The James discussed is not one of the apostles of Jesus?
S It is not one of the apostles of Jesus, not the son of Zebedee, nor James the Less.
Q Did James have any assistance in writing this or was he in an altered state at the time that it was written?
S James, first of all, was a pure Jew. James had the assistance of the Holy Spirit, that all have who do the Lord’s work. James followed that which was the law, tempered his thoughts by the understanding of the Christ and the Christ force. Therefore, James was a great vehicle for the Lord’s work, was prolific in his writings, though little remain intact for those to study today. James had inner guidance and outer guidance of the highest quality and esteem.
Q Was this the James who stood at the head of the church in Jerusalem after the dispersion of the…?
S This is correct. James of Jerusalem.
James 1:1-3
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
S As so often has been given, it is in the trying, in the attempt, that you are graded, that you are advanced. For those who face adversity, which temptation is, and fight in the Lord’s way, then are blessed by God, for their works are those that bring great joy to the Christ. James
Q Why did James not identify himself any further than as James a servant of God?
S James realized that titles, that personalities were not important. To be as a servant of God was important, is important. You have been given that life as you know it is illusion. Life as you know it has created the title or the titles, has given importance to names, and yet, the only name is the Name of Names and that is important.
Q Was he an Essene?
S No, but was familiar and accepted by the Essenes, respected by all orders which, in itself, was a phenomena at that time or any time in the case of Jewish history.
James 1:4
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
S Wisdom is the father of patience; faith is the mother of patience. If you would have patience, have faith, have wisdom, and always know that by the use it grows. Even as you use those things that are given you in other ways, through the use does the ability grow. And from all patience is the key that unlocks the door of love.
Q Are we told that Christ is the wisdom of God?
S This is correct. What greater purity can you have than the Christ?
James 1:5
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
S Within each lies the keys to the kingdom. Within each lies the perfection of God, the knowledge, the wisdom, the patience, the love, the gentleness. All these things that personify God have been given you from the day of creation. It is for you to find same, remembering to call upon the Lord in purity, in faith – gives you that opportunity, that ability to pull from self the gift that God has given you.
James 1:6-7
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. James
S A little faith most of you express in your lives. You rationalize, you ask, but how little faith you do show. You are as the one that wavers. For this is the wavering. Then strike out boldly in faith. Know the Lord in faith. Believe the Lord. That is faith. And when those trials and tribulations come your way, know that faith will make you whole. For the keys at this time to your advancement, as the many keys that you are given, always is faith. Therefore, use the spiritual hand to hold the keys that are given to you, the keys, as given, to the kingdom of God that lies within.
James 1:8-9
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted:
S Those people who do not assume the titles, that take not that – the power – or make the ego the center of their life, that realize that they are a gift of God to the world, that realize their own gift is life, that are humble in that which are their ways, not assuming the force, not assuming the wrath, freeing selves from anger, freeing self from envy, and finding gentleness, perseverance, love, to be the fruits of God’s gifts, these are those that walk God’s way.
James 1:10-11
But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
S This is wealth as seen through the earthly eyes. This is fame. This is power, power, earthly power. All of you have possessed power, earthly power, but all of you have possessed spiritual power, too, and have sat in those places to use one or the other, or both. Pull upon that which is the power from within to remember the spiritual worth of self. For the flower of this earth fades and dies away, it is true, but the spirit or the force or the reality of that flower lives forever. For God does not destroy the works of beauty. In that which is the earthly realm there is the altering of form, of vibration, what have you, but in that which is God’s realm above this, all that is beautiful and good, as God knows beauty and good to be, remains. The fading, the manifestation of fading, of destruction, of realignment, is for this plane and not that of the planes above.
James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
S What is love of the Lord but the sacrifice of the ego, the helping of others, regardless of that which is given back, seeking not rewards. To honor God, this is the love of the Lord.
Q What is the crown of life?
S The crown of life is Jesus the Christ, or self, christed, even by that which is the Holy Spirit.
James 1:13-14
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
S Temptation is created, or was created for man, by man, that there may be the learning in this plane and as so often been given to you, that without the negative the positive could not be understood. And since God knows not evil nor wrong, only knows perfection, God cannot know that which is less than perfection. This is why the destroyer was created. This is why there is a wrath of God. This is why the Judgment walks the land at those times as prescribed by the works of mankind.
Q Have the souls created this force [the Judgment]?
S They definitely have called for the creation of it and assisted in the creation of this force. Many worked in the fields that are beyond this realm to perfect or put together that which is the force or that which loosely would be called the entity of the judgment. You have read in the Scriptures of the judgment, always referred to as the judgment of God or the Lord. But, remember, this is a separate entity, as separate as can be from God, even as the angelic host are separate, and you, as a human, are separate.
Q Is it still part of the illusion?
S For God it is illusion. For you it is a fact. For those who have created it, it is a dread to be reconditioned into the illusion that there may be a return to the pure state that God has given you to be.
Q We have been told that we judge ourselves. Does that mean that this entity is also part of ourselves?
S Lies within you, but even as an entity, greater. For remember, Judgment has walked this earth in the form of armies, in the form of leaders, as well as those things of nature that you see as destructive forces. For it was Judgment that destroyed many times over the cities of Italy, the Middle East, Asia, the new world. For judgment can be the earthquake, can be the forest fire, can be the eruption of a volcano. It can be the plague or the lightning. It can be the instrument of mankind – the bomb, the knife, poison, the gun. Yes, it is part of self and part of all selves; and yes, it is an entity of its own self.
Q Is karma judgment?
S Not necessarily. For karma is rather that which you express when you do not meet the spiritual demands. It is your fight against the spirit or the spiritual path, not really judgment.
Q There are those that probably call this force the devil, that is demons. Is that correct?
S To some extent, but those people create demons and the devil. And remember, you have been given that which is the correct terminology which is the intellect misused.
Q The Hindus have Shiva the Destroyer. Is this what you’re talking about?
S This is a personification. But here again you have Shiva being as an aspect of God or the central God or that which is life. Whereas God the Creator did not create in this sense, but the creative force within mankind and those that do God’s work created that which is without soul, without form and yet with form, with home and without home, that has only the emotion, the emotion to obey and do and, as given before by the introduction, is held in check by the mercy and love that God has given for action within this realm.
James 1:15
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
S Thus are the misuse of the mind and the forces of the body put together. The sin, or the missing of the mark, here, is the bringing into action of this misuse of the mind and body forces. Thus, lust brought into this world the first sickness or illness, as you would say.
James 1:16 James
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
S To err is to use the opportunity not to its fullest. The error of the way is ignoring the guidance that comes from within in all your situations. Remember, if you are to train yourself properly, you would have at your beck and call, on the split second, the proper action, always, if you would learn to turn within correctly.
James 1:17-18
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
S Even as the fruits of the spirit are seen and are the judgment of the actions of individuals, so God’s action to you and to all the world can be seen in those things which are of love and mercy and tenderness. So often man is split, giving to the world only partially the gifts that were given to the individual to share. And unless you give all the gifts, you have given nothing.
James 1:19-20
Wherefore my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
S In short, judge not. For you have not the ability to judge. You are not the Judgment that walks. You have not received that place where you may look upon your actions and judge. Therefore, if God in Himself, in His creative ability, does not judge, how can you as the individual judge others or have the right to anger or force or whatever.
James 1:21
Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
S Once again you have the beck and call, faith and wisdom. So become that which is pure in your actions, that your mind and your actions may give you that which is the answer to all things and that your actions may rise as sweet incense before the feet, before the throne of God. If you would save others, become that which is as the Saviour Himself – purity in action. Begin with the simple and become that which is the magnificent.
James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. James
S Each of you here, within range of the word, have deceived yourselves over and over. To be a doer is to have faith, judging not, but letting love and the purity of God be the action, doubting not God, but having faith. Be the doer then. Begin with the small and, once again, build to that which is the magnificent.
James 1:23-24
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
S Read this. Take it into your heart and then think upon all that has been given you from this Source and others, in many ways, in many times. We have an awe for that which has been given to you and, yet, so often has been treated lightly or not at all. You have received the warning as to that which can walk this land and walk within you. Therefore, let not the Judgment walk within, but let the Christ walk within. Follow the Blueprint, follow Love.
James 1:25
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
S It is short and simple and true. If you would have the blessing, follow what you have been given.
James 1:26
If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
S Look about you. Vanity of religion is rampant, vandalizing that which is the true word and the true action. Be that which is careful in your selection of whom you would follow, listen to, or be as.
James 1:27
Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
S Being unspotted from the world is that which is the key or purity. Here, also, the meaning though of the orphaned or the fatherless and the widow has more meaning than just that. For the fatherless is that which represents those without God, and those that are without the Christ or the Christ understanding are the widows. Therefore, walk in purity. Being as Jesus the Christ in your actions toward your fellow man brings you to that which is the pure religion. Anything else that espouses more or less is not of that which is the true faith, the true religion. `Actions speak louder than words’ you have been told and yet purity is the greatest action of all. Therefore, seek purity and all will fall into place.

And now we have given that which is the lesson. We have given that which is the way and the means. You have been visited by others that have placed their seal upon you. Therefore, give thanks unto the Lord and walk in that which is faith, love. Become wise through the use of purity and that which God has given you as the mind or the intellect.
We give the love, the blessings of the Father, of the Son, of the Holy Spirit.
