John 12: Spiritual Significance of Jesus’ TriumphThe document provides an in-depth analysis of John Chapter 12 from the Bible,  focusing on its spiritual and metaphysical interpretations. It covers Jesus’ triumph and entry into Jerusalem, His interaction with the crowd and Pharisees, the anointing at Bethany, and His teachings about life, death, and service. The material explores themes such as divine purpose, the nature of true discipleship, and the spiritual significance of Jesus’ actions and words during this pivotal time.

John 12:1-8

Then Jesus six days before the Passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead. There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the table with him. Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment. Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, which should betray him, “Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?” This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and bare what was put therein. Then said Jesus, “Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this. For the poor always ye have with you; but me ye have not always.”

S Spikenard (or nard as it is called here) is that which represents the root of salvation or the effort that goes into it, here lavished upon that which is the Christ consciousness, or that which even in the physical at that time was the oil used upon the Jesus of Nazareth. You see those forces that do not truly adjust or believe in that which is the spiritual nature, then use the forces of reasoning to weaken positions of those, or those actions within yourself and from yourself, that are of the Christ consciousness, arguing for the mental-physical understanding or well-being, when, in essence, the physical and mental well-being on this planet or this plane is not of the essence, but rather that which leads to the release of the spiritual forces is of the essence. Therefore, watch out for that, that would steal of the riches bequeathed to it from the spiritual pursuit. For there are always those subtle forces that are at work even in those of high spiritual understanding. For remember, you are only human. And those around you, for the greater part, are only human too. Criticize them not, but criticize not yourself, but evaluate, realizing the temptations and those that are the oblique movements of temptation within the life, those subtle forces that push, pull, and manipulate that which are your tendencies to seek that which is the higher authority. Once again, evaluate yourselves, your motives. Be not harsh upon yourselves but be forgiving and understanding that you are here to learn that Christ came, was given to you to overcome. For those who have overcome need not the doctor, nor the medicine, but those that fall short [of] the glory of God need the light, the helping hand, the strength, the love. For in truth, Jesus came not to condemn, not to destroy, but to lift up, to light, to lift up, and lighten.

Q Is this a correct evaluation of the character of Judas Iscariot that he was a thief?

S Not so. The methods the entity was using were as a thief. The misdirected energies and idealism of that entity, through that entity’s own weakness, led that entity to be used, then. For anyone is a Judas that betrays that which is the trust of the soul force. And those acts that make the Master of Life cry out to each and every individual in sadness and shed the tear of frustration is an act of a Judas. And many of those that lead movements, or others, towards that which is the Light (in their own manner) often have the Christ shedding more tears than others who you would consider debasing themselves in their lifestyles.

Q Following up on what you were just saying before, we’ve been told that all work and no play makes for dullness. I’m wondering what kind of recreation is suitable for those who are on a spiritual path or who try to be on a spiritual path?

S That is a matter of selection for the individuals. Some find recreation in one manner, even as being quiet without any purpose; others in the physical efforts; some in traveling; others in the mental pursuits or combinations of same. Jesus, Himself, found it in those quiet moments, and loved that which is the walking and the strenuous movements. Often in the times of stress and sorrow that entity would construct things and fabricate things from wood, especially loved the olive wood and the imported sandalwood which was so much in favor and yet so expensive.

Q Could you give us further understanding on this statement: “for you have the poor always with you, but me you have not always”?

S The poor is within and without. Each entity that has not arisen is poor. If you do not know and are not aware of the glory of God, you are poor indeed. There is none, no, not one, that has more than a glimmer of the wonder, the authority, the power, the love of God. And He, the Light, knew the authority, the power, the glory, the wonder, the love of God, and therefore, through Him, shed to others an essence of this understanding. And yet, only through that which is the physical presence of Him could those at that time receive. But then on the assumption of that which is the understanding, you see, that He gave Himself for you, may then come that which is an understanding. For through that which was the crucifixion and the resurrection, as He gave, He is the resurrection, the Way, and the Life. Therefore, the Light will give to you the glory, the understanding of God.

Q Jesus didn’t condemn Judas even knowing what he was or criticize him. Is that a better attitude to have towards someone?

S This is correct. All fulfill that which is their purpose. And each purpose is there and those who are best suited or make themselves suited, rather, fit the pattern. Even as each individual here fills that which is the purpose, and because of their own selection of times, places, drives, and desires are in this room. So all individuals, even as Judas here, fulfill the purpose, fitting into that which is the jigsaw puzzle that mankind assembles before that which is the glory of God. Therefore, Jesus did not condemn the individual, but often condemned that which was the act, or those motivations behind the act – but never the soul force, never the individual.

John 12:9-13

Much people of the Jews therefore knew that he was there: and they came not for Jesus’ sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead. But the chief priests consulted that they might put Lazarus also to death; Because that by reason of him many of the Jews went away and believed on Jesus. On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, “Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.”

S Even as the olive leaf became the symbol of royalty among those people who were termed Gentiles, of the Greek, or others of later times, the Romans included, so the palm was as that those who would receive the royalty of God, must in themselves cry out Hosanna, or that which is the recognition of the will, the authority, the principle, the principles of God within life, and show within their actions, even as those who did then wave them, does not mean to flaunt them, but to show what you believe in. For in these times that press upon this world, an action of love, kindness, and faith, and mercy is as one extending the palm leaf, which was also the symbol of peace, you see, at that time, is needed in this world, your world, so constructed to assume the actions that you must learn from. In finding that which is acceptance of the will of God, the nature of God, you, too, then recognize that which is the force of God coming to the fore within yourselves.

And now we recognize that which is the voice, the force, the love of the Lamb in that which are the blessings of love, peace, and mercy, and the washing away of sins, and the opportunity given that you may adjust and overcome the world. We give that which is thanks, love and energy.

Prayer – Channel

Lord, we truly will sing of Thy mercy and Thy judgment, Thy love and forgiveness. And we will call upon that which is the Holy Comforter to guide us, to guard us, to channel us in the ways that you would have us, and to be receptive to Your word, to Your guidance. Oh Lord, we give ourselves to Thy presence that we may be of comfort to our brothers and our sisters.

It has been given if you would have love, give love. But what is love? Are you guided (as so many are) by that which is the vain attempt to build a world and be that which you are not, to conduct yourself for the ego and the ego world, or would you be that which would accept, then, the Word, the privilege of the Lord? If you would follow the ways and means as given, then you would adopt and adapt to those things which are given as the guiding light, the guiding way. First, you would accept and believe that God is. You would believe in the rewards of the Lord. You would believe and know in the power of the Christ that lies within, and that which is given by the Christ, that as you do to your fellow so you do to yourselves. And if you would have this and thus for yourself, then give the symbol to the people of that day. And same to others. Your purpose in life is to overcome that which is the material world. You cannot hide from it, but you must not be overpowered by it. What care you what the nations of the world do if you live in that which are the precepts, as has been given to you, of God? As you love, then you shall be loved. And yet, what is the love of man if it is not the image of the love of God? And know this: even if all mankind hate you, God loves you. Act, then, in the joy, the peace, the strength of that which is true. You should care not about your human condition, but the condition of the spirit within, the soul within, and the mind within. For on these three conditions do you graduate from that which is the earth plane. Physician, heal thyself! But the physician can only heal himself through that which is the strength, the glory of God. Diminish the ego and let that which is the glory of God burst forth as the rainbow after the storm.

John 12:14-19

And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written, Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt. These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him. The people therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, bare record. For this cause the people also met him, for that they heard that he had done this miracle. The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, “Perceive ye how ye prevail nothing? behold, the world is gone after him.”

S The Master of Life was also the master of wit. And in that which is the humor was pointing out that the Prince of Love and Truth and Light must ride upon that which is the worldly object, the ass, or the fool, and also was, though, showing that that which is untouched, or the colt that will grow up to be a bearer of burdens, is as the physical world learning to turn to that which is its own burden, or that which is the reconditioning and reawakening of the true reason for the conditions of the world and the worldly existence. Those that were the disciples were enlightened to the fact that the Master of creation came back into the creation to show the way, to bear the burden of the physical redemption, to open the floodgate of love, to unbar that which was the door to freedom, but also then showed, you see, that each must bear the burden of going before the world alone. Even as He, the Master, bore the burden alone, and yet with the glory of God, so that the aloneness was of the physical man, but the spiritual soul-man wore garlands of angels and was in commune with that which is the spirit of holiness.

John 12:20-23

And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, “Sir, we would see Jesus.” Philip cometh and telleth Andrew: and again, Andrew and Philip tell Jesus. And Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.”

S Do not be disturbed as we give that the glorification He spoke of was not that of Golgotha, not that of the cross, but the glorification occurs even within yourselves as it occurred in reality then. For He was recognized beyond that which was the Hebraic, but by the world itself, the Gentile. And as in yourselves, those centers inform the throne of God, the place of the meeting of the Christ, that your very existence, your Gentile mind, accepts, receives, and calls forth for the meeting of the Master of Love. Then that which is the glorification, that which is the appointed time has come within. Therefore, first seek within yourselves through that which is the peace, the love, the prosperity of the seeking, the knowledge that God is – leads to all that is in place, or the perfection of that which is the spiritual rendition of that which is the song of the spheres that is sung as each and every entity reaches that point of receiving God. You do not receive God by walking before a congregation. You do not receive God in the form of the paten. You do not receive God in the form of wine. You do not receive God in the laying on of hands. You receive God by opening self to the belief, the belief that God is, was, and ever has been, is the loving Creator, and that the Holy Comforter is that which gives you the way to God.

Q Is there any significance, special significance, in the Gentile coming to Philip and then Philip going to Andrew and then the two of them going to Jesus?

S This is that which are the body conditions as met by that which are the mental conditions going through that which are the higher centers – love – to that which is the throne of God in selves in meditation, with the true thought in self, you see. Andrew, the acceptance, receiving of the belief, the fact, the law, that God is. How few really believe and accept. So many think they do, but so few do. Philip is that which controls the lower centers, for Philip is the horseman. Philip, in this case, is the master of that which are those lower centers, which are those centers that often tear asunder even the most noble being.

Q There is apparently a contradiction to our conscious minds that may affect people that are reading this later. In Matthew and in John you have an entirely different presentation of how Andrew found Jesus. In one case he was a disciple of John at the crossing of the Jordan, and the other he’s mending his net on the shore at Capernaum. Can you explain – there’s obviously a reason, but what is the contradiction – why?

S You have first the gospel for the physical man. You have second the gospel for the mental man. And then you have John, that which is the gospel for the spiritual man. Each has their place, their meaning. All that wrote these down were aware of the truth. But what is the truth? For each presentation there is a reason. For each reason there is a condition. For each condition there is a level that the initiate must go through. And the gospel, as given in each case, is truth. For the conditions dictate the truth. And as you pass John you will find in that which is the Revelations, the book is opened to the conditions that lie beyond this sphere, this plane, and the methods, the formulae to opening up the door of heaven and hell, and all creation. That is why when we have finished that which is the giving of John and explaining the Apocrypha and how it is to be received (which is short in your conditions) we will give you that which is the key to heaven, the key to hell. But mark you this: it is a key to one or the other. Use it right and you have heaven. Ignore it and you have then opened that which are the gates of hell. Make certain, at that time, you are reading for the conditions and the Word, and the Way, and the Light, and that you really believe. For this is that which has been given, given and questioned so often, that the only true sin is against that which is the Holy Spirit. For that which is Revelation is the Holy Spirit. It is not essence, it is word-by-word the Holy Spirit. And unless you are ready, you should not delve into same.

Q What is the difference between the Holy Spirit and the Holy Comforter, or are they one and the same?

S The Holy Comforter is that which you would know as the Christ inter-woven throughout that which is the existence of mankind, brought into being in the totality for mankind by Jesus of Nazareth, who then, and was before, and at the time of acceptance, the Christ. For even as He gave, “I will give you that which would take my place, I give you the Holy Comforter,” was removing the personality (as man knows personality to be) and becoming that which is the salvation, the God action, the pureness of the Christ. But God acting as God the Creative Father, not in the silence, not in the peace, not in the unmoving but the moving, is the Holy Spirit. All are one and yet separate. Make no mistake about the authority, the power of each – interwoven and yet separate. For it is the Holy Spirit that commands all things, can end all things, and begin all things, and yet is shackled to and part of that which is the Christ, which, when you call upon, will answer, not, however, so often in the manner you would assume but in the manner that is of the Christ or perfection.

Q Is it true that when Jesus the Christ gave us the Holy Comforter, He made it possible for each of us to link together the Christ within and the Holy Spirit in order to act as God? Would you explain?

S First, mankind was linked by the physical laws. Then mankind was linked by the mental laws or those which govern the mentality. But then came that which is the touching of the spirit. You may see it as if you were looking down at a coliseum and could see tiers of walls going up, or tiers of bleachers going up, one ring after the other getting higher and higher towards that which is the spiritual nature. The spiritual nature is that which you might see as a tent, apex in that which is the God Force, or that which is the Holy Spirit at work, flowing down, encasing and touching all who become the walls, the roof of the tent. The tent cannot exist without walls, without a roof, or without an apex. This is that which ye have asked. [10-106]

Q What is the reason that a person could believe that they believe in God and not really? I find that very disturbing.

S They believe in the mental God; they have not taken God into the depth of their being; they have not opened the centers. But God is a theoretical, or a mental-imaged thing. Though they profess it and outwardly they believe it, inwardly they do not believe it. For the acceptance of God is tissue-by-tissue, cell-by-cell, atom-by-atom, vibration-by-vibration. Your soul knows when you have accepted, your centers know, and best of all, God knows, too. Make no mistake: though God is unaware of that which is the sinful, the missing of the mark, the illusionary, the Christ understands, knows, feels, and receives. And as you do that which is unjust against yourselves, your fellowmen, and live in the illusion to its fullest, you injure, you hurt that which is the Christ. Make no mistake: Christ has feelings; Christ has awareness; Christ has the realization. The Holy Spirit has redemption, resurrection, joy, fullness, creation.

John 12:24-28

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal. If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. Father, glorify thy name.’ ” Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

S You have just read your own self, the selves of each and every individual. For if you would find God, you would give up your life, meaning you would turn to God. It does not mean you would cast aside that which is the living but cast aside the dead. For the illusion is the dead and if you live without God in your days, then you are, in reality, living the death of night. It is your soul calling forth that is given here, calling forth to your mental being (which controls your body, your processes) to turn to that which is God. How little it takes to do this if you would only understand your own being. It does not mean that you give up the eating, the working, the living from day-to-day. It is the manner that you live, and eat, and go about the daily routines. It is the acceptance of God as the force, or the goal, rather than the dollars, the clothing, the riches, what have you. It is turning to the Way, the Path, and the means. This is what He, Jesus of Nazareth, was giving at that time. It is that which is the paean of your soul. Hark to it. Listen to that still, small voice that would give you the guidance, the help. For if you believed, if you really believed, the Christ speaks to you continually, gives you the messages, even as this message is being given, even as that which is the channel, here, is directed, so you are directed. Just believe, act, and know.

John 12:29-33

The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, “An angel spake to him.” Jesus answered and said, “This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” This he said, signifying what death he should die.

S The beauty of this statement lies within yourselves, too. For that which is the Christ draws all – the individual as you know yourselves to be, that which is your very being, and this which are the aspects of your being. For if you would succeed in this world, you lift up all that is yourself here, there, and everywhere. Strive to save – not for your own good, or even the others, but to show yourself approved by that which is God. For as you lift yourself up, you lift your fellow being. For it is the service to others, the forgiveness of others, the patience with others, that is the seeking, that is the asking, that is the knocking, that opens the door that He may take your soul, your spirit and lift them up, and so doing unite you with that which are the fractures of yourself, that which are the facets of yourselves, that you may become one from a multiplicity, one in God, one in the Christ, one in yourselves.

John 12:34-36

The people answered him, “We have heard out of the law that Christ abideth for ever: and how sayest thou, The Son of man must be lifted up? who is this Son of man?” Then Jesus said unto them, “Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light.” These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

S And the darkness comprehended it not. It’s so true and it’s so easily done within yourselves that the whims, the fancies, the fantasies, the desires, overcome that which is the light within yourselves [so] that in the daily existence the excuses pile forth and then the reasons become great stones to fall over, or to bar the way. Rationale becomes that which is tomorrow or later, and yet the Light is the light that floods the body through that which is the pituitary as awakened, and the hurdles become nonexistent, the barriers are smoothed, though to others you may stumble and fall, or seem wayward, or strange, or physically and/or mentally unkept, unanswered, unhealthy. It is the condition of seeking the Light; it is the condition of knowing the Way; it is the condition of believing that counts. For the truth is, most of those that have become enlightened have appeared mentally and physically to have malfunctions, as mankind sees them to be. For that which is functioning is beyond that of the ego. And as has been given, if you would seek to orient yourself to that which is the ego-centered world, and build yourself to the ego-centered world, to the ego-centered world you may become a beautiful thing. But God the Father-Mother does not recognize the ego of mankind. For it is illusion. The Christ may see it and deplore it and the Holy Spirit may change it. But you are the determining factor. Wherein is your treasure? What is your treasure? What is your God? This is the criteria. As has been given, it is in the believing, convincing the entire system of self, that God is, is the ultimate for the individual that seeks success.

Q What was the understanding of the people of that day for the terminology the Christ? They were looking for the Messiah. Were they synonymous or what was their understanding?

S They were not synonymous as you would often hear them to be. The Messiah was believed to be a Christ-like person with the authority of God behind him, that would lead Israel to throwing out the Gentile and, in a matter, of course subjecting the Gentile to the iron hand of that which you would see today as Zion. Wherein that which is the Christ became a new thing to the people of that time, as Jesus preached the Christ, which was then the kingdom of God within, linking all together into the oneness of God. Those who listened to that which were the lessons as given by Jesus of Nazareth were familiar, you see, with the inner being and the outer being, and even those who were less informed were aware of that which you would term as the mystical being or the mystical self. For this was a widespread concept and understanding in that day, thoroughly thrashed at and held down from the time of Jesus’ resurrection by those in authority within that which was Israel. For to recognize that which is the teaching of the Christ would then force the recognition of Jesus and the resurrection. Therefore, became as that which was a no-no to those diehards of the Hebraic faith. Also, you see though, became an ignored thing in that which was termed, so loosely, as Christianity for the various reasons.

John 12:37-41

But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, “Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?” Therefore, they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, “He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.” These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

S This is the enlightening which means that time ceases to exist as mankind would perceive it to be, and that which is the truth of time as it truly exists becomes known to the individual who participates in that which is the reception of same – namely that time is all one, convoluted in upon itself, spiraling ever to that which is the center, or God, back and forth, intertwined until it is non- existent, but only as that which is present. Then that one, Isaiah, saw then that which was going on and could prophesy to that which are the truths because the truths were happening at that time, and Isaiah had bridged the gap which is the ignorance of man, or the necessity for man to know time as it is created for that which is man’s purpose within that which is the world, or the material worlds or universes, cosmos, et cetera.

John 12:42-46

Nevertheless, among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue: For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Jesus cried and said, “He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.”

S You have that which occurs in the person who extols God, reveres God, but only in that which is the mental man rather than the mental- spiritual-soul man. These are those that would honor mankind, or see God as a servant of man, that to be given lip service as long as the glory is theirs and the profits are theirs. They that receive God, receive the Light totally, need not that which are the measures of mankind. This is the Christ crying with you that you will accept, know, receive the Light, that you may be bathed in the Light, cleansed by the Light, receive the Light, and be of the Light. For He came to this world to give the physically oriented, ego-centered man the vision and the key to the soul.

Q In Philippians 2:10-11, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things in earth and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Would you please clarify the deification and Lordship of Jesus Christ through those verses?

S Even as He became Christed in the act of crucifixion, the total resignation of self to true Self became one with God; therefore, Jesus the Christ as the Holy Spirit, which is God, becomes One. Therefore, even as He gave when He was in the spirit, and in the flesh, “If ye have seen me, ye have seen the Father.” He is one with the Father; He is God. Not Jesus the man, but Jesus the Christ, the Spirit Christed in action, in conjunction with the Holy Spirit–being one. [10-9]

John 12:47-50

“And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.”

S You have this day the choice of life or death. Jesus is the Way. The Christ is the Life. And death is that which declares that neither is acceptable. The weight of judgment is upon the individual for the Word is life and light, love and forgiveness. They are ever present to be accepted. It is for the individual at that time of judgment that the mantle will fall in place, or the shepherd’s crook will save. If the mantle of judgment comes on that which are the shoulders physically, mentally, and spiritually, of an individual who has turned aside that which is the wheel will begin again. But for those who have awakened and struggle towards that which is the Light, the judgment will be in favor of the shepherd’s crook which will pull you from that which is the abyss, the pit, and bring you forth in the Light. For each and every individual has seen the Light, has had the glimpses of heaven in those sojourns in other places and times, in other planes. Therefore, open up your hearts, and even as that song that is sung is true, “Let that which is the sun shine in” (s-o-n shine in), that your hearts may be made clean, your eyes may be opened, that love will lift you forth that you may glorify that which is your Father in heaven, that the Light will overcome the darkness, and the world shall be redeemed through that which is the decision to believe in that which is God.

And now we give that which is the love, the blessing, and the light of the resurrection, lifting up that which is your being that the blessings of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit may be upon each and every individual. Love, forgiveness, and mercy are your lot.
