Luke 19: Zacchaeus' Change and Parables of StewardshipThis document provides a detailed analysis of Luke Chapter 19 from the Bible, focusing on its spiritual and metaphysical interpretations. It covers Zacchaeus’ Change and Parables of Stewardship, the story of Zacchaeus, the parable of the ten minas, and Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, exploring themes such as spiritual transformation, the use of talents and resources, and the recognition of Jesus’ spiritual authority. The material delves into the deeper meanings behind these events and teachings, emphasizing the journey towards spiritual enlightenment and fulfillment.

Luke 19:1

And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

S Jesus, on the way to that which is Jerusalem, or that which is the spiritual center of self, or even in the physical nature, was the spiritual center for those believing in the one God of that time, that place, had to master that which was the intellect. Jericho is that which is the intellect – not the selfish, egotistical, self-satisfying intellect that is so often condemned in these readings. It is that intellect used in search for the spiritual nature. It is that which even represents, you see, as Jericho physically represented the moon or the moon phase of man’s understanding (which in itself is a reflection of the sun, you see). That which, then, is used, even as the reflection to light the darkness, to light that which is the intellectual or mind ignorance, or darkness. Jesus, passing through same, you must pass through same. There are among you now those who are progressing so. Yet there is that within each and every individual here, that which is the anchor that holds self back through the intellect.

Luke 19:2-7

And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, “Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.” And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, “That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.”

S Zacci (as the true pronunciation is), is that that represents the smallness of the individual, and yet the smallness of the individual awakened; climbed not that which was the sycamore tree but that which was the fig tree, being that which represents the fruit of the spirit, that which feeds the soul. It is for you to do in your various ways, your various means. It is pointing out, here, that you, as an individual, may come forth, may pass the throngs, may climb through that which is the understanding and the seeking. Remember, as we have so often given, it is in the seeking that you overcome, not in the findings, in the seeking.

Luke 19:8-10

And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” And Jesus said unto him, “This day is salvation come to this house, for so much as he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

S Abraham is that which is the first movement or awareness of God. It is that which fathers the entire path towards that which is the rebirth of God within man’s awareness and, hence, man’s re-emergence in God’s view and understanding. For God cannot understand nor know that which is of the negative – which is mankind. Therefore, here you have: that when comes that which is the cleansing not only of that which is the physical, as given in the sacrifice to the poor, but the redoing, the rethought (even as expressed to that which is to the four times the undoing) is by that which are good works, good thoughts, love and mercy. This then opens the path, and you have become at that point, even to the steps of that which is the understanding of the proper place and use of the intellect, which as given before is Jericho.

Luke 19:11

And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear,

S Jesus, at that time, being one step from that which is total absorption by that which are the spiritual center of Himself; and keeping Himself aloof from it, that He could do that which He had come to do, even as you can, or will have the opportunity when the awareness and the time comes to continue to feed the people, to show them the Path, until that time of fulfillment of your commitment. Though He, Jesus of Nazareth, at that time, could have bypassed the commitment and taken that step and been absorbed within that which is the spiritual center of Himself. And then, even though physically present, would have not had that which is the learning experience of the physical-mental destruction of the ego as met at Calvary, you see.

Luke 19:12-27

He said therefore, “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, ‘Occupy till I come.’ But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, ‘We will not have this man to reign over us.’ And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. Then came the first, saying, ‘Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.’ And he said unto him, ‘Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.’ And the second came, saying, ‘Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.’ And he said likewise to him, ‘Be thou also over five cities.’ And another came, saying, ‘Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.’ And he saith unto him, ‘Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?, And he said unto them that stood by, ‘Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.’ (And they said unto him, ‘Lord, he hath ten pounds.’) For I say unto you, ‘That unto everyone which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.’ ”

S You have here the instructions when the opportunities and abilities are given to self, that you must use them, in the manner as prescribed earlier in this reading, to do that which is the Lord’s way, whether it be in time, or monies, or what have you. And there should be the clarification in here, for in typical human malfunction of understanding you have that which goes from one pound to ten pounds, rewarded by apparently a governorship, or a kingdom of ten cities or five cities, when, in reality, what is given here is a reward of talents – talents being the greatest money of the time, and used over a great part of the world, at that time, being at of the time, and used over a great part of the world, at that time, being at various times from a hundred times to a thousand times that of what would be used as (and mislabeled here) as pound, missing that which is the understanding. For that which you have gained for God through your actions will not be rewarded by a simple giving of an equal amount, or a doubling, or what have you, but by fabulous returns that you cannot as a servant understand. For what you give, in truth, of that which is not even yours to give and use correctly, but is lent to you, for each one you may receive a thousand or more times the reward. Can you understand what this means? That for one kindness, a smile, a thousand returns. For one use correctly of the intellect, a thousand times more ability with the intellect in another plane. And can you understand those that turn aside from God are slain, not physically, oh no, but rather returned to the physical. And isn’t this the slaying of the soul, in essence? Then what would you have? Would you take the little that has been given to you and not use it? The little given to you and expanded a thousand or more times, or would you return to the body and the destruction of that which is your soul, imprisoned within the walls of flesh and karma? What would you do? You have the choice; you make the choice each day, each hour, each thought, each action. Weigh it carefully. For the opportunity is here; the choice is yours and yours alone. The reward is yours, or the opposite is yours.

Luke 19:28-36

And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem. And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, Saying, “Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, ‘Because the Lord hath need of him.’ ” And they that were sent went their way and found even as he had said unto them. And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them. “Why loose ye the colt?” And they said, “The Lord hath need of him.” And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon. And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

S You have that, then, the development here, as Jesus proceeds through that which are the joy and the awakening, the spiritual knowledge of this world, to that which is the casting off of sorrows, to that which is the mount of Olives, which here is the goodness of the Lord, the feeding of thy God, the true knowledge of the spiritual forces from within and without. It is the goodness, the place of understanding. Jesus, then at that time (as you must), calls for that which is not touched by man. The young colt, you see, unridden by mankind, responds to the spirit. For man is the questioner, and the questioner is put aside by that which is the need of the spiritual force to go forth. And then mankind, those aware, casting aside that which is the materialistic symbol of this world before the feet of that which is the beast, or the way, or the transporting, or the moving of (which is representational of the body here, you see) of the spiritual force of that which is the release of the understanding, the knowledge, and the use of wisdom, which is unstoppable and is the spiritual force going out into the world to the appointed meeting place that God and self have come to appoint for the overcoming of that which is this world.

Luke 19:37-40

And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, “Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.” And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, “Master, rebuke thy disciples.” And he answered and said unto them, “I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”

S Even in this last-ditch time, mankind’s conformity to mankind’s judgments and the ego, and the ego representation of mankind and the material man, the intellectually misused man, calls forth, rationalizes, does this and that to prevent, if it could, that which is the spiritual awakening and abundance – its death rattle. For you see, once the spirit is truly awakened, it is then released, and cannot be held back by mankind or the nonexistent illusion, or the illusions of mankind. For the ego does not exist; mankind does not exist; for it is illusion. Therefore, that which does not exist, or is the illusion, cannot stop that which is truth, that which is the true state or being, the spirit.

Luke 19:41-44

And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, “If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.”

S Even the spiritual centers of self are under that which is the attack of world, world thought, egotism, selfishness. For though they are without, they are within also. They are constructed in your thoughts, in your actions, and that which you accept from your neighbors and others that come into your lives. Even the center of self, that is the spiritual center of yourself, does not know the Christ to the truth, or the Holy Spirit to the truth. For if it did, you would have been released by now. You would not have earned your way; you would not have learned the lesson; but you would have been released. Therefore, in God’s understanding and mercy towards you, you have been allowed to put the illusion between that which is the truth and the spiritual center of yourself. In those times of meditation when you go within, God comes to you in the form of the Christ Force, feeding you, expanding, throwing down those barriers put between that which is the understanding in the spiritual center of yourself, your soul force, and the Christ. There will come a time when we will expound upon this the more, for it is an understanding and concept that you are not fully aware of at this time, the ramifications and the meaning of same.

Q Previously we were given, “There will come a time when we will expound upon this (the Holy Spirit in self)” May we be given more at this time?

S The Holy Spirit or the movement of God or God that is, that has given birth to that which is the Christ Force, the link between the Christ Force and the Creative Force. It is the hand extended across the table to mankind. It is that which gives you the faith and goes within, raising up then that which is the Christ Force or the I AM within the individual entity. It is that which awakens the soul force; it cleanses the mind and rebuilds the body. It, in truth, is as that which is the Father-Mother. It is that which is the Light. You know it as the Creative Force, on the one hand, and the Christ Force, on the other. It is the spirit that moves the heavens; it is the spirit that has given you life; it is the force of God in all things. It is life.

Q Please explain more about the baptism of the Holy Spirit as mentioned in Acts 1:5.

S The baptism of the Holy Spirit, as given in Acts, is simply the awakening of the soul to the force of the mind power, allowing it to react and grow to the I AM that lies within. Make no mistake: the mind has an effect upon the soul for it feeds the soul. The mind does not activate or influence the I AM. The I AM is the God Force that is the spiritual force or the spirit within the entity. It is known to you, in its active phase, as the Christ Force. The baptism here represents a triune or that which is the triad of mind–cleansed and focused then upon the spiritual being, awakening in the soul its destiny, which then is achieved through the I AM within the body force. The I AM, the soul, and the mind are as individual points or entities within the entity or the individual, as each of you are individuals here.

Q What role does faith play in that?

S Faith is that which opens the way. Fate is that which you must achieve because you are a child of God. They become one and the same, faith and fate.

Q How does the Comforter that Jesus left add to the Holy Spirit?

S The Comforter, as given before, is that which is the Chris or the Christ within you awakened. For the Christ has ever been and yet not been with mankind. Though the I AM was here, it was not the Christ Force but only that which is the God working, not fully developed as that which is the Christ within you. It takes that which is the Holy Spirit to awaken the Comforter. This Jesus the Christ did by becoming christed., pulling that which is the spirit of God, the Holy Spirit, into Himself by His sacrifice of that which was the ego put in place, the mind put in place and the physical body in its place. [10-131]

Luke 19:45-48

And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought; Saying unto them, “It is written, My house is the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.” And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him and could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

S When you have that which is as termed the “spiritual awakening,” you will go within your temple, casting out that which is the residue, the karmic, that which are the ill-conceived thoughts, that which are the patterns, the habits that are negative. And, of course, you will meet your own self which will try to find a way to stop that which is the spiritual force at work. But once the spiritual force is at work, you nor any force can stop that which is God in action.
