This document is a spiritual and metaphysical analysis of the sixth chapter of the Gospel of Luke. It includes interpretations of the chapter’s teachings, spiritual interpretation and life lessons focusing on their deeper symbolic meanings and relevance to personal spiritual growth and enlightenment. The material explores themes like faith, spiritual awakening, and the application of Christ’s teachings in daily life.
Luke 6:1-3
And it came to pass on the second Sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands. And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, “Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath days?” And Jesus answering them said, “Have ye not read so much as this, what David did, when himself was an hungered, and they which were with him;”
S You have heard that which is “love conquers all” : Jesus pointing this out. Love knows no bounds, whether it be man love or Christ love. And if man love knows no bounds, how boundless is God’s Christ love awakened? For you will doubt within yourselves, even as your neighbors doubt you. Have faith, have joy, yes, rejoice within selves. For you have been given that opportunity through the Prince of Love to taste that which is the bounty of God, even as they tasted that in the fields called corn, known to you as wheat.
Luke 6:4-5
“How he went into the house of God, and did take and eat the shewbread, and gave also to them that were with him; which it is not lawful to eat but for the priests alone?” And he said unto them, “That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.”
S God is the conqueror of all things. Laws are made for men by men. Time is a law for man. Words are a law for man. But the spiritual casts aside all of man’s laws, even those ordained for man. For once the spirit is truly awakened the laws, even given by the High to this plane, are no longer needed and therefore do not exist.
Luke 6:6-8
And it came to pass also on another sabbath, that he entered into the synagogue and taught: and there was a man whose right hand was withered. And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they might find an accusation against him. But he knew their thoughts and said to the man which had the withered hand. “Rise up and stand forth in the midst.” And he arose and stood forth.
.
S This is more representative here, you see, of that which is the church or the religious activities of the day, that which was the system. For the right hand, you see, the right arm, was that which is the spiritual arm, the spiritual force being withered, being that which was useless, and held and watched by that which were the Pharisees, the priests, binding the growth of that which was the spirit of God within this earth. And He, Jesus the Christ, had the power and the glory to make whole that which was the force of God within the temple, within that which is the synagogue, which was then that Israel, and yes, was watched. For the priests knew from that which were the secret and sacred writings, and even many of the Pharisees did know, that if He rejuvenated that which was the religious arm of Israel, or Israel itself, He was truly the Messiah. And woe to them, for they knew and feared. For in their hearts they were aware of themselves.
Luke 6:9-11
Then said Jesus unto them, “I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?” And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, “Stretch forth thy hand.” And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other. And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.
S Even though they knew or recognized what had been done, and self will be in the same position, you see, whether it be in the awareness or through the subconscious, there will be the knowledge that one must meet what one has sown. And there will be a loss of power and authority, even as those knew same and did not recognize the reality but had spun that which was the nonreality and thought (as men will think) that they could treat Jesus as a man who did not have God. For they truly had no understanding of the force of God.
Luke 6:12-13
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God. And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles;
S Here you have going through that which is the doubting, going through that which is as the developing, which is the night, where men feel they are not with God, to that which is the awakening, the dawning, the light. And thence will come the call to that which is within yourselves. First, through the neural alignment of twelve, through that which is together (is three), Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to make a oneness through the triad, that then you may be set free and assume the mantle, even as He, Jesus assumed the mantle of leader first for your body, your mind, and then your soul, thence to others, that by your works they may know that God operates through you daily. Be aware, even as you train yourself, there will come the day or the dawning when no training is needed, no direction is needed, for God will operate and God will do. And you, in so many words, will be along for the ride, the vessel to be used, the lantern to light a way. Therefore, rejoice and cast aside (now you) that which is the motto of this country, this nation, yes, this world, which now is even that of the accursed city, buried by heat and fumes in Italy – “Salva lucreum ” [“Hail money” or “Hail profit”]. And make your motto be that, when asked: “I go with God”. And when you are asked, “Quo modo, quo vadis?” [How and where are you going?], answer to yourself, to the world, “In Jesu Christo”.

And now as we have the time of parting, we give that which is the love, the blessing, the peace. For the hour has come for the personal awakening. Do not shy from the world but be in Deus. For in that which is peace comes that which is life. The blessing of love, of the Lamb, be upon you.

Beloved Lord, we acknowledge that we are Thy children and that You are our Hope, our Glory, our Love and our Blessing. Be with us now, Father, as we seek to find the Way, to hear the knowledge, to see the Light and find the Path. We ask that our Elder Brother, Jesus the Christ, be our Guide, our Mentor.

Behold the Lamb! Behold Him that has broken the wheel, that has awakened the souls, that gives forth the light, that is the Door, that is the Way, the Truth, the Life, and the Light. Recognize that which is love. For whom but He that is the Master of Life knows the truth of love? Which among you have explored that which is the meaning of love? Which knows the experience that is found in the love of God, the love of Life, of Truth, of Light? Then behold that which is the Key and that which is the Knowledge, and that which is the Mercy and the Wisdom. For even as the fruit tree bears fruit, so your actions and your seeking harvest the fruit. So let your actions be the actions of love, yes, the seeking, that the harvest may be of gold – gold for the soul, yes, for the mind and the body.
Luke 6:14-16
Simon, (whom he also named Peter,) and Andrew his brother, James and John, Philip and Bartholomew, Matthew and Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.
S Here is the calling, or the coming of the attention of all of that which are the zodiacal influences that directly influence the twelve major centers of the nervous system within the individuals. Also stands for that which is the awareness, the subconscious mind, and the animal understanding of the body. For in that which is the mind-body complex is that which, in itself, is as Judas, the traitor. For in the mind-body complex is that which has held mankind to this material plane. Therefore, heed that there are eleven more complexes within the body than the one complex. Forever treat the majority as the rule rather than that which is as the minority.
Q Would you tell us anything of the other eleven complexes and in what way are these others, referred to as the majority, helping us?
S There are twelve complexes within the body and I think that with a little thought the group could really find their mental powers not taxed too greatly to consider what they might be. Remember, if you take one as mind-body, and one as body-spirit, and one as spirit-body, and so forth, you may find your complexes, see?
Q The implication in this question was that these other eleven were each represented by one of the apostles.
S This is correct. The apostles, just as you find constellations, just as you find individual planets, are representative of many forces within that which is this plane or even as the individual entity. However, in most cases, this knowledge is not important. For you see, if you have faith and you use your mind, as given, to figure these things out or to work upon those things which you feel are spiritual developments of yourself, then you are on your way. There will be a time when all knowledge is yours, not through a source such as this, not through your brothers and sisters, but from God, the presence of God within yourself. See? Therefore, as these things come to you do not let them faze you, put them aside if you cannot understand them, meditate upon them if you must, but don’t let them devour you. For this happens to all individuals and all groups. There is a force within mankind that sets it off on tangents–and most tangents are of the mind-ego directly taking or seeking the path that is away from the spiritual development. Yes, all things have forces upon yourself. Yes, those apostles are representative of the forces in many cases, but that is not of the essence or the importance of the driving force–only for the few.
Q What other categories besides spirit, mind, and body should be considered? Would ego be one and emotions be one?
S Yes, these work almost in triangles, as you would see them, starting with the three main gifts of yourself, your mind, your body and your spirit. And then as you think upon these things, where would the ego fit? Mind, body or spirit? It falls into place, and so forth and so on. You will find the forces we are talking about, but if they help an individual entity find themselves, this is good and correct. If they don’t, put them aside.
Q Does the conscious mind rationalize itself into thinking the Holy Spirit is giving guidance when it really is not? How can we tell the difference?
S You will know them by the fruits. If that which you do is in line with that which is given by Jesus the Christ as a measure, then you will know. If hurt comes from them (now we are talking more of physical or spiritual hurt than mental hurt, for to find the spiritual path, often there must be mental hurt and sometimes even the physical hurt), to someone in the spiritual quest, then you will know. You will feel it within yourself if you are honest with yourself. Yes, the mind rationalizes and is opinionated and has preconceived ideas. Yes, you are correct here.
Q Well, where do we draw the line between rationalizing every act as to its correctness spiritually and perhaps becoming indifferent on the other hand?
S Where you feel you are being led into those paths that are not of your own choosing or even forced into those decisions which you feel are not for your best, in the spiritual sense; if you feel that your are closing yourself off from that which is a spiritual thing, then put it aside. Stop it then. And if it is a correct urge, you will follow it. If it is an incorrect urge, you can cast it aside. Remember this, it is the following, the trying, that you succeed and gain. The timid will not succeed. It is the bold that succeed. It is the one that puts the spiritual force forward, the mental force forward, the physical force forward. Many times it is more comfortable and seemingly more Christian to stay put than to move out and grow and be one with that which is your mission. If the entity would find a value besides Jesus the Christ as the pattern, take to your dreams, take to your meditation that which you would ask, in this manner: Dear Father-Mother God, give to me now that which is the knowledge of my mission in this life, in this turn within the physical plane. Help me Lord, through that which is the Christ, to find that which is my mission. For I know my mission involves Thee. [10-130]
Q Was Judas, the brother of James, also a son of Alphaeus?
S Yes.
Q How many of the apostles were Jesus’ brothers in the Joseph incarnation?
S Six.
Q Were the other apostles with Joseph in another capacity?
S No.
Q Who was Simon, also named Peter?
S As Joseph’s eldest brother.
Q Reuben?
S Correct.
Q . . . who suggested the death?
S Correct.
Q Who was Andrew?
S As the only brother; really defended Joseph.
Q Judah?
S Correct.
Q Who was James Boanerges?
S Was the second oldest brother in that incarnation.
Q Simeon?
S Correct.
Q Who was John Boanerges?
S Not in that incarnation.
Q Who was Philip?
S Fifth brother
Q And Bartholomew?
S Not in that incarnation.
Q Matthew?
S Next youngest to Joseph.
Q And Thomas?
S The wavering brother.
Q Then James and Simon were not in that incarnation, or Judas?
S No, but in other incarnations close to the Master.
Q Who was John the Beloved in reference to Jacob. He wasn’t Jacob?
S Negative.
Q Was the entity who was Jacob incarnated at the time of Jesus when Jesus walked the hills of Galilee?
S Yes.
Q May we know who he was?
S Not at this time, for matters that involve further readings.
Q What was the relationship between Moses and Joshua, another life of Jesus? Was this also Elijah?
S Correct.
Q We have been given that the one known as John the Beloved was not in the incarnation with Jesus when He was Joseph – either as a brother or as his father, Jacob. In another reading it was said that these four [Peter, Andrew, James, and John] were brothers when the Master was Joseph. May we have an explanation of what appears to be a contradiction?
S You have here a split in personalities. You have that which is an entering in, in forms, dual forms, of one soul force or personality at one time, united in another.
Q Do you mean, for example, that James and John can separate and then go back together as one?
S This is correct. [10-70]
Luke 6:17-19
And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed. And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.
S As the light dispenses the darkness (for, in truth, all is light, and mankind has created the darkness), so that which is called or termed virtue, here, went out to those who had come and in faith received. For even as the body of self, the mind of self, turns to that which is the path, through the driving of the will, the opening of the nature of self, pulling forth from the heart of self, Christ awareness, so then the light will penetrate that which is dark. For if you were to view that which is as the mind of self and the body of self, [you] realize that which you would call the sunlight or even that which is artificial light does not penetrate the body of self. Therefore, the mind and the centers of self, lie in total darkness. This is the animal world that you have sought, encased that which is the truth of your being in darkness. Therefore, in the awakening, in the calling upon the Christ, yes, in meditation, God lights your centers. How? By making the centers aware that there is no dark, by awakening the mind of self, oh so subtly, through that which is as the subconscious remembrance of the times before: the light is and the darkness is not.
Luke 6:20
And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, “Blessed be ye poor: for yours’ is the kingdom of God.”
S Poor here having the meaning within yourself, your realize, have the awareness that without God you are indeed poor; that without love, you are nothing. This is the realization of the point that mankind is at in the time of awakening, of calling upon that which is the Light, not just through words, but through the acts, the overt acts towards others, and then that silent prayer and meditation.
Luke 6:21
“Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh”
S The hunger is that of the soul that must be fed, and the realization that the soul must be unbound, that God is the Source, that God is that which wipes away the tears, that brings joy into the heart, into the actions, into the very being of mankind.
Luke 6:22
“Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.”
S When you find the distortion of the life pattern as a man, then man has cast you out. It is, at this time, that the way is opened. This does not mean to discard mankind, to disavow the body or the life that you are in, but to live the life and relieve the pressure upon others through that which is your prayer, your love, your forgiveness, for self and others. In the act of raising yourself for others, you open the floodgate that allows the love and mercy of God to pour forth, washing away that which is the sin, or the maintaining of the sin, the missing of the mark of all mankind.
Luke 6:23
“Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.”
S That which is the heart, the soul of self, will indeed leap when the joy of the Lord is unleashed within that which is the world of self, or to the knowledge of self. For that which is the joy of the Lord abounds at all times in all places. Then fear not. For even you that live the life will be mistreated by yourself. For are you not your own fathers? Therefore, if your fathers (which you are) mistreated the prophets, will you not mistreat yourselves? But the light and love of the Christ is ever present. It is the saving grace. It is the mercy called upon in faith, called upon in true awareness, called upon with the service to brothers and sisters. That is the force that will successfully lead you to the harvest of the soul.
Q Was this discourse given on a separate occasion, or does it refer to the same discourse we call the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew?
S This was a separate discourse. Remember, there were many discourses that were lumped together by early Christians as to be the Sermon on the Mount. This was a specific discourse at a specific place and time.
Luke 6:24
“But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.”
S Those who live in the present and share not that which comes to them, whether it be love, or material riches, or that which is the mind power, or that which is the humor, or that which is as forgiveness, patience, what have you, those are the rich. If you share not, then you have become a negative force towards yourself for what you have done to others. For it is in selfishness that mankind binds itself to the material world. It is selfishness that indeed is the karmic wheel.
Luke 6:25
“Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.”
S Those that are full of themselves will be once again bound to that which is the karmic rebound and find that self is not of the importance. For those who laugh at the misfortunes of others, who degrade that which is God, their time for the weeping, the wailing, and the gnashing of teeth will be in hand. For time has no end, as you would know it. Once in the karmic, therefore you reap in the karmic. Therefore, take the grace that is handed to self, break the karmic, and proceed on the path that is presented you through and in Jesus the Christ.
Luke 6:26
“Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.”
S This is simple. This is the meaning: you who live for mankind’s blessing, you that perform for mankind, you that live in the ego, will know that which is the fall and the judgment. Therefore, begin within the mind as to the cleansing process by finding not fault with others, criticizing not. But be of good cheer. Be the smile, the helping hand, the helping deed. In short, channel God’s love through yourself – your acts, your thoughts.
Luke 6:27
“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,”
S Even as has been given earlier in this reading: explore the thought, the meaning of love, not the dictionary term, not the term that is bandied about so often in your society, but that which lives, that which is expressed through the Holy Spirit, through the Christ from Its Source, God. Know the meaning of forgiveness. Know the meaning of patience. Know the meaning of the trying. Know empathy. In short, follow that which is the way as set by Him, that you, too, may be as a savior for others.
Luke 6:28
“Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”
S The positive always overcomes the negative in actions, though the negative becomes the positive through the correct usage. You have therein that which in some circles are considered the yin and the yang, the two opposing forces that become one, even as you have within your material world the masculine and the feminine. All things may be used as a negative force. All things may be used as a positive force, and when they balance, then all is correct. Therefore, once again: criticize not, but look, seek, and find the meaning of things. True, there are those meanings that are beyond you. True, there are those meanings that you cannot understand at this time or must not understand at this time. But there are those things which with a little mental elbow grease, a little preserving of the ideas, will be answered. Therefore, seek, seek, seek and, as given, “ye shall find”.
Q Could you please tell us what is the correct usage of the negative?
S Correct usage of the negative is to see, truly see, through the eyes of the spiritually uplifted person that all things are from God and God is correct, God is good, God is love, God is positive. The negative is the positive and all things are one with God.
Q Then it isn’t righteous anger, or punishment of criminals or children, or things like that?
S All things have their places. All things are as an individual would see them be. That which is the positive force of God can never be negative, for the negative force created by God is positive. Negative forces created by humans are illusions. [10-131]
Luke 6:29
“And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.”
S Find the balance. Understand the meaning. For you must share in all things. For that which happens to your brother, your sister, in actuality happens to yourself. If you cannot forgive, you are not forgiven. If you cannot share, you will receive not a share. For heaven and earth are God’s creation. You are God’s creation. He has given. Can you not give? For remember, all is His, none is yours but by His love, His grace. Therefore, think upon these things. Realize what must be shared. For love must be shared. Life must be shared. For remember: if you have a fear of sharing, sin lieth at the door. If you are hurt by sharing, then sin lieth at your door.
Q Is there some symbolic meaning to coat or cloak?
S You have many meanings here: that which hides yourself from others, that which is the falseness that you gather about yourselves. But it is also that which is comfort, also that which is total sharing. For it is that which is in sharing that is, that devoids one of that which is the falseness. For it has been said that the thief cloaks himself in darkness. Therefore, cloak not your motives nor your actions. You do not have to beat your chest or preach, but let the world see your actions. And if the world is interested in your actions, it will inquire to find out what you are, what you believe and why.
Luke 6:30
“Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again.”
S This is simply put in the following, as has been given so often: “Cast not your pearls before swine.” For those that would seek in truth, or in need, give to them. But give not to those who would waste that of others. For let the mercy of God provide for them. Be the hand of God that gives to those that have cried out, that seek, even as they cried out to Him, those who were sick, infirm, and the virtue went to them. Let His virtue pass through you to those in need.
Luke 6:31-32
“And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.”
S Realize within yourselves, that you, in truth, are one, that all is one. And if you do those things of the negative, if you do those things which are anti-God to others, you have done them to yourselves, and yourselves are part of God. Therefore, you have done them to your God also.
Luke 6:33
“And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.”
S This is aimed at those who seek reward or must have a goal in that which is their action towards others, those who would seek to reap, those who would justify their actions by that which is the reward. Therefore, put no price nor a tag upon the actions that are done in love, that are done in mercy, that are done in the awareness of the needs of others.
Luke 6:34
“And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.”
S You must break the chain that you have set in motion so long ago – the chain that whirls and grabs and holds. For you can no longer act in that which are the laws as set up in motion by mankind but must perceive that which is the law of God. Therefore, chain yourself not to mankind’s way, but follow that which is set in Him, which is the Christ.
Luke 6:35
“But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.”
S If you would realize it, even you, yes, are the enemies of God, else you would not be here. Therefore, treat all as equal, love all as yourself. For as long as you have a brother or sister who is mired in that which is selfishness, in self, you, too, are mired. For only He that is the Lamb can extract you from that which you have created. Therefore, if you would be as an ally of God, if you would be a brother to Him that is the Christ, if you would receive the Holy Spirit, then love rather than hate, forgive rather than criticize. For in those two laws is love.
Q In the Cayce material the Lamb is given as the seeker, symbolically on one occasion, in contradiction to the shepherd who is the person who understands and is aware. On the life seal given to this group, does the Lamb represent Jesus, or does it represent ourselves as seekers?
S Both. For Jesus was the ultimate seeker, and ye must become as He.
Luke 6:36
“Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”
S If you would live that which has been given to you, you must accept that which is mercy. For action begets action. Do not react but become action. Mercy is mercy, and when you are merciful, you become mercy, you become that which is the extension of God which is mercy. For the merciful are those who are one step away from that which is perfection. For you would understand the meaning of mercy: even it is that which is love. For love sees that which is as man’s way, God’s way, and eliminates that which is contradictory, giving the passage. For in mercy has God given you the outlet. In mercy share with others in their needs.
Luke 6:37
“Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:”
S Once again, selfishness overridden becomes that which is God’s way. For criticizing (which is judgment) is that which is the binding to the elements of the earth. It is selfishness. It is selfness. But when you show mercy, when you do not judge, when you do that which is the constructive rather than the destructive, you are mercy, you are love.
Q Shall we then ignore the politics of today, the political actions, or how should we face them?
S You are aware of them; you do not condone them; and you understand that you, yourself, have had the weaknesses, and show weaknesses in other ways. And just pray, just pray that mercy will overcome the handicap of all that live in this plane – politics being that which is a handicap to the growth of mankind.
Luke 6:38
“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
S The good deed given today may return today, tomorrow, a hundred years hence, or a thousand – whenever it is necessary and best for self. Therefore, look not for the rewards, but know that it is the law, it is the love, it is the mercy that you will receive that which is the positive. And yet, there is that which is the negative that you may receive karmically today, tomorrow, a hundred years, a thousand. Remember that, too.
Luke 6:39
And he spake a parable unto them, “Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?”
S The ditch represents, in self, that which is the earth way. The blind leading the blind are those who preach, those who are the politicians, those who are of many religious persuasions, those who are the leaders of social reform and systems – because they are not enlightened would lead you and others astray. Be careful within yourself, for the reasoning and rationalization of that which you think and do. For often in the guise of religion, the guise of social change, or politics, you lead yourself to the ditch and fall in where only He that is the Christ may lift you out.
Luke 6:40
“The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.”
S He that is the Master of you, of this world, made it plain, made it clear in His sojourn, that only God was good, that it was the Father that did the work. He pleaded, He begged that those, whom He did these things for, would recognize same, and not lift Him by name above others. He did not consider Himself greater than God, did not want to be raised in name or action to the level of God, though He was the perfect man, the perfect vehicle, who brought forth the Christ, the power and love of God in action, that showed forth the Holy Spirit. He claimed not this. Therefore, be wary of those who would claim themselves this, or proclaim themselves that, and be wary of yourself when you pat yourself on your back for a job well done.
Luke 6:41
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?”
S Criticize not, lest ye be criticized. Judge not, lest ye be judged. For as you give, you receive now or later. It is all one.
Luke 6:42
“Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, ‘let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye’, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.”
S As we have given, those who would lead you in paths of righteousness as they see it to be, or proclaim their greatness, or the greatness of their way – be it political, be it religious – remember, it is only God who sets the pace, the pattern. Therefore, do not see the wrong in your brother, your sister, unless you have removed it from your own being. Then you will see the wrong in your brother, your sister, as that which you have helped to create and must alleviate, not by criticism, not by being oppressive, not by that which is the preaching, but by love, by prayer, by mercy, yes, by that which is feeding the soul, by being that which is the helping hand, as always given, by meditating, by being.
Luke 6:43-44
“For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.”
S It is the fruit of the actions that you must judge things by. It is the fruit that comes from God that is the agent that makes you grow, that wipes away the tears, that shows the Path and the Light. Therefore, be careful, be aware, be guided by that which is the inner light so you may know that which is the sweet fruit, or which is the bitter.
Q In reading 10-32 (Matthew 12:33), “Those who are divided and cannot bear fruit either way lose themselves and these are so often those who come back as mindless, who come back who cannot choose, who are helpless, invalided, mental retardation, idiots, imbeciles. These are those who could not choose one way or the other.” This seems to me like to be a catch-22 situation. For how can these poor souls ever make any choice in view of their retarded situation?
S Oh, negative, negative. No, no. View it as this: they experience what it is, truly to make no decision and then they have an opportunity to come back and use their minds again. It is a gift from God. Oh, see it as a joyful jewel. Look at some of your Mongoloids, even as they are, the happiest people in this world, because they don’t really have the decisions to make that they will later on. [10-130]
Luke 6:45
A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringing forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.
S Has been given that the Lord thy God is a merciful God. He has given, He has imparted to you that which is the ability to make the choice. There is the choice of that which is the evil or that which is the Light. Jesus is the example of the Light. The world you live in and that which it holds up as the greater things of the day is, in itself, the greater evil. Therefore, live in mercy, in love, in forgiveness, in patience – all these things that have been given to you. Did He not forgive from the cross? Did He not pour forth God’s love to heal? Did He not guide through the messages of His life, His actions? Therefore, deal from the treasure that is within you, the storehouse that is unlimited within yourselves.
Q The word heart as it is used here – does it symbolically represent the mind of the soul, the subconscious mind?
S It represents here all that is given to you. Yes, the heart is normally that which is the subconscious self, the soul force. However, it is all things, bodily, mentally, spiritually, that you are at this time.
Luke 6:46
“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?”
S How often, how often, does mankind speak from one side of the mouth and then the other? How often does mankind proclaim his actions as loving and kind when they are not? How often has man proclaimed the Christ and acted the opposite? What things have been done in His name that stabbed the heart? What values people have put upon false words, false actions, and cloaked themselves in that which proclaims God, and yet is anti-God. And yet, be not critical of them. Realize that you, too, have done these things. Realize that only one has broken that which is the karmic wheel, has opened the door, that you, too, as well as they, may proceed to find that which is the Father.
Luke 6:47-48
“Whosoever cometh to me, and hearth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.”
S The rock is faith, faith, faith. Let the fruit tell you how you have built, what you are building. Proceed in faith and know in faith that the Master of Life, yes, the Holy Spirit Itself, will honor your way, will show you the right, will give you the just fruit. Therefore, create, create the path. Create the way by calling upon Love, that Love may be the light, that Love may be the path.
Luke 6:49
“But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
S This is yourselves, if you do not heed the Way. For there is not one, no not one that lives now, that has not been exposed to that which is the teaching of the Master of Life in one form or another. Therefore, lift up your eyes unto the Lord, rather than cast them down to the mud. Build with Love. For it is Love that has mastered the way. It is Love that preserves your soul. It is Love that gives you the opportunity to exist.
