Mark 14: Spiritual Awakening & Metaphysical WisdomThis document is an in-depth spiritual analysis of Mark Chapter 14 from the Bible. It explores the metaphysical wisdom; interpretations of the events and teachings in this chapter, focusing on themes like faith, spiritual awakening, and personal growth through Christ’s teachings. The material delves into the symbolic meanings of the events, emphasizing the application of these teachings for spiritual enlightenment and personal development.

Mark 14:1-2:

After two days was the feast of the Passover, and of unleavened bread: and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might take him by craft, and put him to death. But they said, not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar of the people.

S Even at the time the Lamb Himself (and some knew Him to be the Lamb and feared for themselves, or their selves) so individuals, even knowing the Christ, would seek a way of ridding themselves of that authority within themselves, and yet, would do it through (as) these priests, the proper time or instance. For in their falseness, in their misunderstanding, they chose to do that which was worse than murder, not on a sacred, holy day, especially one that was the preceding lamb’s existence, or that which was the force of the lamb, that which was the original Passover, the namesake of the Lamb – the grace, the Prince, the love, the mercy.

Q Does this tie into the instance in Egypt and the blood on the lintel? Is this because this was the age of Ram?

S This is correct. This is that which, you see, the blood protecting that which is the first thought, the cleansing, the uplifting thought, giving it the opportunity to find that which, even within yourselves, is the Holy Land, the Promised Land, that the Lamb may come unto you, and lift up that which is your spirit to its proper place and usage.

Mark 14:3:

And being in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured it on his head.

S In that which is the worship of the Christ Force within yourself, in that which is the anointing of the seat of the spiritual nature of self, pituitary you see, you then open that which is most precious, and pour it that it may uplift the entire being, be used for that which is God’s purpose within this plane.

Q Can we directly tie in this symbology with “thou anointest my head with oil” from David’s 23rd Psalm?

S Yes.

Q Was this woman Mary of Bethany or a different Mary?

S Mary of Bethany.

Q Co-authoress of the fourth gospel?

S Correct.

Mark 14:4-5:

And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, “Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor”. And they murmured against her.

S How the mental, the physical, cries out for its share, its place, before the Throne, above the Throne, and greater than the spiritual. And you must find it even in your own minds, your own bodies, for they will cry out as they are put in their place, as they are used in their proper way, rather than in the way that they have trained you to use them. And sometimes the putting aside of the mind and the body in prayer and meditation is a torturous thing for that which is your personality. And yet, it must be done that you may succeed in that which is touching, reaching, hearing, knowing the Christ.

Q Would you please give us an affirmation that we might say when this happens within us in meditation?

S Seek your own. For how often do you lean upon this Source with same when within you is a virtual spring of beauty. Create in your own mind, for you have the ability to create. It is a God-given right. Bring forth that from within yourself that you, too may have presented before the throne of God a creation, a present, and the light may be that much brighter.

Mark 14:6-7:

And Jesus said,” Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she hath wrought a good work on me. For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.”

S First, before all things comes the Christ. And that which is the tenacious force that brings forth the Christ (even as she is given here), is that force within yourself that holds to the ideal and the idea and brings them forth, regardless of the calling of the mind, the intellectual mind, the selfish mind, the body-physical (in itself so often that which is the individual curse of ego, selfishness, and yes, foolishness) that, once again, calls forth its proper place as it sees it to be.

Mark 14:8:

“She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.”

S Into that time when you, too, become as Christed, there must be that force, that driving force, whether it be the intellectual used by that which is the spiritual, the will guiding these used by the spiritual, or the entire mind-being of yourself – spiritual mind, active-individual-mental mind. But there must be that that prepares the destruction of the ego-centered body, that you may find that which is your own Christing and awareness.

Mark 14:9:

Verily I say unto you, “Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.”

S You must make a memorial of this. For it is the only way you can raise within yourself. It is by that application of the force that puts the nose to the grindstone, that forces yourself from being lax, that keeps you on the path, that corrects you when you wander, that awakens you when you sleep spiritually, that forces you to do those things that your mind awareness and your body awareness would rather not have you do, or would rather not have be the more important in your life. This is a must. This is the memorial. This you must do, even as, in truth, at that time Mary did these things. So you must do within yourself.

And we have now a word of understanding, for sometimes this group does not understand the purposes. Even as Mary did not go to the multitude to proclaim what she had done, nor did Christ Jesus stand on the street corner and preach of what she had done, but gave here the word, the deed, there the word and deed. So this group is intended to do same. To plant the seed here or there, where requested or necessary, to lend the helping hand and advice here or there, and then to let God nurture and cultivate that which has been used through you. And so do those things, though they seem small, though they seem not to greatly change the world, or influence many. Proceed – a little here, a little there, line upon line, deed upon deed. And let God cultivate. Let God fertilize. And let mankind then reap that which ye have started as servants of the Lord.

And now we give that which is our love, our blessing, peace, mercy. Let the light so shine before you that you will know the way, that others may tread the path with you of their own volition.

RAM Reading 10-60

Prayer – Channel:

Beloved, we make ourselves known to Thee at this time, seeking Thy love, Thy mercy, seeking the Light, seeking the Way. Father, we knock. We ask, oh Lord, for Thy love. Make the Christ present to us that we may find the way.

Source:

Awaken from your slumbers. Rise up and greet the dawn. For the Lamb is come. Let the earth know of same. For His presence is here. Breathe of Him. Behold Him. For Love is ever present, oh you of emotions who have not passed that place where peace, where love reigns. Therefore, examine selves and use that which are thy emotions to further selves that the brothers, the sisters, might, too, find the Lamb. And then come to that time, in the Lamb, that peace and love will no longer be resisted within yourselves. For, behold, He is present; He is near. Open your hearts, your minds, that peace, that the Light, that Love may enter in.

For each and every soul, each and every mind, becomes sole and one in that which is the search, that which is the seeking. For the search and the seeking are not the same. Therefore, bring them together and make them one.

Q Please explain how the search differs from the seeking and how do we make them the same?

S Seeking is that which drives or comes from the soul force that longs for the truth, longs for its true identity, its true personality. Search then, is that which is dedicated by the mind and the will to finding that path, that opening, that there will be fulfillment within self in facing the truth of God. For the soul may be fed and freed. Therefore, brings them together and makes them one. [10-64]

Mark 14:10-11

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray him unto them. And when they heard it, they were glad, and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray him.

S Beware of the Judas within yourselves – that which is emotion, or the emotions that become desires. For even as the man himself, Judas, did betray his Lord, his Leader, his Liege, so that within yourselves may do same. Therefore, examine yourselves in those times that you have turmoil and troubles; in those times that adversities come to selves. Stop, regroup, rethink, examine to find what is that which comes to you. For remember, in that which is the discomfort of the mind or the body there is that which is as the source. What is this source but sin. For it has been said in days of old, “Where there is that which troubles you, sin lies before thy door.” ~Therefore, before multiplying that which is sin, (for) remember, in adversity it is not necessarily the thing to face it. For adversity is not always that which you would term as karma. It may be that which would bring on further karma. You have been given minds, you have been given will. Then examine and use same to overcome situations, not compounding that which are the ills, the troubles, but evaluating and freeing self through that which is love, mercy, through showing same for others. Be not the Judas to yourself. Mistake not desire for emotion, or emotion for desire. Make them not one and the same. Wipe out that which is desire. And until that time that you may overcome emotion, use emotion for the goodness of others.

Q Regarding the statement, “For adversity is not always that which you would term as karma,” if it isn’t karma, then do we still have a just God?

S It is opportunity from a just God.

Mark 14:12

And the first day of unleavened bread, when they killed the Passover, his disciples said unto him, “Where wilt thou that we go and prepare that thou mayest eat the Passover?”

S This must occur within selves at that time when you prepare yourself each day to come before that which is the Creative Force, that which is Love, to lighten yourself, both with light and to make yourself less weighty by simplifying the thoughts, by simplifying the deeds, that you, too may find the place to meet the Lord.

Mark 14:13-14

And he sendeth forth two of his disciples, and saith unto them, “Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him. And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the house, The Master saith, ‘Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?'”

S Here is the seeking within yourself through that which is the busyness of self, the complications of self (which is the city of self), to find the bearer of water, the spiritual truth, the spiritual way – and following same to that place, the inner chamber within yourself, that you, too, may use that which is the Blood of the Lamb to find the I AM of self, spirit, the word of the Lord, that which gives you life.

Q What do the two disciples represent?

S There’s a multiplicity here. First, the two represent the will and the intellect, but also represent the mental being and the physical being of self, used, you see, in a joining of one and one. For in that which is the numeral two is disarray, disunity, or the lack of strength. Where one as one, and one as one, are units of strength. Therefore, they combine, not making two but eleven – that which is a master or controlling number of a spiritual way, the spiritual seeking.

Q Which two of the disciples did He send?

S Andrew and Peter.

Q Who was the good man?

S The good man is that which is the seeking, within yourself, the Light, or the Christ Force leading the way with the spiritual cleansing, the spiritual feeding, which is the water.

Q Was the good man possibly an angel?

S It was angelic.

Q What’s the relationship between the man, the water and the symbol of Aquarius?

S Very much so. For you have that which was the Age of Aquarius, you see. It was a symbol of the Christ. [10-60]

Mark 14:15

“And he will show you a large upper room furnished and prepared: there make ready for us.”

S There is that which is the place within yourself that ye may seat yourself before the throne of thy Lord, thy Master. It is prepared, and it is waiting within each and every individual. Yes, you have made your entrance. But have you made yourself aware of your entrance?

Mark 14:16-17

And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the Passover. And in the evening, he cometh with the twelve.

S Here is the preparation through the busyness of self, the turmoil, the tribulation of the minds, the physical activities of self that, then, you send forth those which are the thoughts which prepare the way for that which is the soul search, the cleansing, prayer, that you may then meditate and come before that place of stillness where the Lord provides.

Mark 14:18

And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, “Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me. “

S Even within yourselves prepare for that which is the tempter. It lies within your very beings, constructed, yes, built by selves, not that which you would again consider as karma, but that which you have developed that you may then overcome this earth. It is not that as you would think it to be – the deeds of the past rooting selves, chaining selves to this existence. This is true in other ways but not in this. For that which falls before you is the door that may be opened. And without the door, the tempter, you cannot proceed, you cannot find the path.

Q What was Judas Iscariot’s conscious rationale for betraying Jesus?

S There was a belief in this man, even that which lies within yourselves, that the mind of self may perceive the way, perceive that which is correct, evaluate and use that which is the mental being to guide, to dictate. Even as that man, that entity, believed in what he did, he did not do as that which was given to you – stop, regroup, rethink and evaluate. This person, using the ego, you see, rationalized within self that the proper way would be for the great miracle to occur. That Jesus the Christ could not be killed as man believes killing to be; that the body would deny that which was death. For using the rational mind, this entity had seen the man, Jesus, walk among the diseased, defy death in many ways, a body rendered unharmed. Therefore, thinking not on those things which were the lessons of the Master, proceeded on his own, taking, you see, the authority of God within his hands, rather than that of allowing the authority to be used by the One who came with authority, who blessed authority, who became total authority.

Q Did he have links with the zealots?

S That entity earlier had links with the zealots; also was trained, you see, by Pharisees. Therefore had developed the mind pattern that you find within the Pharisee, the zealot, which in itself denies God, God’s own way.

Q Is there a relationship between the tempter and the door and the Leydig center?

S The Leydig? Yes. All of the lower centers may be considered the tempter. The ego may be considered so. Those emotions, uncontrolled, and desires -the tempter – without which there could be no overcoming, no opening of the door. For there would be no use for same.

Mark 14:19-20

And they began to be sorrowful, and to say unto him one by one, “Is it I?” and another said, “Is it I?” And he answered and said unto them “It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.”

S You see, it is the basis within self, the basic platform of self, where the fault lies. Not within the multitude, for there were more than twelve at the supper. And each asking, “I?”, including he, the betrayer. For he did not believe he betrayed. For he had not evaluated that which were the emotions, the reasoning; had not evaluated the teachings, but saw only this and that.

Q Did he want Jesus to be the physical Messiah, the type of thing that most of the Jews believed was coming, physically the King of Kings?

S Because he was of the Pharisee, because he was as he had been taught, in reality, as the Pharisee, could not see the spiritual, but rather saw the outer. Could not evaluate same therefore saw God as a man, felt Jesus must assume the role that was David’s, the role that was Solomon’s, to revive that which was the greatness (as had been taught to him) of the land. That Israel would conquer all and dictate to all, physically, mentally and spiritually, through the strong right arm, through the sword, through the power of that which is the physical. Yes, the question is correct.

Q Don’t the Jews at the present time still lean that way?

S That’s a broad question. There are divisions, you see. For many who call themselves Jews do not even believe in God, but, like many Christians, mouth that which are supplications. There are those who are devout in believing that God is a spirit, that the spirit will overcome the world. And yes, there are those who believe the Messiah will come to them as the dictator-controller of the world one day, one time or another.

Q Wasn’t Judas quite an honorable man during Cayce’s time? An honorable man who lived at Virginia Beach and played the stock market.

S There are many people who have come and been this or that, who have been just, or dishonorable, honorable, unjust, tolerable, intolerable, what have you. It has no bearing, you see, upon that which you seek now. For each and every individual rides those crests, those temptations, those times within this earth where they must be one thing and then another. Even in that which is rebirth, where there are those who are predominantly one sex, or another, must have those times when they must reverse the role. So, then, the man Judas must do same. But first, remember, was he dishonorable? No. Did he betray Jesus? No. Not in what he believed, even at that time when he destroyed himself. For what is honorable? What is dishonorable? When you frown when you should smile is more dishonorable. Though the question has meat, it is not, you see, so important as man’s mind would think it to be.

Mark 14:21

“The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born.”

S This is teaching of the betrayal of self, the cringing from opportunity, the turning away from that which is the door, the seeking for the softer, easier way, the failure to regroup, rethink, or evaluate, and above all, the failure to question. Therefore, even in these readings, when you feel that you have asked wrongly, or have been rebuffed, it’s not true. For when you fail to question, you have failed to use that which is a tool to guide you on your way.

Mark 14:22

And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, “Take, eat: this is my body.”

S You, too, must break the body (for this is that which is the bread), and share with the spiritual forces that which is life itself. Even as He broke the bread, [He] gave forth that which is life to others.

Mark 14:23

And he took the cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them: and they all drank of it.

S This is that which is the wine of life, the blood of life, that which is the I AM Force that you must delve yourself in, that you must partake of lest you miss that which is the feast or the feeding of the soul of self, that which hungers so greatly.

Mark 14:24

And he said unto them, :This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.”

S As He became the true Passover by the shedding of the blood, so you must give of that life force of self, the blood of the lamb that is within you, the I AM Force, the Christ Force, that others, too, may live. This is the stream of love, forgiveness, mercy that you send forth to all, regardless of who they may be or what they may be.

Q In the early days of the church did the apostles recognize what was meant, the inner meaning, or did they present it to the people the way that mass is presented today?

S For some 72 years afterwards, it was the practice to give it in the correct form. Then, because of the greater numbers, it was determined by those that there should be a change and it was presented in same. Not a mistake, you see, because of the situations involved. It was given to them to change this, that the stream of life, opportunities, forces, would not be diverted. That what must be in man’s makeup, must be – that even those times must come that you live in now. For much of this time is based upon this change, you see, the change in thinking, of presentation, of what is termed by so many as the mysteries to that which is the mass, or the masses of people. Thus, you see, you have the change. But the greater changes in the presentation of that which is the Blood of the Lamb and the Body of the Lamb was man conceived, rather than that which was given as the changes.

Q Was the change 72 years afterwards done as part of a communal meal, or was it then separated into a separate mass and a sacrament?

S The communal meal had become impractical because of the forces of man itself, also known to the powers that be. Thus it became a separate thing. And then came that which was the creeping, destructive force of power that began to seep into that which had been, up until then, clean, free of man, and full of God.

Mark 14:25

“Verily I say unto you, I will drink no more of the fruit of the vine, until that day that I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

S No more would be the dictates of man or the dictates of the body, you see, in the way of that which was the total spiritual process. Even as ye may come to that situation, or that time, or that development when the body, the mind, and the influences of and on same become as naught before that which are the spiritual forces of self-linked to that which is the Christ and that which is the Holy Spirit itself.

Mark 14:26-28

And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives. And Jesus saith unto them, “All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. But after that I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.”

S The tearing, the rending within yourselves, your mental-physical, spiritual-mental selves, when you reach that point that you, too, may ascend to heights of spirituality within self that prepares you for the great lessons, then there will be that which is the tumult, that which is the smiting of your own selves. But it is a necessity, you see. The rending, the tearing from the physical-mental world, (the) physical-mental centered being, to that which becomes the spiritual being, only draped, or only supported, you see, by the physical-mental being.

Q Was the hymn the 91st Psalm?

S At that time, yes. But it does not have to be same within yourself.

Mark 14:29-30

But Peter said unto him, “Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.” And Jesus saith unto him, “Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.”

S Here you have faith becoming egotistical. Not true faith, you see, but faith misled. For once again, Peter, who oft was this way (even as you yourselves are), speak or do before evaluating, finding the reasons why. Peter spoke for that which was the ego of self and represented for selves, faith misled, misused, even with the grandest or most wonderful scheme in mind.

Mark 14:31

But he spake the more vehemently, “If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise.” Likewise, also said they all.

S This is the foolishness of man speaking. For even the actions of man, in selves, bring upon these situations. How often has man destroyed himself. For his ego has told him, for his rational mind has told him this is the correct thing to do. How foolish is that which ye term honor when it is not based in the spiritual lessons of the world.

Mark 14:32-34

And they came to a place which was named Gethsemane: and he saith to his disciples, “Sit ye here, while I shall pray.” And he taketh with him Peter and James and John, and began to be sore amazed, and to be very heavy; And saith unto them, “My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch. “

S Here, represented strength, love, good works that He took with Him, representing that which are the human parts of selves, going forth with that which is the search or that which is the spiritual enlightenment to that place where there must be the meeting or that which is the gleaning of the spiritual cause or message.

Q The word “amazed” is strange, as we use the word today. Is there a better translation of what was said?

S You have here a meaning that was given. For there was a lack of word power, even as now, that can convey that which occurs, or occurred, and will occur. That which might best be termed the lighting, or enlightenment, or the awakening, or total awareness, or joy.

Mark 14:35-36

And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. And he said, “Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt.”

S For even the Son had to learn obedience. Even at that time of degradation, or even as, yea, the spirit itself saw as degradation. But obedience is that message that man has never learned. This is why the Master of Life oft had much to do with the Roman soldiery, oft found words of praise, which rankled those Jews about Him for their hatred of same. This is why Rome lasted so long – obedience. If you would be spiritual, you, too, must be obedient.

Q When Barnabas wrote Hebrews, he wrote, “even he, though he were the Son, only learned obedience through suffering.” Was he referring to past lives, or was he referring to that one life?

S Mainly to the one life, but to past lives, alluding to same. But mostly to that which He came, with knowledge, with position, with all power, must be humbled with the obedience. How often has man risen high (even in the spiritual realms) but to deviate because there was nonobedience. And how often are those who are obedient to the spiritual ridiculed, attacked, debased by their fellow humans.

Mark 14:37-38

And he cometh, and findeth them sleeping, and saith unto Peter, “Simon, sleepest thou? Couldest not thou watch one hour? Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.”

S Once again this is the door. For even He, though He was the Son, could not depend on others, but must depend on the power of the Creative Force – God – that the Holy Spirit would do the work rather than that which is man. Therefore, within yourselves you must face that which is your Maker through your own works, your own deeds, your own thoughts. But, you are not alone. For Love is ever present. Therefore, turn not to mankind, but to the spirit.

Q Did all three fall asleep

S Physically, at that time? Yes. Correct.

Mark 14:39-40

And again he went away, and prayed, and spake the same words. And when he returned, he found them asleep again, (for their eyes were heavy,) neither wist they what to answer him.

S Though you will be tempted to turn to mankind, even your closest friend or loved one, in the end it must be self that faces that which is the crisis, that which is God, that which is the Way, that which is Love. Therefore, turn not to others, but turn within yourself through deeds, through thoughts, through works, through prayer, through meditation.

Q What is the significance of the three times that Jesus returned and found them asleep, plus the three, plus the hour?

S Well, you have here that which is totally, or evaluating, as to that which is the physical plane, or the physical numbers, or numerology, that which is the mental, and pertaining to the earth plane, earth thought. Whereas, the asking thrice, which totals three, which is the overcoming of the physical-mental, going to the spiritual, or totaling that which is the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit.

Mark 14:41-42

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, “Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. Rise up, let us go; lo, he that betrayeth me is at hand.”

S For you must face that which betrays you – your body, your mind misused, your ego, your desires, your thought patterns. For this is the spiritual, realizing there is naught but God. And therefore, the betrayers must betray, for they are of this earth. But the freeing of that which is the spiritual nature and the spiritual nature of selves must come. For it is written. It is so. It is the law.

Q Please clarify the spiritual nature.

S The spiritual nature is the true body of yourself. This contains the soul. This contains that which is the mentality as developed–not that mentality that you are using at this time–that mentality of the soul force, or the subconscious, or even the sub-subconscious to the degrees that become the true mentality of self, and then that which is the use of the two in conjunction with the personality as developed. [10-64]

Q Please explain the difference between the subconscious, the sub-subconscious, and the superconscious.

S The sub-subconscious is actually group–group experience, thought. It is that storehouse (that Pandora’s box so often) of all you have thought, done, and experienced in the sum total of all the experiences from the time you were created to the present. It is that which becomes the subconscious when you attain to that which is the true conscious of self. Your subconscious mind (which at some time becomes that which is your conscious mind) is that which holds the experiences necessary for you to use, overcome, or what have you, in that which is a particular lifetime or experience within the earth. You have that which is the superconscious, which is the Christ Force, the God Force within yourself, which on attunement and attaining to that which is the higher level of your nature becomes blended into that which becomes your conscious mind, and that which becomes your subconscious mind as you have become the fulfilled entity.

Q You say it’s used sometimes on this plane, the subconscious mind? How or when is it used? Or when does it…

S Many times those forces that overtake an entity, such as unexplainable rages, or waves of love, hope, that seem to stem from nowhere–or that bit of courage, or force, or strength that comes in time of trial or necessity, is the coming to the fore of that which is the subconscious mind, making not only an impact but actually becoming the thinking mind of an individual (though they don’t realize it at that time). This also is that which explains, you see, sometimes or some types of insanity, where the tapping or the turning of the subconscious mind into that which is the conscious awareness or action is a negative thing.

Q Which part of which mind takes care of such things as sending the proper juices to a cut or wound for healing?

S Well, you have the subconscious mind that in a sense is like the animal mind or forces that you find with the animal, or the dog, the cat, what have you, and helps their healing also. You have this which is a built-in device for the physical body. Then you have your mental conditioning, which is the mental, or mind processes–and in some highly developed people, overcome the physical nature by giving instantaneous healing or acceptance. This may be reached sometimes through hypnosis also. Then you have that which is the mind, the builder, or that which programs the body to accept by stages (normally low stages) in the overcoming. And then you have that which is situated at what might be called the borderline between that which is the conscious mind, the working mind, and that which is the subconscious, the sleeping or that which is the holding mind–which is the grey area where one or the other establishes most of the healing process. What we are trying to explain in words is a psychological thought pattern, physical-chemical, atomic-molecular, vibrational pattern established in a fashion that your conscious mind can’t conceive truly to, and we cannot verbalize. It is like music and light touching physical keys to make a computer react to a certain programming. [10-105]

Mark 14:43-44

And immediately, while he yet spake, cometh Judas, one of the twelve, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. And he that betrayed him had given them a token, saying, “Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he; take him, and lead him away safely.”

S Therefore, fear not in that which comes to you. For there is that which is the spiritual resurgence within yourselves. For the body is naught but a tool. The mind is naught but a tool. View it as same. True, your spiritual nature might get blisters from using these tools, might be calloused from using these tools, but nevertheless they are only tools. And how much is each and every one of you wrapped up in those tools. Free yourselves. Find yourselves. Get rid of the blisters.

Mark 14:45-46

And as soon as he was come, he goeth straightway to him, and saith, “Master, master;” and kissed him. And they laid their hands on him, and took him.

S This is that which, in yourselves, plays the game of the spiritual nature, but doesn’t lose the physical-mental, doesn’t subdue them, doesn’t use them as the tools. No. But in reality bends the knee to the physical, to the mental – especially to the ego – and plays the game.

Mark 14:47-48

And one of them that stood by drew a sword, and smote a servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. And Jesus answered and said unto them, “Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?”

S Peace cannot be achieved in violence – though your government may say so. You cannot achieve love through hate. If you see them for what they are, then they, too, become the gate. And even as He, the Christed One, pointed out to those around Him at that time, but they did not heed. Therefore, now take heed that you may not make this mistake at this time.

Mark 14:49-50

“I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but the scriptures must be fulfilled.” And they all forsook him and fled.

S Each day you meet Him within yourselves. And how often do you heed Him? And how often do you leave Him disappointed? And yet, how often, here and there, does He rejoice that you have heard, that the Word has filtered down within you, that you have acted within the Christ, acted for God, been touched by the Holy Spirit, moved in a world of nonmovement, become light in the darkness, become music within chaos.

Mark 14:51-52

And there followed him a certain young man, having a linen cloth cast about his naked body; and the young men laid hold on him: And he left the linen cloth, and fled from them naked.

S You cannot cover yourself or what you are. You cannot hide yourself from that which is the truth of your being. You will have fear, confusion, if you reach that place where you must evaluate and, in reality, see yourself in truth. You, too, may be as this one who fled. And how often you flee within yourselves when you approach the honest evaluation, honest awareness of what you are, what you have done, and what your true being is.

Q Was this young man John?

S This was John.

Q Why was his name not used in writing this particular gospel?

S Because John was the beloved. John was the loved one. When this was put down, no one wanted to, in modern terms, put down John.

Q Would the Aquarian Gospel be reasonably accurate regarding this particular instance?

S More so than the ones that are normally studied.

Mark 14:53-54

And they led Jesus away to the high priest: and with him were assembled all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes. And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

S Faith, weakened, hides itself as that which, within you, are the spiritual faces, that which is the multitude of sins that you have created – ego, emotion, desire. All these, seated as the high priests, bent on suppressing, at least, destroying, hopefully, your spiritual quest. For once the spiritual is achieved they are no longer high priests of your life.

Q Was Levi, who gave this material in the Aquarian Gospel through Dowling, one of those people? For example, one of the seventy?

S Levi gave what he saw at that time to be correct, as he lived at that time. Was on the fringes, you see, saw the knowledge. Was one who worked.. One who has returned quite conspicuously. And in this last existence was an orator for the Bible, denouncing his own earlier works, learning that which he had thrust aside, and then must, you see, understand the other side of the coin, as the lusty Bible thumping, hell speaking, fire breathing preacher, evangelist.

Q How accurate was he with his description of the teachings of Jesus in His early travels?

S About eighty percent correct.

Mark 14:55-56

And the chief priests and all the council sought for witness against Jesus to put him to death; and found none. For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.

S For even the lies that you conceive within yourself, even those patterns from time past, or the present, cannot destroy, cannot bind that which is the spiritual nature of self; cannot condemn it; cannot destroy it -only suppress it for a certain amount of time.

Mark 14:57-59

And there arose certain, and bare false witness against him, saying, We heard him say, “I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands” But neither so did their witness agree together.

S These are the thoughts and deeds that you do each day that are negative, that are against that which is the spiritual nature, that harms thy brother, thy sister, that breaks those commandments – especially those two commandments as to love thy God and thy neighbor as thyself.

Mark 14:60

And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, “Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?”

S The spirit – the I AM – does not need to defend itself. For it is of God and all else is illusion. To argue with illusion is to admit the illusion exists, and that cannot be done.

Mark 14:61-62

But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, “Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” And Jesus said, “I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”

S The Light must be lit within the darkness; the Word must be given in the silence, that the Lord thy God may be justified, that the Lord thy God may be known.

Mark 14:63-65

Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, “What need we any further witnesses? Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye?” And they all condemned him to be guilty of death. And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

S And the high priest of self, the ego, rips that which is as the material world, the material covering (for to the ego the material is so important, so great), not realizing in the rending of that which is the material is the destruction of that which is the ego itself, and even that which is the force of the servants of the ego, that in using force they destroy selves. For it is true. Those that live by the sword, die by the sword.

Mark 14:66-68

And as Peter was beneath in the palace, there cometh one of the maids of the high priest: And when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, “And thou also wast with Jesus of Nazareth.” But he denied, saying, “I know not, neither understand I what thou sayest.” And he went out into the porch, and the cock crew.

S This, which happens with faith and its ups and downs, in a time when faith is not truly established, as even Peter truly established faith later within himself, and saw that the body, and the body’s glorifications, the mind, the ego, the mental being, is for naught – and sacrificed same to prove same. At this time within yourselves, even as within him, was that time when faith is at its low ebb, and even sinks to the lower elements, or the lower areas of the body, and does not come forth – even though faith, in itself, is a life force. Then it was used, you see, in this case, within your selves, as those lower elemental life forces within self.

Q Were any others of the twelve in the vicinity of the place where Jesus was being held?

S Not very near. No. They had fled, and even several taken to the trees.

Mark 14:69

And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.

S This is that which you would consider the consciousness within self – the conscience – probing at faith, asking faith, “Hey, come forward!”

Mark 14:70-72

And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, “Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.” But he began to curse and to swear, saying, “I know not this man of whom ye speak.” And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said unto him, “Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.” And when he thought thereon, he wept.

S This was the actual making of Peter. This is when Peter became truly faith. For the door was before him, and he opened it with his tears – not of remorse, but of awakening. And from that time on, Peter became that which, in truth, is the key to heaven, is the key to the door – faith.

Q Is the legend that Peter was crucified upside down correct?

S It is correct.

Q After Peter denied Jesus three times he wept. The Source said he wept tears of awakening and became faith. With this in mind, why did Peter have himself crucified upside down?

S Well, Peter didn’t want to have himself crucified–but it came to him that he must. Therefore, there were two reasons here. He had little choice in the matter. The little choice, though, within himself, responded to the fact that faith would turn the world upside down, that it was not to be more humble than Jesus. The Romans of the period, or the power of the period, thought it highly amusing to reverse the situation and thought that it would degrade Peter the more. However, the word passed quickly that Peter had made this decision, and only Peter’s standing among the people of the time. [10-64]

Q Can we be given the year, as we measure time today?

S As you measure time today (not Julian), Gregorian. We have it. As you measure time today, 64.

Q In reading 10-47, it indicates that Peter’s death took place in 40 to 42 AD. Then in reading 10-60, appears to contradict this, indicating that he died in 64 AD. Please clarify.

S Oh, you have the fault of the Gregorian calendar and, you see, the Greek, or that which is the Hindic calendar, or that by the lunar calendar being correct. Year 44 is best. [10-105]

Now we give that which is the love, the blessings of the Light, the servants of the Light, and of the Beloved – the Lamb. Behold that which is the Word. Behold that which is peace. Have faith – brothers, sisters. Have faith. For love is.
