Mark 16: Resurrection and Faith's TriumphThis document delves into the final chapter of the Gospel of Mark, focusing on themes such as the resurrection of Jesus, the role of faith, and the spread of the gospel, resurrection and faith’s triumph.

Mark 16

Mark 16:1:

And when the Sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come and anoint him.

S There are those that see more of the physical, and yet are enlightened people that are on their way. In yourself these are the actions that are not polished, not totally God-centered; done in a spiritual manner, but not in the action that comes free[ly] at that time. Yet, they are necessary before they may become those actions which are involuntary and a pouring forth of that which is the God through yourselves.

Mark 16:2:

And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun.

S Here you have that which is the awakening, the rising of the sun, meaning both at that time in the sky and that time which is the rising within selves of that which is the knowledge that the Christ is alive, Christ is aware, Christ is.

Mark 16:3-4:

And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

S Faith gives birth, in essence, to that which is the Christ Force, which pushes aside, then, all matter, whether it be negative or positive elements within the material-mental world, to make itself known.

And now we give the love, the blessing of the Christ, of those that proceed you, of those that are the heavenly messengers. We are through with this reading at this time.

 Ram Reading 10-62 (6-9-79)

Prayer – Channel:

Oh Father-Mother God, we thank You for Your presence. We thank You for our gathering. We thank You for the opportunity to serve you. We ask, Father, that the presence of Jesus the Christ be with us that we may be guided and used for Thy purposes and none other.

Behold the Lamb. Behold Love. Behold the Light. Behold thy God. For it is ever right to present yourself unto your God, knowing He is just, He is merciful, loving and kind. It is well to come before Him, not hiding in your own way, from yourselves, what you are. For He knows what you truly are. Therefore, be joyful in the Lord. Be content in the Lord. Be one with God.

It is now the time of rejoicing. For now is the time of the Lamb, rather than that which is Ram. And in this time to be, and is, shall come that which is the word of the Lord as to that which is the coming of the Light, the Love, the Hope and Glory, Mercy Itself.

Mark 16:5-6:

And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. And he saith unto them, “Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.”

S The mind, the personalities, that which you have trained to be, is in shock, always, when it does confront that which is the truth – even if it is that which is the angelic host, or the awakening within yourselves as to the presence of the spiritual conditions. And yet, be not afraid. Have not fear. For all that will suffer is that which is the ego, that which is the physical, that which is the self-image or concept as constructed in the material world.

Q How long was the period of time between the crucifixion of our Master and His ascension?

S Well, you’re getting into something I don’t think you can understand. I will give you this: too long for Him involved, but very short as ye would see time. Ascension was, as your timetable, within 72 hours. [10-23]

Q What is the significance of the man sitting on the right side?

S This is the right path. This is the right thinking. This is the right way. This is righteousness.

Mark 16:7:

“But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you.”

S Even as the disciples, even as the multitudes that believed, spread that which is the Word in belief, in the excitement of love, in the joy of the spirit, so in yourselves, in your very thoughts, your actions, through every fiber, every nerve, every cell, proclaim that which is the risen Christ, that you may find that which they found upon meeting that which is the Son, the Light, the Way, the Truth – Love.

Mark 16:8:

And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulchre; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they anything to any man; for they were afraid.

S How often when those first inclinations, those first urgings, first realizations come upon the individuals, do the individuals fear. Even those who have proclaimed they are seeking – how often have you known them to express fear in their meditations, or the revelations that come in meditation, or the quieting, or even through prayer. But have no fear. Forever is God loving, merciful and kind. Else why would He give you the Way, the Truth, the Light, in the form of Jesus the Christ risen.

Q Please explain the difference in the accounts between John and Mark, wherein John states that the women stopped Peter and John and told them, that being the reason Peter and John came to the sepulchre.

S Even as there are different views at this time in this circle, even as the words are defined within each and every mind in a different way, even as each individual in this group sees color, hues, densities, slightly different, so you will find even in the versions as given, or bandied about, that which are as different scenes. Know you this: The interference of man is, to a degree, allowable, and some distortion as individuals would have it, or would see it, occur. The truth is unchanging. Yet, the truth itself is as a pyramid that you must go up, by stages, to reach that which is the apex or the pinnacle.

Mark 16:9-11:

Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not.

S When the Christ and the love awakens within an individual, or is allowed its freedom, through that which it has cleansed through prayers of the individual and the meditations (that of the seven centers of the body), so often, and always to a degree, it is repelled by that which is the mind, or the ego. For even those who condition themselves and cleanse and prepare the mind are never truly aware of the magnitude, the depth, the power that is unleashed. In the impossibility to account for this power, this greatness, man recoils. For it is the nature of the beast not (in truth in the depths of self) to believe there is a power beyond or greater than the individual selfness. And even the greatest of souls must come to grips with this. When this occurs and the individual is able to accept this through the many layers of the subconscious mind, through that which is the outer covering of the conscious mind, then the entity may become enlightened, or as that which is a hand, a tool of God, as he of Assisi, as he that is called the Buddha, and others have come to know.

Mark 16:12-13:

After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them.

S Even as those people at that time who first met the Lord, not appearing in that which they conceived the Lord to be, and yet with the might and power that there is no denying of the Lord, as those in times to come will know when He reappears in the might and glory. Yet again, there is always that battle, that fight within mankind to preserve itself as greater than that which is the spiritual. How often you see it in those that are the churches, the governments, the systems of this day, that even when presented with the facts of that which means life or death – how often would these bodies choose death rather that submit themselves to that which is a power beyond themselves.

Q Could you describe the form in which He appeared?

S First as a ball of light, changing into that which was understandable in the eyes of man, the human shape. The entities, at that time, believed [at] first they were seeing that which is the angelic host, but then realized, not by words from life, but by the love that is established within every individual awakened, jumping for joy, enlightened for the moment.

Q Is there any significance in the two being given this privilege?

S Not so much as we in the past have given in these readings as to the significance of names or places.

Q Was the physical form in which He appeared the one that He had on the cross?

S This is correct. There was a reduction of the wounds, a resumption of the body, as they would understand it to be, yet aglow, a light.

Q Christ?

S If ye seek that which is the Light of the Christ, you will find the light of yourself. This is that which cannot be hidden – not even by the bushel basket, not even by the carcass that you carry around. For the light is the Light of God.

Mark 16:14:

Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.

S Eleven you have here. Eleven were there. And in the heart of each was that which cried out, that sought the joy of the Lord. And yet, in those eleven was there one who truly accepted the Lord? No, not one. Therefore, the proof must be made, even as in this group the proof shall be made.

Mark 16:15:

And he said unto them, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”

S And how are you to preach? By love, by kindness, berating not, criticizing not, but with a smile, with a helping hand, with love, by doing those things as the Master of Life has taught you to do – being kind, always being merciful, always relying upon that which is God rather than man.

Mark 16:16:

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

S Baptism is of the spirit rather than the flesh. Therefore, call upon Christ to baptize you. For regardless of the position of self in the world of mankind, or as how you see yourself, it is Christ that baptizes. For when there were none to be Christed, there was one who was given the power to become Christed. And yet, He that was to become Christed, Jesus, called upon mankind to work that which is love – even as John was called upon and recoiled from that task, knowing the why, the wherefore. You, too can become that which is the catalyst, the channel for others to call upon the Christ, that they, too, may become baptized in truth. For water, for words are not baptism. Flesh is not baptized. Mind is not baptized. But an entity, as an entity, is baptized by the Word of God, the Christ – no other way.

Q This is a difficult statement to grasp with the concept of the Prince of Peace and Love.

S Well, it’s been elaborated on since the speaker was, at that time, pointing out that this is the way, this is the baptism of the spirit, not of the water. And the condemnation was the return over and over on the wheel of karma until there is baptizing of the spirit and that which is the mercy, and the grace, pulls the entity away from that karmic wheel. Too wordy for the ancients and too many did not understand. [10-16]

Mark 16:17:

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;”

S Here you have that which happens within yourselves. What are the devils within yourselves? Desire, selfishness, criticism, materiality. What are the new tongues? Words of love, truth, wisdom, comfort, gentleness. Ye need not speak in those tongues that are unknown. Ye may not have to do great deeds. For when you are baptized with the Holy Spirit from the Christ, then self will do these things. For you will be as that which is a tool of God. But if you would be a tool of God before, or until that time that you have been so blessed, then think and act in the pattern as given, in the Christ Jesus manner.

Q “What is the difference in speaking in tongues today as you hear of in some churches, and the speaking in tongues as it is found in the Bible or that spoken of in the Bible?”

S Speaking of tongues in the Bible, is that which was by the spirit, at first. Later on, even in Paul’s time, you see, even as he spoke against same–became that which is an ego mechanism, especially from the subconscious and the endocrine secretions with individuals rather than that which is a spiritual thing.

Q What really happened with speaking in tongues? It was once mentioned to me, that when they spoke in tongues people understood in different languages what was being said. Is this right?

S This usually is that which is the ego again. Anyone can give forth a babbling, a mishmash, and have another translate it as they would have it be. There are some who speak in that which is truly tongues. However, that tongue usually given is that which is the Indo-European tongue, which is the root tongue of all western language. [10-18]

Mark 16:18:

“They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

S For the mind, the subconscious is full of poisons. The mouth is like a serpent. And the actions of selfishness are sickness. Well it is written, “Physician, cure thyself.” For herein lies the works. Once you correct that which is yourself – not fault-finding with yourself, not critical of yourself, but loving and kind, dedicating the change to God and not self, then you will find that you, too, will have handled the serpents, the poisons, what have you. And He that is the Master of Life will have overcome them for you.

Q What understanding did the disciples have about the healing energies of the laying on of the hands?

S Actually very little, other than it was the force of God, through Christ, working within themselves. They were not versed in that which you would call science, physiology, and thus acted through the spiritual impulses and the spiritual understandings. Therefore, to them, that which occurred was not a phenomenon of the body or the mental, but rather that which was the working of the spiritual nature of themselves as accelerated and magnified by that which was the Holy Spirit at work. [10-107]

Mark 16:19-20:

So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

S You, too, may do those things. You, too, in the time to come, may sit by His right hand. But now is the time of work. Now is the time of example. Now is the time of trust. Now is the time of love. This is the path. This is the way. In times of trouble, in times of tribulation, He will take your hand. Have no fear. For fear is of that of the ego, of the mental man rather than the spiritual man.

Q At our last work reading a reference was made to Mark 17. Now in our Bibles we only have sixteen chapters in Mark. What was meant by this?

S The 17th is a deleted chapter here. Yes, deleted for the obvious reasons. The 17th begins in this manner, which will give you a clue to the reason why it is not in your Bibles: “And the acts they performed through the glory of God and the Christ that lay within, was to all known who they had been and were–their past and their future. And in the glory of God walking among them, they spread that which was the knowledge of love, truth, that all men have been, are, and will be again. That in the act of mercy and goodness God has given a way for man to make up to himself that which were his downfalls before. And those who know, glorify God, for His love, His mercy.” [10-62]

Q Why were we asked to read the 17th chapter of Mark which does not exist in our bibles?

S To find out.

Q Would it be appropriate to read the beginning of Chapter 17 that we have previously been given?

S It is correct.

Mark 17:1

And the acts they performed, through the glory of God and the Christ that lay within, was to all known who they had been and were – their past and their future. And in the glory of God, walking among them, they spread that which was the knowledge of love, truth, that all men have been, are, and will be again. That in the acts of mercy and goodness, God has given a way for man to make up to himself that which were his downfalls before. And those who know, glorify God for His love, His mercy.

S This is as the way it was written. This is as the way it was done. This is for those who will find the way through the search and allowing that which is the soul force to guide that which are the souls to guide, when allowed, the mind, the intellect of the individuals.

Q Could any more be given at this time?

S Not at this time, but (in a prior time, more apropos) will be given that which is the entirety of the chapter or that which are the verses to the chapter.

Q Was this chapter taken out by the church and by the Pope at the time of that council in Nicaea, following the anathemas against Origen?

S Sometime prior to save that which was the foundation of Christianity as believed in at that time. For there was an ultimatum given, you see, that if this were not done so by the time of this council, there would be the destruction of the church as known; that all in authority would be replaced and a downgrading of that which is the Christian ethics or beliefs would have occurred. This is through the one called Theodosis.

Q This is Theodora?

S Theodosis, the servant of that which was the empress, correct.
