Matthew 12: Deeper Symbolic Meaning of Jesus’ TeachingsThe document provides a detailed esoteric and spiritual interpretation of Matthew 12 from the Bible and Jesus’ teachings. It covers various teachings and events in the chapter, including Jesus’ interactions with the Pharisees, his healing miracles, and his teachings on spiritual principles. The analysis delves into the deeper symbolic meanings of these narratives, relating them to themes like the power of faith, spiritual awakening, and the relationship between the material and spiritual realms.

Matthew 12:1-2

At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, “Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day”.

S Example here is that in God’s time there is no law as law pertains to this earth. For once ye have achieved, even as Jesus the Christ has achieved, there is no more man’s law nor even God’s law for this plane. For the illusion is no longer in need of law. For the illusion is being overcome or is overcome. The Pharisees are that which, inside of self, calls back to that which you have been trained to obey, that which is the material world, that which is the society that the entities are raised within. Each and every individual society has its materialist leaning. Therefore, this is that which will call, or be the stumbling block, to those who would eat of God’s abundance in the spiritual sense.

Q Were they in a wheat field rather than corn, because of corn being an English expression of the time?

S This is the grain commonly called corn at that time, which is wheat today, or a cousin of the wheat.

Matthew 12:34

But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him; How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?

S Using here a real incident to show that which is a spiritual way, for ye cast aside that which are the laws of man (in) even as David represents love, or man’s love seeking that which is the next love, the Christ love. What is putting aside [is] that which is man’s love of materiality and seeking God love (being God love as far as man can) and going within self to find that which is unlawful for those who seek in the wrong manner, to feed upon that which is God Himself, the I AM within, the Christ.

Q Is there any significance in shewbread as a symbol?

S Yes. Remember this: that David, when he fled for his life, came upon the temple. And he and those with him (five to be exact) needed that which was food and asked so in the temple. Though it was not the great temple, yet it was a temple, consecrated, holy bread was there. What did he ask? He asked for bread. He was told only the shewbread was available. His answer was that he was sanctified and the bread was not sanctified any longer. It was a meting, and a meeting that ye must come to same. For see, the bread was there to feed the body, but also there was that which was as the sword taken from Goliath that which ye must raise yourself. For how did David put it? No greater sword is there. This is the symbol: that you must eat of the house of the Lord, sanctified, in between, in the middle the balance, and ye take then the sword and go forth. [10-45, 5-7-78]

Matthew 12:5-8

Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless? But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple. But If ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

S This, then, is saying that the Christ is greater than the body, greater than the knowledge, greater than the intellect, greater than the material world itself. And that which ye would have is not by sacrifice from that which is God, but by love. The mercy of God, then, to those who would seek and find the way, is the knowledge that this world is nothing but a stage, or staging area, as you would have it, to the great leap forward and upward, or the rising from that consciously from the low level to that which is the sublime.

Matthew 12:913

And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue: And behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, “Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days?” that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, “What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath day?”. Then saith he to the man, “Stretch forth thine hand”. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.

S Here then, if ye would reach for God, in truth, ye shall be healed. Maybe not to the outward man, that which is the inward, the understanding to the fullest therein. Man’s law does not apply. Once again this is saying, there are laws for those who would inherit this earth, but for those who would inherit the kingdom of God, there is that straight path upward and away. And the helping hand of the Christ is always there for those would seek in truth, and not in selfishness, nor self, but in truth, in love, especially for their brothers, their sisters.

Matthew 12:14-21

Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him. But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all; And charged them that they should not make him known: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, “Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust”.

S Here you have that which are the Gentiles of self, the Pharisees of self, and the Christ within self. Then depart from those thoughts, or that which the mind, that which consciously, and to a degree subconsciously, has builded into a personality, or a thing, rather, that would deny the Christ, deny the search, and would find reasons and rationalizations and ways of putting aside the search or the finding of God and the Holy Spirit, the Way. Thence you have that, then, which is the guide. Seek. Seek ever and find. For that which is abundant within self is God’s love, and that which is abundant on the outside of self is that which has been developed by self over these eons of time, that ye would have life be, rather than succumbing to that which are the forces of God and goodness, they being one.

We give our love, our blessings to those who seek to see and know His face. For He is ever with thee and walks and talks with thee. Then in the spirit of love, stretch out thy hand, physically, mentally, and spiritually, at this time, and He will touch it. We then give the love, the blessings, that is in our realm to give.

Prayer – Channel

Oh loving Father,

make us Thy messengers, that that which

comes through us will be as the light for Thy

children, that through the light they may come

to see and to know Thy presence.

Source:

There is but one Lord God, and His name is Wonderful. Behold His presence, and know that it is He and not thyselves who has created. We will give forth with that which is best, that which is as the light, that which is love and mercy.

Matthew 12:22-24

Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed, and said, “Is not this the son of David”? But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.”

S Here is that which is love, or love of man. And yet love of man is limited and even man himself knows same. And that which lies within the individual, even as love, is as that which is measured by human standards, or the mind self, or that portion of the mind, which is as the material gauge, seeing itself as the Pharisees and then that which is as the prince of death. The prince of death, through that which is the spiritual sector of mankind, is that then, you see, who is claimed, then, by that which are the Pharisees, or that which is the doubting mind, or the material mind, or the gauge of the material, as to put a lid or that which is a line of powers to that which is love, seeing it only in that light that is man’s love and therefore limited.

Matthew 12:25

And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand”:

S Even as given: when principles in a person, in an individual, in an entity, are as divided as to that which is as the path that it will take, so that temple, that man, that personality, must fade and fall. There must be a choosing. For either you would be even as a son of God following the light of One, or ye must fall, divided, knowing not which way you go. For even those who would choose the way of darkness rather than the light find solidity in that which is a path. And though their path may deviate, it may come again to that which is the light. Therefore, it is better, you see, even to choose the darkness rather than have no choosing or to be divided in choice.

Q If an individual is divided, as stated, how can one help the person to see that fact and not use it as a means of drawing attention to self?

S Even as given in Matthew 12:7, that the Lord requires not sacrifice but mercy. For one who would give a smile is worth ten thousand words. If one would do a deed of mercy, it is worth a lifetime of lectures. For one act of mercy does more than paintings, the printed word, that which are sermons. For true mercy is that which comes only after love. For there are two things that are paramount– love and mercy. Ye may say that there are those who are merciful, who have no love. Not true. For those who have no love and do things ye would call merciful, have not done merciful things. Illusion. If ye have love, ye have all things. If you can do merciful things through love, ye have attained. For He, the Christ, is mercy. For He is of the Father. How spoke He in the flesh? I and the Father are one.And then He gave to thee, You and I are one, that ye may be one with the Father.” If ye would show the way to others who know not the way, are befuddled, or torn asunder, show love and mercy. For love and mercy are the arms and hands of God.

Q I have been troubled by the necessity of loving everybody, but I value everybody. Is valuing somebody the same as what youre speaking of, this kind of love?

S No. If you love God, then you love all things, all beings, all thoughts. Ye may not love the husk. Ye may not love the values of others -or things. Ye may not love the material. But if ye love God and act through God, then you are showing love and mercy. For mercy is that which is God in action through self. Therefore, you have let that which is the Father work His way. Ye do not have to love the leper. Love God and let the actions occur.

Q How do you keep sympathy out of the picture? Just having empathy is what we‘re to do, but sometimes it seems like sympathy rather than empathy.

S Well, you must work on it. You’ve been taught sympathy. You have been thought at for sympathy. Sympathy is that which is as (would be called a word and action of the West) a taught thing. It is that which was created by the Greek mind for the western man, to be used as a steppingstone to that which is empathy and understanding and patience. Was never intended to be that which is as it has become.

Q If you respect everybody, is that the same thing?

S No.

Q Are you saying that if you learned to love God, then you don’t have to worry about loving?

S You love God and your actions will speak of it. For you cannot love that which is not God. For that which is as the husk, the carnal man, the meat, the carcass, the actions, are not God – they are illusion. You cannot love that which is not so. Ye cannot respect that which is not so. And ye cannot value that which is not so. Therefore, learn to love God, and realize in that which is the illusion of thy fellow man is that which is the spark, the seed of God, the I AM force. The soul of the individual is their reality, their true identity. Love that.

Matthew 12:26

And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

S This is to point out: your actions are you – oh, the good words, the good thoughts – but the actions. There is that which has been said of old, laughingly, but so true, “actions speak louder than words. How many, how many have lost sight of the path, lost the way, though they spoke eloquently, oh, they thought eloquently, lovingly, and kindly but their actions were not.

Matthew 12:27-28

And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore, they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

S The children, so mentioned here, are the thoughts, the actions, the evaluations. For even as God is the Father whose thought is that which is the Holy Spirit or action, so your thoughts are your children, too. That ye may judge yourself is as a fact. For as ye pass over, ye must judge yourself, your actions, your accomplishments, before once again facing that which is either reality, or that which is more illusion, or that which is the material illusion of this earth plane.

Matthew 12:29

Or else how can one enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods,

except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

S Strong man being that which is the spiritual nature of self. For if ye would bind that by your thoughts, by your actions, then you invite that which is as even the satanic, or the evil, or that which misses the mark, the sin, into thyself, into thy presence, to become part of self. Choose!

Matthew 12:30

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

S How often has this been misused! What is being said here, there is no purpose, there is no way, but the way through Christ, the way to God. For remember illusion can be no more than illusion. However long it takes in man‘s time, it is still nothing. lt is illusion. Therefore, ye must find and seek the path, through the Christ, the Way, the Truth, and the Light.

Matthew 12:31

Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

S Once again, misused, misunderstood, and even misquoted. For here the Holy Spirit is as that which is the discovery within self. That, even as given before, that the Holy Spirit is as the offspring, the thought of God, the action of God, so within self ye sin only in that which is the misuse of thought. For if ye think wrong, ye have done wrong. What is wrong? That which is away from that which is God. You have here, then, even that which is sin itself-selfishness – by turning away from the knowledge of God for self, by rejecting. For those who have found the path and then reject it, recant, what have you, then they have destroyed that which is the incarnation and brought more woe upon their head[s]. For they must face it and in greater depth the next coming.

Q What does it mean, ”that everything can be forgiven man except to sin against the Holy Spirit”?

S To sin against the Holy Spirit is to repress that which is the God within by piling upon it that burden of selfego, vanity that precludes the use of the free flow of the Holy Spirit; for example, those who are even as those Atlanteans that missed the boat, that went astray, holding back even a ten thousand, twenty thousand years in that which is returning to this plane. This is holding back the Holy Spirit. This is the sin against the Holy Spirit. This is what tortures the soul. This cannot be forgiven man, for man must thrust it aside and become more than man, leaving the curse with man, even as you would leave this body, in grace, and become one with the Father. [10-7, 3-10-74]

Matthew 12:32

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

S Reincarnation, karma, this is the theme. Ye may speak against the man who is Jesus. Ye may speak against yourself. But when you sin against that which is the thought of God, or the awakening, or the awareness of God, it is not forgiven until ye have made it up, or met the fruits, even through that which is the karmic wheel.

Q In referencing this by so many churches and those that would preach, it seems to be to the extent that it never would be forgiven.

S This is their misunderstanding of that which is the world to come.

Q Are thoughts considered sins of commission?

S Normally so. Sometimes they are omission when the thoughts are not channeled towards the needs of the world, the needs that represent an opportunity of God within this material plane. When commission or omission is designated, it is only a matter of fact, or after the fact, that designates the term.

Q It was given previously that even our thoughts are numbered. How are the thoughts numbered?

S They’re numbered by God, rather than by number [e.g.] ye will do one billion, seven hundred million, five hundred thousand, et cetera, et cetera thoughts. It is as your own recorder records all the thoughts ye have had since the time that ye have been given that which is the opportunity to think. All thoughts become that which is a storehouse, a treasure house – regardless of the type of thought. For ye, as those who would become gods, must know all things, must be aware of all conditions (and these are thoughts), before ye can assume that which is as the spirit to become that which is as creative and masters of that which God the Father would have you be.

Q  I’ve understood from the Cayce material that the sins of commission can be forgiven and sins of omission have to be met. Apparently, there isn’t a conflict here but 1 can’t resolve it in my mind.

S Anytime ye have lost the opportunity, ye must meet that opportunity again. As to that which is as forgiving, all is forgiven. Yet, you must meet yourself and must measure yourself, and where ye have failed to use the opportunity that is afforded, then ye must meet that opportunity again. That which is as those karmic situations that ye must meet very well must be met again. For instance, if ye do not lend a smile and the helping hand, ye must meet that yourself, judge yourself, and strive for the opportunity to meet same again, that ye may frost the cake so to speak. But for that which is as the understanding of hurt that ye have done another, that must be met. Not as frosting, but as baking the cake, putting the ingredients together, meeting the fact. One is as that which is the opportunity – and yet opportunities must be met over and over until accomplishment is. There, then, is that which is as the measure that must be met, or it will be ladled to self, only more so at the next opportunity.

Q If one has erred in this regard and then forgives somebody else for the same fact …

 S This is mercy.

Q Does this bring forgiveness to the individual who forgives?

S If ye would have mercy (which is forgiveness), then ye must give mercy. But remember the first rule: it must be through love of God.

Q Please comment on forgiveness in relation to the law of retribution?

S Retribution is that which all owe. Forgiveness is attained through that which are the works beyond, or the full use of the opportunity. This is in line, which has been given to you, of the sins of commission and omission.

Q If a person forgives somebody of a really nasty thing, is it correct to believe that by doing that, as the law is equal (‘as ye sow, so shall ye reap”), that the act of forgiving this would wipe out the same offense in the background of the entity?

S First, let us understand, there are levels here. You may look at those who have done something to you and say, “I forgive” and ye have done something, ye have helped yourself in the physical. But if you look at that entity, or those entities, and say in truth, from the depth of thy being, ”I forgive” (even as the man Jesus did same), then the debt is removed. The law of mercy and grace are the order. [10-45, 5-7-78]

Matthew 12:33

Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.

S Once again this is the opportunity to go either way, and even through the corruption ye may find the path once again. For the opportunity will come. But those who are divided and cannot bear fruit either way, lose themselves, and these are so often those who come back as mindless, who come back who cannot choose, who are helpless, invalided, mental retardation, idiots, imbeciles. These are those who could not choose one way or another. lt is better for you to sin than find nothing.

Matthew 12:34

O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

S Here‘s the tongue that, unbridled, hurts. It is the thought that guides the tongue. Better in that edition as Lamsa, for here was used scorpion. Scorpion, the sign Scorpio, those who assume that greatest portion of karmic debt of selves and accomplish the most in overcoming the debt, is as the symbol best used than the viper. For the viper is that which strikes and kills and has no emotion. Whereas the Scorpio is that which is the emotional, too, and brings to self, then, or chooses for self, rather, to face the greater karmic undertakings. And in the success of same, finds mercy and forgiveness. For what is forgiveness but grace.

Matthew 12:35-37

A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you,” That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.”

S Self is that which leads self and judges self. It is a circle – a circle broken only by that which is grace. Therefore, when ye think, channel thy thoughts to the constructive or that which you would consider the constructive, not the destructive. By your words you are known. By your actions you are known. This is your fruit and your own spirit. Your own self judges and knows the fruits better than anyone else.

Matthew 12:38.41

Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, “Master, we would see a sign from thee”. But he answered and said unto them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

S What is meant here, ”a greater than Jonas”: the Christ is greater than Jonas. Jonas is that prophetic thought, or that which here are those who have the light, the understanding, and become self-righteous, those who judge others. For even those who have repented, have thought again, have changed their ways, their habits, their words, their thoughts. They, then, are greater than those who have that which is an abundance of God’s knowledge, wisdom, truth, and do not use the wisdom. For it is in condemning, ye are condemned. For it is in lack of wisdom that ye fall. Therefore, use, then, that which is given to you, the best. For even as Jonas was swallowed by that which was his own thought, his ego, and was saved by God, cast upon the shore, so ye must turn to God in all things to be saved. For Jonas, though prophetic, though having the knowledge, did not show the wisdom. For did he not miss the opportunity when God caused that which is as the gourd to be formed above him to save him from the rays? The gourd here, then, was that which was the castor plant to save him from the physical evils, the sicknesses brought on by his own mind. Did he not scorn and cause, then, his own mind‘s thought as worms to destroy that which is the gourd? This is the lesson to be learned here. Be not as Jonah. As ye have the knowledge come to you, be you ever wise, be merciful, be loving.

Q Does that explain why he (]onas) was so unhappy at the gate, because the Lord saved the city?

S He in his ego, seeing himself as right and righteous, wished the Lord to strike down those who he felt sinned. He judged! And judgment fell upon him.

Q I‘ve heard that some translators say that someone in a big fish is thsame as today saying somebody’s in a big stew, when we mean a state of anxiety. Is this true?

S Could be used, but he was swallowed by his ego. In any situation, any situation that is as that, whale was as that, used for symbolic reasons.

Q What is meant by ”so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth‘?

S Each and every individual must meet that which was given, or that which was exampled by Jesus the Christ. For ye must sacrifice that and destroy that which is as the ego-built man, or the ego built by man, and become that which is the Christ, destroying that, even as the Christ gave up that which was Himself, Jesus, to become the Christ, so you must do the same. Be not as Jonas who was swallowed by his ego rather than destroying it.

Q There is a conflict that has confused a lot of people in the translation here regarding the three days and three nights. Actually, the Master died apparently at the ninth hour on Friday. Friday night and Saturday night and resurrection Sunday morning are not three days and three nights. What does this refer to if it does not refer to the crucifixion?

S It refers to a measure of time that ye must destroy that which is the outer man, that which is the inner man, the ego, that which is even the sacrificing of that which ye have built towards that which is as the subconscious mind by baring it completely, that it may be cleansed and become the true identity.

Q In regard to Easter morning, I understood He was still not ...

S That is correct. Not complete.

Q So actually seventytwo hours could have taken place before the completion. Is that possible?

S As man sees it in time, yes.

Matthew 12:42

The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.

S Within thine own body, that which are as the gonads is the queen of the south, even as representational in, sometimes, as Egypt or the lower areas. That which is Solomon, the wisdom, is as the pineal. And yet, the greater is that which can be raised up to, that ye may find heaven within self, the l AM, that which is the pituitary. And in meditation, and only through meditation, can self then find the greater. Therefore, go to that which is the greater. Stop nowhere in between.

Q In meditation does the creative force rise directly to the top centers and then flow down through the rest of the body, or does it go up chakra by chakra, or opening by opening?

S First the creative force starts in that which is the solar plexus area. It vibrates down to that which are as the gonads– not through them but around through the body until it forms as a circular path. Then it rises as through that which are the lower centers to the higher centers. Therefore, that which begins the raising of the Holy Spirit, or the forces of Christ within self, and going through chakra, chakra afterwards, is that which comes from the solar plexus

Q What is the significance of the folded hands in that area? [when lying down]

S As the arms pick up that, for, see, that which is the elbow, or the joints of the elbow of the entities act as that which pick up the radiating force which bring them down to that which is as the gonadal area, or the lowest area of the body to be affected. ln some entities, however, that which is developed is as the knee area. They are those who have meditated much and have gained much. Therefore, through the palms into the knees and then upward inside the femoral artery to that area which is the gonadal area does the spirit work, or the force work, then through that which is the rising within self, through the chakras, occurs.

Matthew 12:43-45

When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

S This is the warning for those who through meditation raise that which is the Holy Spirit among self, or that called to the Holy Spirit, or that who deny then the Holy Spirit, or even that which is brought forth in self, the Christ. For then they empty their house. These are those who become possessed. For each and every, then, center of the body has opened itself to that which is the world thought and the evil therein to possess self. There are those who seem to remain on even keel. Yet they have destroyed that which is the opportunity and cannot in the same lifetime work it over, regardless of how much they repent. For the opportunity has been destroyed. For the centers of self, of the spiritual self, are located in self in those areas. And when cast aside, it is even as an entity who has lost the soul through action to the body, where the body should have died and has not died, and then becomes an animalistic thing – a hulk you might say with only the animal spirit at work. It is empty of the soul. So the spiritual centers of self, have been emptied. They go then to that which is the astral body, in total, and wait until the chance of redemption comes again that they may enter another body and begin again, and then and therefore must accomplish the more. Much time, or often times, you find these among the very holy men who realize what they have done, have raised themselves to an estate before. Therefore, then, the state must be assumed again and from there they must then go forward again and upward. Therefore, many of those who are mistermed masters, who in truth master the body and the material plane, are of this vintage.

Matthew 12:46-49

While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him. Then one said unto him, “Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.” But he answered and said unto him that told him,” Who is my mother? and who are my brethren”? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, “Behold my mother and my brethren”!

S This is to say: bring in not the outside of the materialistic world within self to judge or to be captioned. For that which is mother, brother, that which has the importance here or the meaning by mother, brother-meaning importance- is that which is developing he self or the disciples, as given, within self, those areas of the body, that ye may be about that which is thy business within this worldthy Father’s business. Bow, then, not to that which comes from the outer influence, but develop that which is the truth of thy being. Know thyself that ye may act in accordance with the knowledge and in wisdom, that ye may find mercy in this plane and mercy beyond.

Matthew 12:50

For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

S Ye who would have mercy, ye who would have love, through the Christ and in the Christ, must act, then, in the same. Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy being, with all thy soul, with all thy mind, with all thy  actions, with all thy thoughts, that ye may love thy brother as thyself. And in so doing, in this love you find mercy and are a tool of God.
