The document is a detailed spiritual and metaphysical interpretation of Matthew 13 from the Bible. It examines spiritual meaning of parables and teachings in the chapter, exploring themes like spiritual awakening, the power of faith, and the relationship between physical and spiritual realms. The analysis delves into symbolic meanings, emphasizing the importance of inner transformation and understanding divine wisdom.
Matthew 13:1–3
The same day went Jesus out of the house and sat by the seaside. And great multitudes were gathered together unto him, so that he went into a ship, and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying,” Behold, a sower went forth to sow;”
S Here Jesus was showing that to meet yourself, ye must go forth into that which is the sea of thought, and let that be your boat, the Christ, or the thought of same, that ye may not drown within thine own thoughts and thine own actions. But be not tempted by that which are the multitudes or the outside forces that would come into self or those peoples. The sower is that which plants even that which Jesus gave in this chapter, but also is self who sows thoughts.
Matthew 13:4
And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
S Even that which is the bird of the fowl is considered foul here. Even in regard(s) to Jesus‘ explanation in this, then, the scriptures, there is also that, you see, that those deeds, those thoughts become foul and destroy themselves. For illusion destroys illusion in the end.
Matthew 13:5
Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith. they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
S Once again Jesus gives this as the word, but the word within self, too, falls upon stony places – the calcified pituitary, the hard heart, or that which is the subconscious mind will not receive them and that, then, is destroyed.
Matthew 13:6
And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
S The sun here is the Christ Force, and if the thoughts have no permanence and are not that which is good, then (they) in the end, as ye become christed and become the son (s–o-n) through the light, then that which is the illusion is destroyed.
Matthew 13:7
And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
S The thorns here are the thoughts, the word[s], especially, that are thorny, that give pain, inflict wounds and choke off that which is the good, the merciful, love, causing that which is karma to be created.
Matthew 13:8-9
But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
S Then this means open up thy heart; let thy deeds be that which sow in others, love and mercy, kindness.

We find that this group at this time is in much discomfort. That which is the channel is in discomfort, to a degree, by the outward forces that are natural and therefore we would give this: that in the overcoming of that which are the natural forces, you will find the peace that ye strive for. Therefore, we would give as a dedication until the next reading that which is overcoming the pain, the hardships, the discomfort of the material – or the meat man, the mind man- replacing it by that which is the pacifistic, that which is the peace, that which is the comfort of the Christ. And we give then, our blessing of love, peace, and bestow upon you that which is the love, the mercy of the Father Almighty, and that of the Son. Mercy, love, peace. The Holy Spirit dwells among thee, the Holy Comforter is present. Know this: God is aware of thee.

Merciful Father, gracious Father,
we ask, oh Father, in Thy mercy that Thy love
pour through us. For we are unworthy, oh
Lord, except by Thy choosing and by Thy
hand. Use us then, oh Lord, that we may be as
a light and love to our brothers, our sisters,
as you would have us be so have us be, Lord.

Awaken, ye children! For the Lord is mercy, the Lord is love. Then be as that which are the tools of His hand, tools of His thought. Be as kindness, love, mercy; be humble, contrite. Be happy. Be happy in the Lord. Awaken, then, oh children of the one Lord God.
Matthew 13:10–11
And the disciples came, and said unto him, “Why speakest thou unto them in Parables”? He answered and said unto them, “Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
S You have that which is as those who have been chosen or those who have become aware that they may understand, through the guidance of the Christ within, the God without, that for those who have not yet accomplished there must be, then, the longing, the search, lest they be lost in themselves. And yet, those who are not ready, those who have not come in to learn, cannot take a shortcut, but must search and seek as the readiness comes to them.
Matthew 13:12
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
S This is as the opposites given here. For those who have been given are those who have earned the right to get, to seek, who have come in to seek, to find. But for those who have turned away, those who are as bound to this earth and this plane, they, then, will lose the opportunity. It is as a choosing, not as that which has been chosen for, but by the entities themselves. For even as ye come in, you come in to learn a lesson. For some it is the turning away. For some it is the opportunity to choose in the life whither they will go. And for others, they have chosen but to do one thing, and one thing only: that is to find the Lord thy God, in thine own way, in thine own path.
Matthew 13:13
Therefore, speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
S This again is that which is understood as: for to climb another way is as sin, or missing the mark, or that which is the thief. For ye will ascend only through that which is the Christ Force, the I AM discovered in self.
Q ”For ye cannot ascend” – Is ‘can’ meant here or is there some other meaning?
S Well, you can use the word, will, or even – will would be the best. [10-46, 5–13-78]
Matthew 13:14
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
S Isaiah is that which is representational here of the cleansing force within the body. And only through the cleansing force can ye understand, can ye hear, can ye see that which is the Truth, the Light, and the Way. Therefore, as given, only through the cleansing can you find the way. Ye are lost, ye cannot see, ye cannot hear the truth if ve do not cleanse. And what is cleansing? Prayer and meditation.
Matthew 13:15
For this people‘s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and
their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
S The opportunity here is not for those who had hardened their heart, who would not listen, who would not be. But ever ready is the Christ to do those things as promised. For the promise is good. The promise is clear. The promise is true. For through the Christ, and only through the Christ, can ye attain that which is as everlasting life.
Matthew 13:16–17
But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, “That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear and have not heard them.
S Those that He spoke to at that time were those who were chosen, not necessarily those who had earned, but those who had chosen. For that which is as the mercy of God is not understood by man. Yet there is a law, there is a way, there is a path for all, even if they are not chosen, that they may earn the right, find the way, that God then may choose them through their own seeking, their own finding of that which is the truth within the life pattern, the life stream. Allow that, then, within selves to be both the seeking and the choosing.
Matthew 13:18-19
Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside.
S Those who have the opportunity of choosing, that have come in, knowing they may choose, and allow that which is the world thought, or selfishness, to impede, to block, to make that which is a stumbling block or the turning away, then have that which is the karmic rebuttal to face.
Matthew 13:20-21
But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
S These are those who cannot cast aside themselves, but count God‘s grace, mercy, love, only as to the benefits of the material or the physical or the mental man, rather than that which is as the spiritual being, and apply God‘s love only to themselves as they measure same, and so doing must then cast aside the reality, the power, the grace.
Matthew 13:22–23
He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it, which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.
S The opportunity, even in that which are the times that are hurtful, the times of pressure, the times of tribulation, that can receive God and give forth love, forgiveness, understanding and patience to others, then is that which shows forth that which are the fruits of the spirit. Those who cannot, and cast aside in that time of tribulation, then have lost, and must again face the issue at another time, another place. For those who give forth manifest that which is of God, that which is God, in proportion to their understanding- a hundredfold, sixtyfold, what have you but always that which is as their understanding and their receivership manifested in the actions, the thoughts, those things that have to do with others. For this is the measure not what happens within the individual – but what the individual does to, with, and for others.
Q Is there any significance in the hundredfold, sixty, and thirty?
S This is that which is representational of a hundredfold as total. Sixtyfold as the majority of the actions – always good. For who among man that has not risen beyond the station of manhood, humanhood, can do more than all of self, the hundredfold. This, then, is the full manifestation of Christ within the life. And yet, if ye have the falling away soever, and yet the majority of the life and the thoughts are given to that which is the way, the truth, and the light, then ye are doing that which is God‘s being in action. Ye are doing that which is the Christ in action. Ye are doing that which is the spiritual nature, the truth of thy being, in action. This, then, is more than halfway.
Matthew 13:24-26
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also”.
S This is: thought is ever the thing, or things. Ye will think, ye will manifest that which is as the Christ way. The tares are those thoughts – misguided, selfish, those that are less than spiritual in nature – that creep in and must grow among that which is the truth and the light.
Q How can you determine when you are selfish?
S Even as ye are by stage, so must ye measure that which is as selfishness. For ye are as children, and must learn as progressively ye move, even as a child, through that which is the educational system by grades, by levels. When ye are aware of this or that being as a selfish motivated thing, ye have graduated to a new level, and must then learn through self and self-analysis. How have you been told to be? True to self. Understand self, and as ye understand self and become true to self, then ye begin to be that which is able to measure the thoughts, the actions, the deeds, that which are the fruits of same.
Matthew 13:27-29
So, the servants of the householder came and said unto him, ‘Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?’ He said unto them, ‘An enemy hath done this’. The servants said unto him, ‘Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up’? But he said, ‘Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them’”.
S The enemy, here, is that which is self. Self, sowing the thoughts that are wayward, that are not of the light. There can be no taking or parting of the thought patterns. Only as ye overcome and as ye manifest within the life the cleansing process, even as given before, can ye then bind up the tares and rid yourself by cleansing.
Matthew 13:30
“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest, I will say to the reapers, ‘Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn’”.
S Here, then, is the measure each day in meditation and prayer, as He calls forth “come unto me that ye may be fed.” And in doing so, in reviewing that which is self, the pros, the cons, that which is the negative and that which is the positive, and the results of same within the life, as ye face yourself, then you do bind that which is the wheat and that which is the tares. And then take that which is good to thy Father’s house and retain it within thine own temple, that ye may be measured by yourself to be that which is positive, and cast aside that which is, then, the negative – the tares, the thoughts, the actions that were not as tools of God: love, goodness, righteousness.
Q How consistent, how strong do thoughts have to be? If a person had an evil thought and immediately throws it out, is this in the same category as tares?
S When thoughts are asked for, when thoughts are sought after, they being that which you would classify as evil or the negative, then ye have done yourself an injustice. And it must stay there till it is cleansed even as given, bound up and cast aside, burned, destroyed, cleansed. If it is a passing thought, a reaction, a reflex, then cleanse it at the time. For it is not of permanence. For instant action is not as that which is premeditated or sought after. And yet, if it repeats itself, know that it is as an object to self to be about that which is the overcoming of those thoughts by building up that which is a wall of love, truth, and light, between the negative – the illusion of same, and the positive, which is the truth.
Matthew 13:31-32
Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.
S This, then, is the direction of that which is the Christ Force within self. Even as the tiny semblance, or the thought of bringing same into the life, may manifest itself by growing through that which is the physical body, through that which is as the endocrine system, pushed forward by that which is prayer and meditation, that it may fill the body and bring in the thoughts of purity, love, and goodness – that which is the spiritual in nature as manifested within the life, and as symbolic here by that, or symbolized here by that which are
the birds resting in the branches. And then in the branches is that which is the fruit.
Q Is mustard tree a correct name?
S Not especially. It was taken by those who translated, for they were aware of the power and strength of the mustard seed. Not so much, even, as that which would be from the tiniest to the greatest, but rather as the awesome power of same to push aside that which is the earth, the rocks, even as they understood concrete of that time, and become that which is even as a great plant.
Matthew 13:33
Another parable spake he unto them; “the Kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
S Here ye have that which is as the spiritual awakening or that which is as the feeding of the mind, the physical body, and the spiritual nature of self, to become one and raised up, even unto that which is the understanding of the being within the earth plane, the lessons to be learned, and the path to be taken.
Matthew 13:34-36
All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world”. Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, “Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.”
S Here is that which is turning away from the world thought, turning into self, and even the thoughts, the actions of self coming to know, coming to ask, coming to seek that which is the awakening within self, or that which is the finding of the Christ within, even as He has turned within His own house to feed that which were the disciples, or even His own thoughts, His own being.
Matthew 13:37-40
He answered and said unto them, “He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
S Symbolically, here, you have that which is the end of thine own being, thine own world, or that which can be understood either to be one life or many lives and the end of same. Whereas, that which is holy within self, that which is honest and true within self, measures and cleanses the actions and the being of self, that ye may be either returned again to find an understanding, to follow a path, or be raised up beyond this earth plane to follow a higher path, a higher learning, a higher understanding and to progress towards that which is the understanding of the other levels or higher levels, as ye ascend towards that which is the Godhead.
Q Why did Jesus refer to the term devil?
S The devil, or the bugaboo, or that which is the curse of mankind, the intelligence, the selfishness, the curiosity (it’s all one), was understood by people of the time (the ancients, or especially those who translated the thoughts, the actions which were given to them) as devil. For this was an understandable thing to the people of that time. It relates to that which is the fallen angel, or that which is the fall of selves into the earth plane, to be trapped here by that which are the negative impulses. Therefore, anything negative- be they thought or deed– is as devil, or devilish, or that which leads astray. It is not a personality. It is not especially a thing, but it is actions.
Q Did this come into Jewish thought from another religion?
S It came from several sources. Much of those who were termed later to be devil worshippers rather were nature worshippers and gave term ‘devil.’ But it also came from that which was as the first understanding of light and dark, or that which was the understanding of Zoroaster, which was transable to him, to others, in some form that could have concrete meaning to the people of the time. Especially they understood it to be devil, or a stone which they believed to manifest in that area that which was negative, especially that of the negative forces within nature they felt emanated from that which was as the devil‘s stone. Thus the term became widespread, even beyond to those peoples who did not understand the original term being that as devil stone.
Q Does it have anything to do with philosopher‘s stone?
S To a degree, yes.
Q You used the word ‘transable.‘ Did you mean going from one person to another, or translatable?
S Also transmitting.
Matthew 13:41–43
The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
S Once again, this is the manifestation within self of that which is the Christ way, the Christ thought. For here the angels are those thoughts, those deeds which are selfless and are given over to the total control of that which is the spiritual nature of self. The wailing, the gnashing of teeth, is that which is the personality, that which is the awareness of this earth form, this earth being that does not want to be put aside for the higher being – that which lies within, the force, the love of God.
Matthew 13:44
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which
when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.
S This is that which when one finds the way, they may cast aside all that holds them back, all that which they would consider material, mental, for that which is spiritual.
Matthew 13:45-46
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it.
S If ye cannot cast aside that which is earthly, that which has had meaning or value to self as the mental-physical being, for that of great value, the greatest pear1 of all– the Christ that lies within, the God without, the God total – ye are not as the wise merchant. For ye must do this at some time to attain that which is the uplifting force that will lift you from this plane.
Matthew 13:47-49
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
S This is the casting into the life the net of that which is the weighing of actions, of thoughts within self. That which will feed others and bring them the light is the good. That which was done for self, regardless of the motivation then, is the negative that must be cast aside and destroyed.
Matthew 13:50-51
And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Jesus saith unto them, “Have ye understood all these things?” They say unto him, “Yea, Lord”.
S Then make known within selves that which is the method of cleansing self– prayer and meditation – that thine entire being may be aware of that which is the God Force, love within action, totality of being
Matthew 13:52
Then said he unto them, “Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new, and old.
S Once again, that which ye do is written, not upon golden tablets, not in rock, but within that which is the spiritual being. Becomes part of that which is your treasure, that ye may bring forth to give to others that is new or old, within thy many lifespans, that ye may be as He the Christ, Jesus, and give to others the light, the joy, of God.
Matthew 13:53–58
And it came to pass, that when Jesus had finished these parables, he departed thence. And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, “Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things? And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
S Negative thought is that which, ever holds many back. Here represented, though to the greater extent, is that which is as self. For who does not have that within themselves that tells them that the worldliness is the greater, that the spiritual is not for the entity, that mocks the word of God and the action of same. For ye have builded over the many eons of time that which is a centering upon the mental-physical man rather than that which is the spiritual being. And as the spiritual being becomes aware, awakened, and fed, it must fight that which is the battle against the mental-spiritual man. We say man, for the tendency is within the male understanding and being within each and every individual rather than the female which is that which holds to itself the thought, the power, the might of God the more.
Q You said that we have to fight the battle against the mental-spiritual man. Did you mean mental-physical?
S The mental-spiritual is as that which is as manifest of the world, or the spirit of the world, or man. The spiritual by itself is the truth, or the true being, that which is the nature of God.
Q James, I understand, was Jesus’ brother. Who were Joses and Simon and Judas?
S Also names for brothers.
Q I thought He only had two brothers and one sister.
S The entity Jesus’ brothers and sisters were known by names within the family and names within the community. Even as Jesus was called by several names before using that. Jeasou, Jazon, in the life, more. Was called by several names through childhood, even into early manhood.
Q The Source stated that Jesus was known by several names within the family and the community. And again it lists two others, Jeasou and Jazon. Could you give us the English spelling for those?
S Jazon, or the latter, is much like it would be spelled as you would find it in the Latin version. Jeasou as Y-a–z–a-0. Yazao. [10-45, 5-7-78]
Q Cayce said there were two brothers and one sister. Is this incorrect?
S This is correct. There were other names or, as you would call nicknames, more, used for the brothers, the sisters in the community. Called by relatives by one name; called by the family or the close relatives by another; and by the community by another. Still is a custom in parts of the world that are known as the Holy Land or bordering them. The people, you see, at that time, had that belief that lingered on from prior religious understandings, that to be called by the true name called attention to self of the demons. Whereas that which is called by another name, not given as the religious ceremony or by the naming by the parents, was to lead the demons astray, who could only work their demonry through the use of the correct name.
Q Could it be given which of these names are the same person, James and Joses, Simon and Judas?
S James was known as Simon quite often. The girls were known quite often as Lydia and Barbara.
Q What was the name that Jesus was given in the family?
S Yeaode.
Q Were there two sisters, then?
S Two sisters, correct.
Q Cayce gave information that there were two brothers and one sister. And her name was Ruth.
S This is correct. The one known as Barbara was as Ruth. The one who was taken into the family, and sister, not by birth but by raising, is Lydia.
Q In Cayce reading (1904–2) it is indicated that Mary fulfilled her physical karma by bearing three children by man. Did Jesus have physical karma to fulfill? And if so, what was it?
S His physical karma was learning to work with his hands and to do the tasks that are allotted to a worker, that the understanding could come. For He had never come before in form or guise of one who used the body, actually, to do physical labor of any skill, or of any kind.
Q Did Jesus have any female lives in the earth?
S Negative. They appeared, and His learning was affected by that which was as Mary. Mary, in turn, was affected and subjected to the lives, or the male lives, as found in Jesus the Man. This is why there was so much feminine grace, though strength, within Jesus the Man. Likewise, though not spoken of, the strength of character that is found, that you would call masculine, was found in Mary. Often shocked those about her with her strength of purpose and abilities.
Q So this is one way the soul uses aspects to get balance through different lives and different sexes. Is that right?
S Aspects are as that which ye would see as rays or light waves coming from a body, such as the sun. They are those things which are drawn together or return together to form the one.
Q Did Mary and Jesus share the same subconscious mind?
S Each had their own subconscious mind, though there was total understanding and peace between the two. But remember, even as given, it is mirrored or rayed back to that which is the central body, or the soul force itself, see? Therefore, in essence, all aspects share the same total or true conscious-subconscious-superlative mind.
Q Did Mary, as an aspect of Jesus, incarnate each time that He did?
S No.
Q Have there been any other aspects in the earth from the soul that Jesus and Mary came from?
S Only in the direct line of the two. [10-45, 5-7–78]
S It is for each and every member of this group to take into heart, to understand the 14th chapter of Matthew, proceeding from that which is as the losing of self‘s intelligence, or will – that is self, see, as representational as John the Baptist, to that which is as walking on the water, as Peter, knowing that the helping hand of Light Itself, Jesus the Christ is ever present to pull self from the engulfing waves of life, to that which is even to know in self, that in understanding and in faith, to even touch the hem of His garment is to be made whole. Therefore, study that 14th chapter and know that this is the lesson for each and every individual to become aware of to overcome the world. For light is truth. And what is truth ... what is light. . . but God intelligence. Replace thine own intelligence with that which is of the Lord, even through Hirn that is the Light, the Way, and the Truth. [10-5, 12-14-73]
