This document is an in-depth analysis and interpretation of Matthew 7, a chapter from the Bible. It discusses inner transformation and various verses in detail, exploring themes like judgment, self-reflection, the importance of seeking and asking, understanding the nature of true spiritual wisdom, and the dangers of hypocrisy and false teachings. The text integrates these biblical teachings with broader spiritual concepts, emphasizing the importance of inner transformation, understanding the divine, and aligning one’s actions with spiritual truths.
Matthew 7:1–5
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
S Once again, this is asking for cleansing of self, self-sacrifice of that which is as the material man. For here you have karma; here you have that which even is ‘mind is the builder.‘ For when ye cannot others, you do not build up within self the illusion of condemnation. When ye can no longer find fault, then fault does not exist. Though others may see it happen to the external man that is you, or the external mind or personality that is you, the truth of your being is released and that which has happened is no longer. For time and the proprieties of time no longer exist and ye have passed that which is the barrier of the material, earthly plane. Can ye understand this?
Matthew 7:6
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
S This does not have so much to do with that which is the parting of the wealth or the material so much as it has to do with prayers and thoughts. That is why a prime directive to each and every individual is: pray only for those who ask for your prayers. For then you interfere with that which is their own progression. It is also the answer to those who would ask for your giving in areas that at this time you cannot see to give. Therefore, as directed before: give, then, to the causes of your belief, regardless of what they are, when asked by others to give to those things which are not acceptable to your understanding or your well-being at this time.
Q I thought it was all right to pray for others if you ask that the Father’s will be done.
S For their general good and the Father‘s will, but never without asking unless prefixed by ‘Thy will be done.‘
Matthew 7:7
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
S Here we have that which covers all the situations that any entity may come in contact with, whether it be that which is the physical nature, the spiritual nature, that which is possession, that which is the yearning and urging of other times and places. Here is the key (if there is a key) to heaven. For knock is that which is as meditation and prayer. Seeking is that which is turning the mind and the will into the direction of the spirit. For how often is only one used the mind, or the will, or sometimes both – without that which is the spiritual direction.
Q Where is the failure when you‘re trying to meditate and your mind keeps wandering all over the place?
S Discipline.
Q That’s the will?
S The will, yes, is that which has not been disciplined. For the mind must discipline the will. But the will is the power that gives to the mind, then, that which is the constructive force, or that which builds in this plane and in the mental plane.
Q Is there an exercise that would help in disciplining this problem?
S You may focus the mind on a spot – not an actual spot as to the physical world – but a mental spot, making that mental spot a spiritual spot, directing the will to direct the mind to focusing upon that spot-a pearl, if you would have it so – and let that pearl be a focus point, directing the mind towards it totally, a few seconds at a time until you can do it a minute at a time, two minutes at a time – need not be more. Once you have accomplished this, then you have the ability. Your mind knows that the will knows the way, and that which is the wandering, then, can be disciplined.
Q How can we really know when we’re working through the spirit- truly know?
S Only by its fruits.
Q What does asking represent?
S Asking is that which is prayer, or the bending of that which is the personality or the ego to realize that there is that which is more important than self– God.
Matthew 7:8
For everyone that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
S Here, then, is the promise that when you do these things, and in truth do these things, not superficially, not at one level – the mental – and here is why so often there are those who give up, or question, or fail, for they seek only at one level, have only one level of understanding. Normally this occurs in the mental level where the mind has decided: this is what I will ask for, this is what I will seek, this is what I will knock– and sees not results. For there are
not the results on the level that can be understood without the mind, will, and spiritual being in balance.
Matthew 7:9-1 1
Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
S Here, you see, once you are in balance, the understanding of what comes beyond this plane and beyond those next few planes above this one is indescribable, unbelievable, and yet, undeniable to that which is, we would quote ‘the human mind or human understanding.“
Matthew 7:12
Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
S Once again, karma and mind.
Matthew 7:13-14
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in there at: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
S Here is the warning so often neglected, so often misunderstood: that as ye seek into that which is the spiritual nature, that which ye seek into, that which are the forces of the mind, be not led astray by temptation, thrill, power, or the subtle desires that well up within. For how many, oh how many, have found a key, but to the wrong door, have not walked the path, but deviated, even though they thought they were doing this, or that, for mankind, for others, for God. They did not keep the eye single, the purpose single, and sought into those realms that would enhance their own selves in one way or another. For there are lusts of the body, lusts of the mind, and lusts of the will. If the spirit is not kept in the fore, the mind and the will will use those powers, so–called, to be psychic (what you would have as psychic), to manifest or make a world of difference within themselves and others. Therefore, even cast aside these that would be termed as psychic and turn on that which is the spiritual nature of self. For it is the single light, the single power. For the Christ, for that which is the Holy Spirit, cannot be used to the negative, but only to the positive. Therefore, always aim, even as He, Jesus, who became the Christ, to that which is God, not rationalizing as so many will, and do, and have. For the consequences are tantamount to the destruction of self and the reuse of self in the energy flow of God.
Q How do you define destruction as you just used it?
S The loss, the destruction of the knowing, of the identity of each and every individual, by the removal of the name of self from that which is the Book of Life, making it mandatory that the essence, the spirit, return to that which is the Source of Life itself, no longer as an individual destined to be a ruler, a god, in the image of the Grand Maker of all things.
Q What if the psychic comes, but you haven’t sought it out?
S Then use it to further that which is the bringing forth of the spiritual nature of self.
Q Does a person reap such a destruction on the basis of one life or does he get more than one chance?
S There is that point of no return, of many lifetimes. When once there has been an acceptance of God as the single, loving God, and then the entities choose to challenge it, which they must, even as some here, that is the fulcrum that ye may balance upon or find that ye slip aside. This is food for thought. This is what contemplation is about. Decide within that which is your own mind where ye stand. Therefore, it is always the admonishment to each and every individual: believe in your heart that you have accepted the one living God before, and it is this life that determines your future. ln doing so, you then determine within yourself, there is but one goal, one objective-God. For how often have souls regressed, even with the knowledge, knowing that there is a wheel of karma, knowing there is reincarnation, and falling prey to that which are the forces of the mind and the will– the ego, the intellect, the devil-and enjoying for their sake, then, the earth plane rather than that of using the earth plane as it is intended as a stepping stone to that which are higher ways and places, not learning, but falling back.
Q It was stated, ”When there has been an acceptance of God as the single God, and then the entities choose to challenge it, which they must, even as some here, that is the fulcrum that you may balance upon or find that ye slip aside.” Does this mean a challenge of the acceptance of God or a challenge of the single loving God?
S lt is all. For you must face, then, a reality within yourself how you vision God, how you fit into that which is God’s plan. lt is that which is the coming face-to-face with the acceptance and realization of the truth, or that which is the backing away and the use of the blinders, see? [10–118, 5-14-83]
Q Must each person balance on this fulcrum?
S Each and every individual must balance the fulcrum of self.
Q More than once?
S lt is a totality.
Matthew 7:15–20
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
S Ever is this the measure, that which comes forth, that which is the result, look to that. For how often, even in this day, are those who preach selfishness, self, ideology, all of these things, you see, that lead away from that which is the focal point of the existence of every soul – God. How many would set up an idol? How many would have an ideology rather than God? How many would set material goals? How many would put the ego of the individual as that which is the forefront, or the mind, or the intellect, or the will? These are those [who] will be cast aside, who will leave that which is the stream of individuality to become that which is the stream of the God Force, unknowing of the individual life.
Q Why did the Master use the two symbols grapes and figs? What is their significance?
S For that which is the man or the man body, or even the mental man, and to an extent the spiritual man, you have forced the cleansing effects, the growing effects, of that which are as the grapes and the fig, and that which are the products of same. Even as you would have the wine be (which became that which was the essence of the spiritual understanding or worship of God) even as the blood of Christ – misused, misunderstood, and mishandled. Where you have the properties within the two, one as the grape to affect that which is the physical nature by that which are the antibodies that that produces within man towards that which is the overcoming of disease, and the fig which regulates the flow, or the electrical flow within the body – both having the effect upon that which is the spiritual center within self.
Q Could the grape diet be healing for serious things like cancer?
S Oh, yes. And this is why often has it been given as grape poultices, you see, or compresses of saine. Rather, though, not the green grape nor the ripe grape, only as they are indicated. For some things, which is the ripened grape is the best; for others, that which is the green grape is best, depending upon the variety of grapes available, or that which is as the physical nature of the ailment or the mental ailment. We would suggest for many who have doubts, or even in this group who have had, or have at this time, mental problems of worry or strain, that that which is as the green grape is that which is the relaxant, too, and gives much to that of the body that would align the fears. Whereas that which is the purple grape is more towards the overcoming of the physical handicaps, or the physical bothers or biases of the body.
Q When you say green, do you mean color or unripe.
S The colors, yes.
Q Does the question of different kinds of grapes relate to different kinds of individuals or does it relate to specific diseases?
S Both.
Q Are the healing properties primarily in the skins of the grapes?
S ln the entirety. It is best, too, to use the seeded grapes rather than the seedless. Emblematic, you see, of that, the seed of life. Does not exist in that which are as the seedless grapes.
Q Should the seeds he eaten?
S Not necessarily eaten, although they can be, once they are ground thoroughly (by), or masticated the more, but primarily their presence is the important thing.
Q In speaking of the good tree and the corrupt tree, are we speaking at all of the 144,000 after the Second Corning?
S To some extent, but [what] we are speaking of here, you see, is life used correctly or not correctly. For the tree is the symbol of life upon this plane.
Q We were told by a young man doing psychic research, and who is traveling over the country, that there are thousands, well, suppose it‘s only dozens, of psychics throughout the country doing readings virtually indistinguishable from Cayce’s, even to the frequent use of the word ‘see‘. Could you please comment on this?
S Oh yes. This is programmed. Many can read, and remember, and the subconscious uses it. But know them by their fruits. They may pour out this. They may pour out that. But look to that which is the healing, look to that which is the prophecy, to know. Look to the fruits– the long-term fruits rather than that which is so easily given. For there are many who seek. Remember, accept that which is the vein as given in Cayce, and look to them in question who do not say that the Christ is the answer, or who do not say turn to yourself. For ... that is the key. For if they glamorize themselves, then they are not of that which is the Holy Order. [10-14, 2–22–75J
Matthew 7:21-23
Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
S For here, then, is the misuse (or even the misuse of concepts, of understanding, of wisdom) of that which is the spiritual or the divine. For how many have misused that which is Jesus the Christ’s name in their ways, their causes, however destructive, however painful to others. For here are those who prophecy for the ego, who speak for God and yet for self, who do not understand what Jesus the man, Jesus the Christ, the Holy One of Israel, spoke of or meant. Those who would give evil for evil, or give evil for good, these are those who are spoken of here. Those who seek for self, for selfishness, those are those that will be cast aside in that day of reckoning that self must become the judge.
Q Could you clarify Christ’s words where He said He never knew these people who said they prophesied in His name? What sort of people were they?
S The Master was talking of those who had twisted the word of God, not only for self-benefit, but for ego-centered reasons through ignorance. One of the great sins that man seems to be unable to understand is that of ignorance. If a person does not know, this is one thing. But to speak and do through ignorance is a crime. For the ignorance of same misleads many people and robs them of that which should be theirs in the existence they are in. There, in His time, were many who did this. There were many who worshipped the laws and worked from the laws, not understanding the laws were there for the coining of the Master and for the development of that which God has given man – not to restrict him – and to be used as a money making, ego shaping thing. [6–3–69]
Matthew 7:24-29
Therefore, whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken hum unto a wise man, which built his house upon rock: Anel the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and heat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
S And here you have the direction, you see, that you must go, even as Peter – called the rock – found the rock when he realized from what Jesus spoke. So must self, have that rock and build upon. The house referred to here must be the house of thine understanding, thy being. And the rains that come are those things that would trouble the body-physical, the body–mental, the will body, and even the spiritual body of self. Hold fast to that, then, which even as became that of the guiding light of others – the Christ is the Way, is the Light, is the Truth, is the Mercy. For ye have all had that opportunity before. Now realize what it is to be given the opportunity to become a rock for others to build upon.
